Weava Highlighter alternatives

Weava Highlighter is built for gathering research from websites and PDFs. It supports highlights on webpages, online and local PDFs, and PDFs uploaded to Weava, with notes, folders, sub-folders, search, and color filters to organize a project. Its dashboard can create citations and export work to Word, Excel, CSV, or TXT. Premium shared folders let collaborators work with highlights and notes, and access is available through an extension, web, and iOS.

A switch may suit readers who run into Weava’s free plan limit of 100 MB or want more than five default highlight colors without upgrading. Premium is $3.99 per month and adds unlimited storage, customizable colors, collaboration, and prioritized support. Weava does not highlight Google Drive or Google Classroom files directly, and some websites may conflict with its highlighter. Consider whether you need research annotation or a different kind of review, such as comments pinned to live sites, client approvals, education-focused group discussion, or visual feedback on creative files.
