Instead of AuroraBoot
AuroraBoot alternatives
AuroraBoot combines image building, machine provisioning and fleet operations for Kairos. It creates ISO, UKI, raw disk and system-extension images from Kairos flavors or container images, and provisions machines through PXE/netboot, Redfish or USB. Its browser dashboard and Artifact Builder templates support artifact creation, while the REST API and Go client mirror the UI. Registered nodes can receive upgrade, reboot, reset, cloud-config and shell commands with captured output. It also provides SecureBoot key handling for PK, KEK, db and TPM PCR policy keys.

Other tools may suit teams focused on a narrower task or broader infrastructure management. AuroraBoot is free and self-hosted, but its netboot server sends deployment files and cloud-config over unauthenticated plain HTTP to reachable clients. When comparing alternatives, consider whether you need disk cloning, hardware monitoring, OS installation from ISO files, or lifecycle automation across physical and virtual servers. Weigh those needs against the alternative’s deployment methods, supported systems, server requirements, management interfaces and price. Some options concentrate on imaging or monitoring rather than AuroraBoot’s combination of image creation and fleet commands.
