Usually, but the answer depends on who charged you, where you bought the game, and whether you have downloaded or played the product. As of October 30, 2026, Titan Quest II console pre-orders are available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; the publisher says there is no PC pre-order because the PC game is already playable in Early Access. The announced full release is January 19, 2027, and console editions advertise 96 hours of advance access starting as early as January 15. A console digital pre-order, a playable PC copy, and a physical retailer order follow different rules. Start with the receipt and use the seller’s refund process—not a different platform’s support channel.
What kind of Titan Quest II purchase do you have?
Identify the seller and format before deciding whether a refund is possible. The transaction may be a PS5 digital pre-order, an Xbox digital pre-order, a Steam or Epic Early Access purchase, or a physical order from a retailer. These are not interchangeable: the store or merchant that took payment handles the request, and the rules can depend on region and product use.

THQ Nordic announced PS5 and Xbox Series X|S pre-orders on October 28, 2026. It says PC has no pre-order because the PC version is already available to play in Early Access. Its announcement lists January 19, 2027 as the full release date and advertises console access up to 96 hours earlier. The publisher’s explanation is direct: “Since you can already play the game in Early Access, there is no pre-order on PC.” — THQ Nordic, October 28, 2026. Read the publisher announcement if you need to confirm which product type was advertised.
- Bought digitally on PlayStation: use PlayStation’s cancellation policy and Transaction History.
- Bought digitally through Microsoft/Xbox: use the Microsoft account Order history and Xbox refund route.
- Bought on PC: treat it as an Early Access purchase and follow Steam’s or Epic’s refund rules.
- Bought a physical copy: contact the merchant named on the receipt. A publisher-store policy does not automatically apply to another retailer.
Keep the confirmation email or order number. It helps establish the seller, purchase date, edition, payment status, and—for a physical order—whether fulfillment has progressed.

Can I cancel a PS5 digital pre-order?
Under PlayStation’s U.S. cancellation policy, an eligible pre-order can generally be canceled before release if it was paid for more than 14 days before the main product’s release. If it was paid for within 14 days of release, the usual window is up to 14 days after payment. In either case, downloading or streaming the main product—including preloading—can block an ordinary change-of-mind refund, unless the product is faulty.
Check the purchase date and product status
Use January 19, 2027, the announced full release date, to orient yourself around the policy’s timing branches. The 96-hour console advance-access offer is not a reason to assume that every pre-order cancellation deadline shifts to January 15; PlayStation’s policy is framed around the product’s release and the date you paid. If your purchase falls near a boundary, check the policy and ask PlayStation Support to assess the transaction rather than assuming the advance-access date changes your eligibility.
Before requesting a refund, check whether the main sequel has begun downloading, preloading, or streaming. Automatic downloads may start without another deliberate click, so a buyer who intends to cancel should check the console’s download status promptly. The rule concerns the main pre-ordered product. Do not assume that using an included extra is equivalent to downloading the sequel, or that it has no effect: the final assessment belongs to PlayStation.
Submit the request
- Open your PlayStation account’s Transaction History and locate the Titan Quest II transaction.
- Select Request Refund if that option is available.
- If you cannot submit the request there, contact PlayStation Support and provide the transaction details.
- Explain whether the main product has started downloading, preloading, or streaming, and mention any included content you accessed.
PlayStation’s U.S. PlayStation Store cancellation policy describes the timing and download conditions. It also says that a faulty product is treated differently from an ordinary change-of-mind cancellation. This is a U.S.-specific policy link; buyers elsewhere should check the policy applicable to their account’s country.

Can I get an Xbox refund after being charged?
Microsoft’s guidance says to find the pre-order in the Microsoft account’s Order history and select Cancel. If Microsoft-account funds paid for the digital pre-order, they are taken immediately; another payment method may be charged up to 10 days before release. Microsoft says a pre-release cancellation made after billing is processed as a refund.
Cancel through Order history
- Sign in to the Microsoft account used for the purchase.
- Open Order history and locate the Titan Quest II pre-order.
- Select Cancel if the option appears, then follow the on-screen instructions.
- Check the order’s billing status and keep the confirmation. If Cancel item is missing, use Microsoft’s Xbox refund request route instead of concluding that the transaction cannot be reviewed.
Microsoft’s pre-order guidance says: “If you cancel a pre-order after it’s billed but before it’s released, we’ll process it as a refund.” That guidance explains Microsoft’s process; it does not establish a guaranteed result for every bundle or every use case.

The console Ultimate Edition includes the original Titan Quest and its Ragnarök and Atlantis expansions, which the publisher says can be played immediately after pre-order. The sequel also has the advertised advance-access period. Those details matter because an Ultimate buyer may already have accessed content before the sequel’s full release date. The available official guidance does not settle this specific bundle’s refund eligibility after included games or advance access have been used. Tell Microsoft exactly what was accessed and ask it to assess the purchase; do not promise that an unused-sequel argument guarantees a refund.
Can I refund Titan Quest II Early Access on Steam or Epic?
Steam and Epic purchases are not console-style pre-orders: the PC game is already playable in Early Access. The amount of time played matters, so an unplayed pre-purchase rule should not be applied as if it automatically covers an Early Access copy.

Steam
Steam’s standard refund framework generally uses a purchase within 14 days and less than two hours of play as its usual eligibility limits. For Early Access, time played before the game’s full release counts toward the two-hour limit. Steam says that for a title purchased before release, the 14-day refund period does not begin until the release date; that timing does not erase Early Access playtime. It also accepts refund requests for review outside the stated rules, but a review is not an approval.
- Open Steam Support and select the Titan Quest II purchase.
- Choose the refund request path and state the reason accurately.
- Disclose your actual Early Access playtime; do not treat it as time that can be ignored because the game is not at full release.
Check Steam’s refund policy for the current terms and submit the request through Steam Support. Steam’s review of an exception is discretionary, so a request outside its standard conditions should not be described as an entitlement.
Epic Games Store
Epic generally requires a PC product to be designated refundable, a refund request within 14 days of purchase, and less than two hours of runtime. Check the specific transaction’s designation and recorded runtime rather than assuming that all Epic products have the same status.
- Open your Epic account’s Transactions page and select the Titan Quest II purchase.
- Choose Request refund if the option is shown.
- If the item is marked refundable but self-service is unavailable, contact Epic Player Support.
- Include accurate purchase and runtime details in the request.
Epic’s refund policy explains its general rules. Its treatment of an unplayed pre-purchase is not a blanket exception for a product that is already playable in Early Access.

How do I cancel a physical Collector’s Edition or retailer order?
Request cancellation from the merchant that accepted the order, using that merchant’s order page, contact details, and policy. A physical copy’s cancellation and return rights can depend on the seller, delivery stage, and country; the THQ Nordic Store EU rules should not be transferred to another retailer.
For a THQ Nordic Store EU order
The EU store says a pre-order for a product that will be released later can be canceled by contacting the store with the buyer’s full name and order number. Once preparation for shipping has begun, separate withdrawal rules apply. For EU residents, the store describes a 14-day withdrawal period after receipt. It says that outside the EU it accepts returns only for defective goods. Those are the store’s published terms; they are not a general rule for every physical retailer.
- Find the order confirmation and record the full name and order number associated with it.
- Contact the THQ Nordic Store EU through its contact form or email and request cancellation.
- If the order is already being prepared for shipment or has arrived, check the store’s withdrawal terms for that stage and your country.
See the store’s right-of-withdrawal information. If the receipt names another seller, use that seller’s own cancellation and returns information instead.
Know what the edition includes before you cancel
THQ Nordic lists a physical Collector’s Edition for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X at $149.99, €149.99, or £129.99. Its listed contents are the game, a Nemesis statue, Greek Warrior banner, 62-page hardcover artbook, soundtrack CD, collector’s box, and digital companion. The publisher also advertises a steelbook for the first 1,500 qualifying orders through its store; eligibility and remaining stock should be confirmed at checkout. A separately listed steelbook is an empty case and does not include the game. These are publisher-described product details, not proof that a particular retailer has stock or follows the publisher store’s cancellation terms.

A concise request should make it easy for the seller to identify the transaction and evaluate the relevant policy condition. Give facts rather than assuming that the full-release date, a charge, or an unused portion of a bundle settles the question.

- The edition and platform, plus the date you ordered and whether you were charged.
- For PlayStation, whether the main product has begun downloading, preloading, or streaming.
- For Steam or Epic, the actual Early Access runtime and, for Epic, the item’s refund designation if visible.
- For an Ultimate bundle, whether you accessed the original game, its expansions, or the sequel’s advance access.
- For a physical copy, whether the seller is preparing shipment or the item has been delivered.
Keep the request and any response. If self-service cancellation is unavailable, ask the correct seller to review the transaction; an absent button is not the same thing as a documented decision on eligibility.

What are the biggest mistakes to avoid?
Most avoidable problems come from applying the right-sounding rule to the wrong seller, product type, or stage of use.
- Do not ask the wrong company. Use the PlayStation, Microsoft, Steam, Epic, or physical retailer channel that handled the payment.
- Do not call the PC copy a pre-order. THQ Nordic describes PC as an Early Access purchase because it is already playable.
- Do not assume preloading is harmless. PlayStation’s U.S. policy expressly includes downloading or streaming the main product in its restriction on ordinary refunds.
- Do not treat a charge as automatic disqualification on Xbox. Microsoft describes a pre-release cancellation after billing as a refund, though specific bundle-use outcomes are not established by that general statement.
- Do not assume all included content is treated identically. The sequel, advance access, and older games bundled with Ultimate are distinct content; disclose what you accessed and let the platform decide.
- Do not borrow one retailer’s physical-order rules for another. Merchant, geography, and shipping stage can change the process.
Use the policy attached to your purchase and the facts on your receipt. A storefront’s general rule can explain the request route, but it cannot guarantee the result for an individual transaction whose timing, region, or use differs.

Does the Titan Quest II Ultimate Edition include games I can play before the sequel releases?
Yes. THQ Nordic says the console Ultimate Edition includes the original Titan Quest and its Ragnarök and Atlantis expansions, playable immediately after pre-order. The publisher’s announcement also lists a Cosmic Turtle Companion for both console editions.
Does the Titan Quest II steelbook come with the game?
The separately listed steelbook is explicitly an empty case and does not include the game. The publisher describes a different steelbook offer for the first 1,500 qualifying orders through its store, so check the particular listing rather than assuming the empty case is a game bundle.
