Luna is a cloud catalog
Luna provides eligible cloud-playable content through Standard, which is an eligible Prime benefit, and through the separate paid Premium tier with an expanded library. Prime is not free: it is a paid membership with a Luna benefit for eligible members. The exact Luna catalog and device availability can change, so confirm both for your location.
GeForce NOW streams eligible PC games
GeForce NOW is primarily a streaming route to supported PC games from connected stores. A paid streaming membership does not itself grant every paid PC game: you need the applicable game entitlement, and the specific title and store edition must be supported. NVIDIA described its catalog as more than 4,500 supported PC games in 2026, but that changing total cannot establish that an individual game is playable.

Does Premium cloud streaming work on PlayStation Portal?
In supported regions, Premium allows adult accounts to cloud-stream select PS5 games on PlayStation Portal. Sony says Portal does not currently cloud-stream PS4 or PS3 titles; select eligible owned digital PS5 games can also stream. Portal is an optional device, not a prerequisite for using Premium cloud streaming on PS5.
Sony specifies at least 5 Mbps upload and download to establish a PS5 or Portal cloud session, with higher recommended bandwidth for higher resolutions. That minimum is a service threshold, not a promise of smooth play: Wi-Fi quality, household congestion, and latency can affect the experience. Before choosing Premium for Portal, verify the supported region, adult-account requirement, and eligibility of the individual game.

If you are considering buying hardware specifically for this use, the relevant product category is the PlayStation Portal remote player. Treat it as an optional way to play select eligible streamed PS5 games, not a requirement for a Premium subscription or a universal cloud player for the PlayStation library. What about PlayStation on PC?

When is Luna Premium worth considering?
Consider Premium only after comparing its current expanded catalog with Standard and confirming that its additional games justify another paid tier for you. A fixed current US Premium price was not established in the checked Amazon terms, so use the price displayed at checkout rather than relying on a stale amount. Amazon’s compatible-device and territory rules can change as well.
Because Luna is cloud-first, check the current compatible-device list before subscribing, especially if you plan to play on a TV or a device other than a computer. NVIDIA’s product page described more than 4,500 supported PC games in 2026. That is a catalog-size claim that can change, not a promise that all PC releases or all editions are supported. Before paying, look up the game by title and confirm the connected store edition and any entitlement requirements. If you play across several stores, check each title individually rather than assuming support for one edition guarantees support for another.
How much monthly playtime do you get?
NVIDIA’s 2026 FAQ says Performance and Ultimate members get 100 hours of monthly premium playtime, with up to 15 unused hours rolling over. Those figures apply to those paid membership tiers, not as a universal limit for all gaming or all services. The available 2026 membership information does not establish reliable current prices for those paid plans.
If you expect to play beyond the premium allowance, check NVIDIA’s current membership terms for the options available after the allowance is used. Do not budget on the assumption that unlimited premium playtime is included. The Free tier is also available, but plan benefits and access conditions should be checked in the current listing. Before choosing a paid tier, estimate your likely monthly hours and compare them with the allowance; a supported game library alone does not tell you whether the time limit fits your habits.
What connection and devices does it require?
NVIDIA specifies 15 Mbps for Windows HD streaming at up to 60 frames per second and 25 Mbps for Windows 1080p at 60 frames per second, along with a latency requirement. These are service requirements, not independent measurements of real-world performance; higher-resolution or higher-frame-rate modes require more bandwidth. Check NVIDIA’s current system requirements for the mode and device you plan to use.

GeForce NOW supports many device types, but compatibility is model-specific. NVIDIA lists particular Fire TV Stick generations and firmware, and its Fire TV app supports Xbox, DualSense, DualShock 4, and Luna controllers. That does not mean every Fire TV Stick or every controller/device combination is supported. Confirm the exact model, firmware, and controller pairing before buying hardware.
If you want to play on a television, a compatible Fire TV Stick 4K is one possible option only when the exact supported model and firmware match NVIDIA’s current list. A supported Xbox Wireless Controller may also be an option if your chosen TV player needs a controller. NVIDIA lists a Luna Controller for its Fire TV app, but that does not establish universal compatibility on other devices. Check what you already own first; a new streaming stick or controller is optional, not a requirement for every GeForce NOW user.
What should I check before subscribing?
A short eligibility check can prevent paying for the wrong catalog or a plan that cannot stream the game on your device.
- Find the exact game and edition. Check whether it is currently in the PlayStation or Luna catalog, or whether its exact PC store edition is supported by GeForce NOW. Confirm location-specific availability.
- Choose download or streaming. If you want to download PlayStation catalog games, Extra is the practical starting point. If you need PlayStation cloud streaming, check Premium eligibility. Luna and GeForce NOW are cloud-first, so ensure your device and connection are suitable.
- Check the full recurring cost. For PlayStation, compare the monthly and annual US list prices and verify checkout terms. For Luna, account for Prime if you do not already subscribe and check Premium’s displayed price. For GeForce NOW, check the paid-tier price and allowance in current terms.
- Verify device and account requirements. For Portal, check region, adult-account, and game support. For NVIDIA, confirm the specific device model, firmware, controller, and connection requirements. For Luna, verify the current supported-device list for your location.
- Recheck before paying. Catalogs, compatible devices, plan terms, and prices can change. A search result or older game page may no longer describe what is available at checkout.
For a game you already own, make sure you understand what the subscription adds. With GeForce NOW, ownership or another entitlement and service support are both necessary; the streaming plan is not a replacement purchase for every game. Do these services keep games in their catalogs permanently?
No catalog should be treated as permanent ownership. Availability can rotate, and the timing of removals may matter if you are choosing a subscription for a particular game.
Are all PS5 games available to stream on PS5 or PlayStation Portal?
