Mockup Hunt

Overview

Mockup Hunt is a free web directory for discovering Photoshop mockups gathered from multiple creators. It fits graphic designers who need ready-made presentation scenes without paying for a library subscription. The main limitation is workflow: the site helps you find PSD files, while downloading and editing happen elsewhere.

Key features

A search field and broad category structure cover apparel, brochures, magazines, devices, stationery, posters, packaging, signs, logos, branding, websites and animated mockups. This makes the directory useful when a project calls for a specific context, such as a phone screen, product package or printed publication, rather than a generic image.

The collection is described as hand-curated and refreshed weekly, which gives the directory an ongoing discovery role. Listings identify Photoshop or PSD downloads and name originating sites such as Freemockupzone, Mrmockup, Freepsdtemplates, Graphberry and Pixeden. That transparency helps you trace a file to its creator, but the download is on the external source. Mockup Hunt's terms disclaim responsibility for third-party materials and websites, so the destination's conditions remain important.

Blank mockups are presented as straightforward to edit and suitable for showcasing designs. In practice, that makes the service a good match for Photoshop users who already know how to replace artwork in a PSD. It is not an in-browser editor, and the contact service says it cannot provide help with editing mockups. Support is aimed at broken-link reports, business or advertising enquiries, and requests for new mockup features.

Pricing

The Free mockups plan costs nothing. It provides free mockups for download, with each item linking to its source website. There is no paid tier or free trial to weigh, and no subscription renewal or seat allowance applies. The trade-off is that the value is limited to discovery and access to free PSD files; any restrictions, attribution terms or other conditions are set by the originating site.

Platforms

Mockup Hunt is offered on the web. The website is operated by Studio October Oy in Finland, and its infrastructure uses Shopify for hosting, storage, databases and general applications.

Who it's for

Choose Mockup Hunt if you are a graphic designer building portfolio pieces, client previews or marketing presentations and want a wide range of editable PSD scenes at no cost. It is especially useful when you are comfortable following external download links and handling Photoshop files yourself. Look elsewhere if you need browser-based editing, built-in guidance, guaranteed file support or a single provider responsible for every asset.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Broad coverage: Categories span print, packaging, devices, branding, websites and more, increasing the chance of finding a suitable presentation setting.
• Free access: The directory charges free mockup, with no trial or subscription decision.
• Curated discovery: Hand curation and weekly updates give the collection a maintained, browsable focus.
• Source visibility: Listings name originating websites, making it clearer where a file comes from.

Cons

• External downloads: You leave Mockup Hunt for each file, and third-party sites set their own terms and reliability.
• PSD-only workflow: The stated format suits Photoshop users but not people seeking an online editor or other project formats.
• No editing assistance: Support does not troubleshoot mockup editing, so beginners must solve that work independently.
• Service caveat: The terms do not warrant secure or error-free use, and third-party materials are outside the operator's responsibility.

Alternatives

For a broader directory view, browse Mockup Libraries. Pick Mediamodifier Mockup Generator instead when you want a freemium web, mobile and API service with free templates, fonts, integrations and download or embed options. Mockuuups Studio is the better choice for a desktop-capable library with a free collection and a 12.00 USD-per-month Professional plan offering more than 5,300 mockups.

Choose The Mock House if mobile access and a template service matter, accepting the Free plan's three mockups per month, watermark and personal-use limit. Angle 4 suits users wanting sample mockups plus Figma, Sketch and XD plugins. Mockit is preferable for browser exports: its Standard plan is free, has unlimited exports up to 1200px, requires no signup and adds no watermark.

Mockups Design offers free PSD downloads with smaller-resolution versions, while its full-resolution packaging pack uses custom pricing. Polymock is a free web option with unlimited renders and end products under an attribution-required community license. Presenta is worth considering for a free studio with PNG, JPG and WebP export.

Verdict

Mockup Hunt is a strong starting point for designers who want a large, no-cost selection of PSD presentation assets and are happy to manage Photoshop editing and external downloads themselves. Its categories, search, named sources and regular curation make discovery efficient.
