What TherapyNotes is

TherapyNotes is an online practice management and electronic health record system for behavioral health practices. It brings scheduling, documentation, and billing together and supports one-time and recurring appointments. Every plan includes a client portal, secure messaging for clients and staff, basic telehealth for up to two participants, and unlimited clients, appointments, notes, and file storage. Solo costs $69 a month for one user. Group costs $79 a month for the first clinician and $50 a month for each additional clinician. Enterprise uses the same rates as Group and requires at least 30 users. A 30-day trial is available. Optional billing features include electronic and paper claims, electronic remittance advice, and real-time eligibility verification, with per-use charges. Premium Telehealth costs $15/month per clinician and supports up to 16 participants. Mobile apps for iOS/iPadOS and Android provide an agenda, patient directory, secure messaging, notifications, and offline access to some information, but omit notes, billing, reports, and portal features. Mobile clinicians can access only their own agenda.

Who it suits

TherapyNotes is aimed at behavioral health practices, including private practices, agencies, and clinics that actively see clients. Its plans cover solo and group clinicians, while Enterprise requires at least 30 users.

Limits

The $9.00 per month Secure storage plan preserves access to existing records and billing history, but does not allow creating appointments, notes, or patients; the portal and listed billing features are disabled. Basic telehealth supports up to two participants; Premium Telehealth is $15/month per clinician and supports up to 16.
