The rumors point to smart-home devices; whether Apple will hold a keynote or announce products online remains unknown.
When is Apple’s next event?
Apple’s next reported product launch could take place on October 13, 2026. Macworld reported the date on October 1, attributing it to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman; Apple had not confirmed it. Macworld’s report describes a possible launch, not an official event listing.

Yes. The reporting about October 13 does not establish that Apple will stage a keynote. 9to5Mac notes that the underlying report did not specify whether there would be an event; a product launch could instead arrive through Apple’s website or a press release. 9to5Mac’s coverage likewise treats the announcement format as uncertain.

What might Apple announce?
Reports most often connect the possible launch with smart-home hardware. None of these products or their inclusion on October 13 has been confirmed by Apple.
- A display-equipped smart-home hub: The rumored device is sometimes called “HomePad.” T3 reproduced a September 30 post attributed to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman saying, “Apple will launch its next big thing on October 13, a major new smart home device with a display.” That is Gurman’s reported claim, not an announcement from Apple. T3’s report carries the post.
- A refreshed HomePod mini: An updated version has appeared alongside the hub in reports, but no release date or launch commitment is confirmed. Macworld’s roundup lists it among the possibilities.
- An updated Apple TV 4K: A refresh is also rumored, but Apple has not confirmed a model or said it will launch with the other smart-home devices. 9to5Mac’s report discusses the possibility.
Could Macs or iPads be part of the launch?
Mac and iPad updates have also been rumored for later in 2026. Current reporting does not establish that they will arrive with the possible smart-home launch: they could appear separately, including through a press release, and their timing remains unclear. Macworld and 9to5Mac both distinguish those broader late-year possibilities from the reported smart-home products.
