Converseen alternatives
Converseen is a free batch image processor for Windows, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD. It converts, resizes, rotates, flips and compresses images, and can rename batches or turn all or selected PDF pages into images. ImageMagick gives it support for more than 100 image formats, including common types such as JPEG and PNG as well as HEIC/HEIF and AVIF. It also extracts images from Windows icon files. Its manual workflow suits people who want these image tasks in a desktop program without a price.

The fit has limits: batch work is manual, PDF processing on Windows and Linux requires Ghostscript, and the macOS release is beta and not codesigned. If your work spans video, audio, documents or archives, or you need a web service, API, cloud-file input or automated conversion, another tool may fit better. Compare the kind of files you handle and whether you prefer a desktop batch processor, browser-based conversion, or developer integration. Some alternatives focus on very different jobs, such as creating animated GIFs or converting video, rather than replacing Converseen's image workflow.
