Freedom251 is published by Yorker Media, a digital media business based in India. This page explains how the guides on the blog are made, how they are dated and corrected, and how the site is paid for.
How a guide is made
The blog’s guides cover the software, devices and services people use: how to set something up, how to fix it when it breaks, and what changed in the news. They are drafted with AI writing tools from information already published on each topic, and published by the Freedom251 team under the Freedom251 Team byline.
Dates
Every guide shows the date it was published. Software, prices and plans change after that day, so before you rely on a step, a price or a requirement, check it against the maker’s own page: it has the final word.
The directory
The best lists, the app pages and the comparisons are made differently from the blog. Every price, plan and platform on them is read from the maker’s own pages, and each list shows the day its research was read. Apps are ranked on one published rule, explained on how we rank.
Corrections
If a guide or a directory page is wrong or out of date, write to [email protected] with the page’s address and, if you can, where the right fact is published. We check it and correct the page.
How Freedom251 is paid for
By advertising, by listings and places that makers buy on the directory, by sponsored stories, and by commissions on some links. What can be bought on the directory is on the disclosure page, and how affiliate links work is on the affiliate disclosure. For advertising, sponsored stories and partnerships, write to [email protected]; prices are on the advertise page.
