Short answer: Tetr advertises scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition, while Hult does not publish a standard award percentage or dollar amount. Tetr’s 2026 undergraduate fee schedule lists $121,100 in four-year tuition; a full-tuition award at that ceiling would remove $121,100, but $69,800 in other listed academic and administration fees and an estimated $41,900 in living expenses would still remain. Hult’s 2027–2028 undergraduate total program fees are GBP42,590 in London, USD65,590 in Boston, and AED157,800 in Dubai, with living expenses listed separately. Hult’s October 2025 policy caps combined institutional merit scholarships at 100% of tuition, but your actual amount appears in your offer. You therefore cannot identify the cheaper school from the headline scholarship claims alone: compare each written award with the charges it excludes, then add living costs.
How much can a Tetr scholarship actually save?
Tetr’s public admissions language sets a maximum, not a typical award: “Scholarships can cover up to 100% of the tuition fee.” The useful comparison is therefore between tuition and every other charge on the published fee schedule.

| Tetr undergraduate item | Published amount | What a full-tuition award changes |
|---|---|---|
| Four-year tuition | $121,100 | Could be reduced by as much as $121,100 if the student receives the maximum full-tuition award |
| Four-year total listed fees | $190,900 | Includes tuition plus other listed academic and administration charges; those non-tuition charges are not removed by a tuition-only award unless the written offer says so |
| Other listed fees (arithmetic difference) | $69,800 | Remain before living costs when only tuition is covered |
| Estimated four-year living expenses | $41,900 | Separate from tuition and listed fees; the published scholarship wording does not say these costs are covered |
The $69,800 figure is the arithmetic difference between the published $190,900 total listed fees and $121,100 tuition. Adding the $41,900 living estimate produces $111,700 in costs outside tuition. That is an arithmetic planning figure, not a separate Tetr invoice, and living expenses can vary by location, travel, lifestyle and year.
With no tuition scholarship, the published four-year academic and administration figures total $190,900, before the $41,900 living estimate. With a full tuition award and no other grant, the same schedule implies $69,800 in listed non-tuition fees plus the estimated living budget. Your award letter controls whether any of those charges are waived.

What “up to 100%” does—and does not—tell you
- It identifies the highest advertised tuition coverage, not the probability of receiving it.
- It does not establish a universal percentage for an applicant with a particular grade point average, test score, country or income.
- It does not, by itself, cover administration charges, academic fees, travel, housing, food, books or personal spending.
- It does not state the renewal conditions or exclusions for a particular recipient on the cited public page.
Ask for the award in writing with a line-by-line list of covered charges. A verbal “full scholarship” description can mean full tuition rather than a full cost-of-attendance package.
Which Tetr scholarship routes could apply to me?
Tetr names separate routes for different applicant profiles. Eligibility is profile-based, so the route name is a screening clue rather than a guaranteed award.

Undergraduate routes
- Outliers: for applicants presented as unusually distinctive or high-impact.
- Community Leaders: for demonstrated leadership and community contribution.
- Entrepreneur & Innovation: for entrepreneurial work, ideas or innovation.
- SAT/ACT Merit: for strong standardized-test performance; the published description refers to top-percentile testing.
- Pathfinders: for applicants whose record fits the pathway’s stated profile.
- Transfer Students: for students entering with prior college credit.
- Aspire: for applicants whose circumstances and profile meet the program’s criteria.
- Merit Excellence: for exceptional academic or overall merit.
Because the public material describes these as profile-based routes, prepare evidence that matches the relevant category: score reports, leadership results, an entrepreneurial portfolio, proof of community impact, transfer transcripts or financial documents. The category itself does not reveal the eventual percentage.
Postgraduate routes
- Entrepreneurial Impact: for professional or venture impact.
- Business Legacy: for applicants with a significant business background or legacy.
- Global Professionals: for experienced professionals with international or business achievements.
- Academic Distinction & GMAT/GRE: for strong academic records and, where applicable, GMAT or GRE performance.
- Women in Global Leadership: for women demonstrating leadership potential or achievement.
- Aspire Grant: a need-based route for applicants who can document financial hardship.
Do not assume an undergraduate route transfers to a postgraduate application. Ask which award family applies to your program, whether a test score is required, and whether the amount is renewable each academic year.
How much can a Hult scholarship actually save?
Hult publishes campus-specific total program fees for the 2027–2028 undergraduate intake, but its public scholarship pages do not give a standard percentage or dollar award that predicts an individual result.
Rank #2
| Hult undergraduate campus | 2027–2028 total program fees | Living expenses |
|---|---|---|
| London | GBP42,590 | Estimated separately by Hult |
| Boston | USD65,590 | Estimated separately by Hult |
| Dubai | AED157,800 | Estimated separately by Hult |
These are not directly interchangeable amounts: they are in three currencies and apply to different campus locations. Convert them using a dated exchange rate, then add the campus-specific living estimate supplied with your offer. Do not treat the London, Boston and Dubai numbers as one global price.
What Hult’s 100% ceiling means
Hult’s October 2025 scholarship policy states: “Institutional merit-based scholarships at Hult cannot be combined to exceed 100% of tuition.” That is a ceiling on combined institutional merit aid, not a promise that every recipient receives full tuition. The policy also says need-based aid is decided case by case.
Merit awards are considered separately, but stacking them cannot produce more than the tuition amount through institutional merit scholarships. Your written offer should identify the award amount, the tuition base used to calculate it, its duration and any conditions. A need-based decision may be made independently, so ask whether it changes the amount you must pay after merit aid.
What is the real difference between Tetr and Hult scholarship savings?
Tetr gives a public maximum tied to tuition and publishes a four-year undergraduate fee schedule. Hult publishes campus prices and a policy ceiling for combined institutional merit aid, but not an applicant-independent award figure. The two claims answer different questions.
| Comparison point | Tetr | Hult |
|---|---|---|
| Public scholarship ceiling | Up to 100% of tuition | Combined institutional merit scholarships cannot exceed 100% of tuition |
| Published undergraduate tuition or program figure | $121,100 tuition over four years (2026 fee page) | 2027–2028 total program fees: GBP42,590 London; USD65,590 Boston; AED157,800 Dubai |
| Other published cost information | $190,900 four-year total listed fees and $41,900 estimated four-year living expenses | Living expenses estimated separately; the cited public page does not give a universal figure |
| Standard award amount published? | No applicant-independent amount; only the maximum is advertised | No standard percentage or dollar amount; the offer determines the award |
| Need-based aid described? | Aspire Grant is identified as need-based for postgraduate applicants | Need-based undergraduate aid is described and decided case by case |
| Program levels named in the scholarship material | Undergraduate and postgraduate routes | Undergraduate aid and MBA awards |
The table does not establish that one school is cheaper. A lower net bill depends on your program, campus, intake year, currency, award amount, excluded fees and living budget.

How do I calculate my net cost after scholarships?
Use the same sequence for both schools. This prevents a tuition headline from being mistaken for a full-cost award.
- Match the academic product. Compare undergraduate with undergraduate or postgraduate with postgraduate. Align intake year, study mode, duration and campus.
- Write down the full published price. Separate tuition from total program fees, administration charges, immersions, housing, food, books, travel and personal expenses. If a charge is bundled, ask for the component breakdown.
- Record the exact award. Use the amount and currency in the written offer, not “up to” language from a marketing page.
- Identify the coverage base. Confirm whether the percentage applies only to tuition or also to mandatory fees, deposits, housing or other program charges.
- Check renewal rules. Ask about minimum grades, credit loads, attendance, conduct, progression, application deadlines and whether the award can be reduced after a change of program.
- Subtract aid from the covered charge. A tuition award is calculated as: tuition minus tuition scholarship equals remaining tuition. Keep non-covered fees in a separate line.
- Add living costs. Use the school’s estimate for the relevant campus and year, then include travel and personal costs that the estimate may not capture.
- Convert currencies consistently. Use one dated exchange-rate assumption for all scenarios and show the original currency beside the converted value.
- Compare the final payable amount. Include deposits, installment timing and any one-time charges before deciding which offer saves more cash.
For Tetr, a maximum tuition award can be modeled with the published figures: $121,100 less $121,100 leaves $0 tuition, while $69,800 in other listed fees and the $41,900 living estimate remain unless the offer expands coverage. For Hult, perform the same subtraction only after the offer states the award amount; the public fee page alone cannot supply that number.
Which applicant profile should ask about which award?
Start with the evidence you can document, then ask admissions to map it to the correct route.
If your strongest evidence is testing or grades
Tetr’s SAT/ACT Merit and Academic Distinction & GMAT/GRE routes are the clearest named options. Preserve official score reports and academic records, and ask whether the score must be from a particular test date or percentile band. Hult’s merit process is not reduced to a public score-to-dollar chart, so submit the complete academic profile requested in its application.

Tetr names Community Leaders, Entrepreneur & Innovation, Outliers, Entrepreneurial Impact and Global Professionals among its routes. Build a concise record of what you did, the people reached, measurable results and your role. Hult also names Social Impact, Entrepreneurial Impact and Senior Leaders scholarships for MBA applicants; ask which award is relevant to your program rather than assuming an undergraduate label applies.

If financial need is the main issue
Tetr identifies the Aspire Grant as a need-based postgraduate option. Hult says need-based aid is decided case by case. Prepare documents that show household income, assets, required support and unusual costs, and ask whether need-based aid can be reviewed alongside merit aid.
If you are transferring
Tetr explicitly lists a Transfer Students route. Provide transcripts, course descriptions and a written estimate of credits that will transfer, because the number of remaining terms affects both tuition and living costs. Request the scholarship amount and renewal schedule for the shortened or extended study plan.

Tetr’s cited public page does not publish award-specific renewal and exclusion rules, so the written Tetr offer is essential. Hult’s policy and written offer govern the final amount and combination rules; the public campus fee figures do not replace those documents.
What are the biggest mistakes when comparing the two schools?
- Comparing a ceiling with an actual award: “Up to 100%” is not evidence that your application will receive 100%.
- Using tuition as total cost: Tetr’s published figures show why non-tuition fees can remain substantial after tuition is waived.
- Mixing years: Tetr’s cited schedule is a 2026 fee page, while Hult’s figures are for 2027–2028. Inflation, fee revisions and exchange rates can change the result.
- Mixing currencies without a date: GBP, USD and AED values need a common exchange-rate assumption.
- Ignoring program level: Undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA awards have different names and eligibility rules.
- Assuming awards stack indefinitely: Hult’s policy expressly limits combined institutional merit aid to tuition.
- Budgeting only for the first year: A scholarship that is not renewable can leave a large later-year gap.
- Relying on a conversation: Ask for a formal offer that states covered charges and renewal conditions.
So which school offers the bigger saving?
Tetr offers the larger publicly stated possible tuition reduction because it explicitly advertises coverage of up to 100% and publishes $121,100 in four-year undergraduate tuition. That does not prove a typical student will receive a full award, nor does it eliminate the $69,800 in other listed fees or the estimated $41,900 in living costs.
Best Value
Hult’s public information supports a different conclusion: campus fees are clearly stated for 2027–2028, institutional merit aid has a 100% tuition ceiling when combined, and need-based aid is case by case, but no universal award amount is published. The financially stronger offer is whichever written package produces the lower net payable cost after covered tuition, excluded fees, renewal conditions, currency conversion and living expenses are all included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Tetr’s living expenses part of the tuition scholarship?
The published wording limits the advertised maximum to tuition. Treat the $41,900 four-year living estimate as a separate budgeting line unless your individual award letter explicitly includes housing or living support.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteCan Hult’s merit scholarships produce a refund above tuition?
Hult’s October 2025 policy prevents combined institutional merit scholarships from exceeding tuition. Any separate treatment of need-based aid, fees or refunds must be confirmed in the written offer.
Why do the Tetr and Hult figures use different academic years?
The cited Tetr schedule is from 2026, while Hult’s campus figures cover 2027–2028. Use the intake year on your offer and ask whether fees will be fixed or revised in later years.
What evidence strengthens a scholarship application?
Match documents to the route: official test scores and transcripts for academic awards, quantified leadership or venture results for impact awards, transfer records for transfer aid, and financial documentation for need-based consideration.
