MCA Selector is a free tool for selecting and changing chunks and regions in Minecraft Java Edition world saves. It works with Anvil .mca region files and supports versions 1.2.1 through 1.21.11 and 26.1 through 26.3+. Filters can select, export or delete chunks and regions using conditions such as data version, last update time and inhabited time; conditions can be combined or expressed in one-line Groovy scripts. Its chunk editor exposes NBT structures, including poi and entity data, for changing, adding, removing or moving tags. Chunks can be imported from another world with offsets, overwrite options, selection-only import, Y offsets and section ranges. Selections can be copied and pasted through the system clipboard, while configurable color-gradient overlays display per-chunk values. A command-line mode supports operations including selection creation, import and export, deletion, region defragmentation, NBT changes and image generation. Downloads include Windows, macOS and Linux builds and a universal JAR. The project warns that snapshot-generated worlds may not work even when their version appears in its support table, and recommends backing up because the tool can modify or delete chunks.

Who it is for
