Wordeex is a mobile word puzzle in which vocabulary supplies candidate words, but deduction identifies the only set that fits the whole board. Each puzzle begins with 16 letters drawn from three to five hidden words. You must recover those specific words and use every letter; when you find a correct target, its letters disappear and the remaining letters become a new constraint. A plausible dictionary word is not automatically an answer.
That design makes Wordeex different from a sequence of colored guesses. The useful habit is to look beyond “Can I make a word?” and ask “If this is one of the answers, can the letters left over still form every word the clues require?”

What is Wordeex?
Wordeex is Ganko’s finite-letter deduction game for iPhone. The board presents 16 starting letters representing three to five hidden words. The objective is to identify that complete set and account for every letter. Ganko says each puzzle has one unique solution.
The board changes after every correct discovery: the letters belonging to a target word are removed, so the remainder gives you a smaller, more informative problem. This is why solving is not simply an anagram race. Vocabulary helps you generate possibilities; the board’s word counts, lengths and leftover letters determine whether a possibility can actually belong to the solution.

Do not treat every valid-looking word as an accepted answer. Ganko explicitly warns that “a real word isn’t always one of the words you’re looking for.” The game’s target set, rather than a general dictionary, determines which letters should disappear.
How does a Wordeex solve move from vocabulary to deduction?
A reliable way to understand the game is to separate recognition from proof. Use the following sequence as a reasoning framework derived from Wordeex’s mechanics, not as a guaranteed shortcut.

- Scan the 16 letters for candidates. Look for familiar words, unusual letter combinations and letters that appear only once. At this stage, a word is a hypothesis, not a solution.
- Read every clue that is visible. Depending on the chapter or mode, you may see starting letters, word lengths, both, or neither. Record how many words remain and what lengths they must have.
- Subtract the candidate mentally. Imagine those letters disappearing. Examine whether the remainder can still supply the required number of words and lengths. A candidate that leaves an impossible count or an isolated letter is probably not one of the targets.
- Commit when the whole board supports it. The strongest answer is the one that fits its own clues and leaves a coherent path for all remaining words. This look-ahead step is the logic half of Wordeex.
- Re-evaluate a stalled branch. If the remainder stops making sense, revisit the least certain candidate instead of assuming the game accepted an incorrect target and stranded you. The puzzle is designed around a complete solution, so an uncertain earlier choice is the first place to inspect.
Repeated letters and scarce letters are especially useful evidence. A repeated vowel may be needed by two different targets, while a rare consonant can force the word that contains it. Keep a running mental or written inventory of letters so that an attractive word does not consume a character another required word needs.
What clues do Wordeex’s modes provide?
The modes change how much information you receive and what kind of challenge you are pursuing. The core letter-removal mechanic remains the same, but the available clues and social goal differ.

Daily puzzles
The daily format is intended as a common challenge: players using the same language work on the same puzzle. That makes your result meaningful as a shared solve rather than a private random board, although the listing does not establish a ranking system or a universal time target.
Chapters
Chapters withhold clues gradually. A board that displays both an initial letter and a length gives you a much narrower search space than one that displays only lengths. The toughest chapter puzzles can reveal neither, requiring you to infer word boundaries entirely from the 16-letter pool.

Academy
Academy removes hints and adapts its challenge around completion times and guess counts, according to Ganko’s description. Because it is hint-free, the candidate-and-remainder check matters more than searching for a supplied starting letter. Treat a low guess count as a discipline goal, not as proof that a particular solving order is mandatory.
Player-created challenges
Creation tools let players build and share their own challenges. A shared custom board can be useful for practicing a particular pattern, but its difficulty depends on the creator’s chosen words and clues rather than on the progression of the official chapters.
Previous guesses remain visible, and a counter flags a repeated guess. That history is practical: it lets you compare an earlier candidate with the letters that remain instead of relying on memory.
What is the best way to approach a difficult board?
When several words look possible, use constraints in a deliberate order rather than guessing rapidly.
Start with the most constrained information
If a length is shown, search for words of that exact length before considering shorter or longer possibilities. If a starting letter is shown, combine it with the length immediately. A clue that fixes both properties can eliminate many attractive but irrelevant anagrams.
Use letter scarcity as a tie-breaker
Mark letters that occur once, have unusual pairings, or cannot easily fit multiple words. A candidate that explains a scarce letter while preserving common letters for the remaining slots is stronger than a familiar word that consumes the board’s only useful consonant.

Check the remainder before entering
Ask three questions: How many words are still needed? What lengths must they have? Does the remainder contain enough letters to satisfy those requirements? This simple subtraction test is the point where vocabulary turns into deduction.
Keep alternatives alive briefly
Do not erase every second-best candidate too early. Hold two or three possibilities until one produces a consistent remainder. Once a branch contradicts a clue or strands a letter, discard that branch and return to the alternatives.

Because repeated guesses are flagged and the game records previous entries, deliberate guesses preserve a useful trail. A rapid sequence of near-synonyms can obscure which assumption caused the contradiction, while one well-checked candidate reveals whether the board’s remainder behaves as expected.
These habits are logical consequences of the published mechanics; Wordeex does not publish a claim that they guarantee a particular completion time or guess count.
How many words and letters are in each puzzle?
Ganko specifies 16 starting letters and three to five hidden words per puzzle. Those figures describe the game’s design, not a study sample or a measure of difficulty. The number of words can change the deduction problem substantially: with three targets, each candidate consumes a larger share of the board; with five, short words and repeated letters become more important.
The developer also reports 27 supported languages and a dictionary of about 3,000 common words per language. Those are developer-reported figures rather than an independently audited word-list count, and language availability can change with an app update. A daily puzzle is shared among players using the same language, so switching languages changes the vocabulary pool and may change which candidates feel familiar.

Is Wordeex free, and what does the iPhone version require?
The current US App Store listing identifies the app as free to install, with advertisements and optional in-app purchases. It requires iOS 16.4 or later on iPhone. The listing mentions coins, hints and an option to remove ads; earned coins can be used for hints outside Academy.
Storefront details are regional and can change, so check the listing before assuming that a purchase, price or ad-removal option is identical in another country. The seller shown on the US listing is Ganko srl. An official Android listing and its device requirements were not established here, so an Android app with a similar name should not be assumed to be the same game.
Ganko’s listing generally says players can continue offline, but it does not provide a dependable mode-by-mode offline matrix. If a daily, shared or user-created challenge matters to you, confirm that mode’s behavior on your device rather than assuming every online feature synchronizes without a connection.
How is Wordeex different from a Wordle-style game?
Wordle-style games ask you to solve a sequence of guesses in a fixed target slot, usually using feedback colors to refine the next attempt. Wordeex instead gives you a finite pool of letters and asks you to partition that pool into several hidden words. A correct target removes its letters, changing the next deduction.
Wordeex should also be distinguished from “WordeX,” a differently spelled guessing game associated with another developer. Similar names do not establish shared rules, ownership or compatibility; use Ganko’s official listing when identifying Wordeex.

Wordeex requires word recognition and constraint reasoning, so those are the skills its mechanics exercise during play. However, no independently verified statistic establishes that the app improves vocabulary, reasoning ability or educational outcomes. Ganko’s phrase “Vocabulary helps. Logic makes the difference.” describes the intended design, not a measured learning result.

What should you do when a board seems impossible?
First, verify the arithmetic: count the letters left and compare that count with the lengths of the words still required. Next, inspect the candidate you entered least confidently and see whether an alternative uses the same letters more productively. Review the visible clue type for that mode, because a chapter may reveal fewer details than an earlier puzzle.
Do not conclude that any dictionary word must be accepted merely because it can be formed. Wordeex’s stated objective is the unique target set, so an apparently valid word can be irrelevant. If the board still appears contradictory after revisiting candidates, check for a repeated guess or a letter-counting error before assuming a software fault.
Where can I get the official Wordeex listing?
The US iPhone listing is available on the App Store. It is the appropriate reference for the current iOS requirement, seller information, language claims, advertising and in-app-purchase disclosures. Availability, prices and features should be rechecked there because storefront information can change.
