Instead of Mocai
Mocai alternatives
Mocai turns footage from one camera into markerless motion capture, reconstructing a subject’s body, mesh, and 127-joint skeleton. It accepts phone footage without markers, suits, or calibration. Capture options include finger articulation, multiple performers, root motion, floor grounding, occlusion repair, adjustable smoothing, and synchronized footage review. Exports include FBX, GLB, BVH, USD, and raw keypoints, with optional retargets and plugins for Blender, Unity, Maya, and Unreal. Its public API, webhooks, and MCP server can support automated workflows.

A different tool may suit you better if you need real-time avatar control, facial tracking, text-generated motion, or a multi-camera setup. Mocai is not real-time, and its plans limit monthly footage and clip length; performer limits also vary by plan. Portal and API uploads share the same footage allowance, and new uploads pause once it is used. When comparing alternatives, consider whether you need animation for an avatar or reconstructed motion data, which export formats and apps you use, and whether your capture setup, processing workflow, and commercial-use needs fit the product.
