Yes. The Wolf Among Us Remastered includes all five original episodes—Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing and Cry Wolf—in one purchase. You do not need to buy the old season pass or episode add-ons separately. It also includes five playable deleted scenes, an artwork gallery, developer interviews and optional Noir Mode. IGN’s 2026 review describes the five episodes as roughly two hours each and emphasizes that they are delivered together rather than sold chapter by chapter. The remaster does not add a new main-story episode: its plot, dialogue and decisions remain the 2013–14 season.
Do I have to buy the original season pass again?
No. The remaster is a new store product, but its base purchase already contains the content that the original season pass unlocked. You are buying the complete season once, not Episode 1 with a later upsell.

The old release was episodic. Its rollout ran from October 2013 to July 2014, with waits of weeks or months between chapters. Store packaging differed by platform:
- Steam and PC: the original product was sold as a full-season purchase. Telltale community moderators told buyers in October 2013 that a Steam purchase functioned as the season pass and contained all five episodes.
- Xbox 360 and iOS: Faith could be purchased separately, while a season-pass or multi-pack DLC covered the remaining four episodes as they released.
- PlayStation 3: players could buy episodes individually or purchase a full-season option; contemporary community information described the PlayStation season pass as covering all five.
That episode-by-episode structure is why older listings can make the game look as if it has missing DLC. In the remaster, those later chapters are part of the base game. No source documents a separate original story expansion beyond the five-episode season.
Are the deleted scenes separate DLC?
No. The remaster includes five fully playable Deleted Scenes as built-in special features. Telltale says they were restored from material cut from the original episodes and are accessible from the extras area rather than sold as downloadable story content.
GamingBolt’s PlayStation 5 review specifically notes five playable scenes, including an alternate take on the Anderson Street cover-up. They sit outside the main campaign, so they do not create an Episode 6 or change the season’s official sequence.

The extras package also includes:

- Optional Noir Mode, a full black-and-white presentation that can be switched on or off at any time. It changes the visual treatment only; it does not alter dialogue, choices or plot.
- Developer commentary, concept art, restored content and archival material, identified in the feature listing reported by Gematsu.
These are included features, not a season pass, premium bonus pack or recurring content service.
Does the remaster add new episodes or include The Wolf Among Us 2?
It does neither. The Wolf Among Us Remastered is a rebuilt presentation of the original five-episode story, while The Wolf Among Us 2 is a separate 2027 sequel.
Telltale and PM Studios have confirmed that defining choices made in the remaster can carry into the sequel for players using a signed-in Telltale Account. That continuity feature does not make the sequel part of the remaster purchase. Telltale has also not confirmed that saves or choices from the 2013 release can be imported into the remaster, so treat the remaster as a fresh playthrough.
Matt Saia, Telltale’s game director and vice president of creative, said, “We avoided touching the story, the directorial choices, and the overall art style, those are sacred to us.” The visual work is a rebuild rather than a simple resolution increase: models are rebuilt, scenes are relit, audio is remastered and the interface is modernized, while the story remains intact.

What does the remaster cost, and where can I buy it?
The digital list price is $24.99 USD, according to Telltale and PM Studios in 2026. Availability and promotional terms below were checked in October 2026.

The launch-discount window runs from 29 October through 12 November 2026. The qualifying-owner offer applies to digital owners of the original on the same store and account; physical copies cannot be verified for that promotion. Discounts cannot be combined. The original game remained listed on Steam at $14.99 during launch week, but buying it solely to chase the owner discount costs more than taking the 20% new-player remaster offer in that same period.

A free Episode 1 demo was available on Steam through 26 October 2026, before launch. That demo is not evidence of a separate paid episode structure in the remaster.
How does the remaster compare with the original game?
Both versions tell the same five-episode story. The practical differences are packaging, presentation, extras, current-platform support and the planned sequel handoff.

IGN awarded the remaster 8/10 (“Great”) in a PC review posted 27 October 2026, calling it a fresh coat of paint with behind-the-scenes extras while still criticizing stiff animations. GamingBolt’s 28 October PlayStation 5 review called it the definitive option for newcomers and characterized the extras as a celebration rather than a new adventure. Those are published review judgments, not independent performance measurements.

No. The game is designed to stand on its own. It is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of DC and is based on Bill Willingham’s Fables, with Bigby Wolf serving as Fabletown’s sheriff.
The game is a non-canon prequel set roughly 20 years before the comics. If you want the source material, Fables Vol. 1: Legends in Exile is the first trade collection and introduces Fabletown and Bigby. A public dispute involving Willingham and DC in 2023 concerns the comics’ rights and does not prevent the remaster from being sold as this licensed game.
What should I buy if I only want the complete story?
Choose the remaster if you want the current presentation, all five chapters in one SKU and the restored extras. You do not need to budget for a season pass, deleted-scene pack or Episode 6. The original remains relevant mainly if you specifically want its older build, a legacy platform version or the lower Steam list price; the sequel is not a substitute for either edition because it is a separate future story.

Telltale’s launch message captures the intended scope: “Telltale and PM Studios … All five original episodes … are included, delivering the complete mystery in one definitive experience.” The company has not announced paid remaster DLC at launch, but that is a statement about the 29 October 2026 release, not a promise that no future store item can ever appear.
