Instead of Argo Rollouts
Argo Rollouts alternatives
Argo Rollouts gives Kubernetes teams fine-grained control over progressive releases. Its controller supports blue-green, canary, and rolling updates, shifts traffic through ingress controllers or service meshes, and can use metric analysis to promote or roll back a release. It can also adjust ReplicaSet counts without a traffic provider, and works on its own rather than requiring Argo CD. The project is free and self-hosted, with optional command-line management and a dashboard.

GoCD
Free plan APILinuxMac+3Teams modeling complex delivery workflows across environments — GoCD adds value stream visualization, parallel workflow execution, dependency management, and commit-to-deploy traceability beyond Argo Rollouts' Kubernetes release control.

Argo CD
Free plan APILinuxMac+3Kubernetes teams needing GitOps and multi-cluster deployment — Argo CD reconciles Git-defined desired state and can deploy across multiple clusters; Argo Rollouts instead controls progressive releases within each cluster.

That focus comes with boundaries: each cluster needs its own controller, and each Rollout covers one application rather than dependencies among applications. Shared-resource or worker-queue applications may not work well, and infrastructure applications are not recommended. Alternatives here include broader delivery pipelines, mobile build and publishing tools, and GitOps systems that reconcile clusters. Compare the product’s workload focus, deployment model, integration needs, and whether you need release-level traffic control or a wider workflow that spans build, test, and deployment.
