FORSAKEN is No Man’s Sky update 7.10, not a separately announced expedition. As of October 30, 2026, Hello Games’ FORSAKEN announcement and update notes do not describe a FORSAKEN-named expedition or an event-registration screen. To start an expedition that is currently offered, open the Space Anomaly and use its Expedition Terminus on an existing save, or choose the fresh expedition-save option from the main menu. To play FORSAKEN, update the game and pursue its mementos, traders, derelict-freighter sites and other 7.10 activities in the supported game.
The latest numbered expedition identified in the reviewed official announcements is Expedition Twenty-Three: Our Journey Continues, announced on September 16, 2026 for an estimated run of approximately six weeks. That estimate is not an exact closing date, so check the expedition list in your game before planning around it.

No. The official material reviewed through October 30, 2026 identifies FORSAKEN as update 7.10, released October 28, and does not announce a distinct FORSAKEN expedition. There is therefore no verified “Join FORSAKEN” enrollment flow to follow.
This distinction matters because an expedition is a separate, milestone-based scenario that appears only when Hello Games makes one available. FORSAKEN is a set of gameplay systems and content added by the update. You can play those systems without signing up for a FORSAKEN expedition, and an available expedition would remain a separate choice.

How do I start an expedition on an existing save?
Use the Space Anomaly’s Expedition Terminus. The Terminus is the supported route for taking an existing primary save into an expedition that is currently listed in-game.
- Install the current game update. Launch the platform version you normally use and let it finish updating. Expedition availability and bug fixes can change with a patch.
- Enter the Space Anomaly. The expedition terminal is aboard the Anomaly; it is not a FORSAKEN event portal or a separate website.
- Open the Expedition Terminus. Interact with it and review the expedition name and availability shown by the game. If no expedition is listed, there is nothing to enroll in from that screen.
- Stage useful equipment if the interface offers the option. Hello Games says you can place selected items and packaged equipment in the Terminus before departure. Treat this as preparation for the expedition, not as a way to convert FORSAKEN mementos into expedition rewards.
- Confirm departure. The game creates the expedition session from your primary save and starts the expedition’s own objectives.
- Use the Expedition Page after loading in. Pin a milestone for on-screen guidance, complete milestones, and then finish the phases they belong to. Claim each applicable phase reward and the final expedition rewards through the expedition interface.
- Return to the Anomaly when the game allows it. Hello Games says staged items can be retrieved after reaching the Anomaly during the expedition. You can switch between the expedition and your primary save through the terminal or the main menu.
Where is the Expedition Terminus?
It is located aboard the Space Anomaly. Look for the object labeled “Expedition Terminus” rather than a FORSAKEN-branded station. The exact expedition shown there depends on what Hello Games has made available at that time.

Yes. The Terminus route is specifically for an existing save, and the expedition and primary save can be switched through the terminal or main menu. Starting an expedition does not require deleting or replacing your ordinary save.
How do I begin an expedition from a fresh save?
When an expedition is offered, the main menu provides a fresh expedition-save route. This is an alternative to using the Terminus, not a requirement for everyone.
- Start a new game from the main menu. Choose the expedition option when it appears instead of selecting a standard mode.
- Create the expedition save. This route starts you directly in the expedition scenario, without first loading an established primary save.
- Read the Expedition Page before travelling. It lists the milestones and phases that define the run. Pin the next useful milestone rather than wandering without an objective.
- Complete milestones in a practical order. Claim milestone and phase rewards as they become available; the expedition page is the authoritative checklist for that run.
- Use the Anomaly and save-management options when available. Hello Games says a fresh expedition save may later become a Normal Mode save. The conversion is a property of the expedition-save system, not evidence that FORSAKEN is an expedition.
Which starting route should I use?
Choose the Terminus if you want to preserve an established save and bring staged provisions. Choose the fresh route if you want the expedition’s opening conditions without preparing a primary save first.

How do expedition milestones and rewards work?
An expedition is structured around milestones grouped into phases. The Expedition Page tells you what counts, and pinning a milestone turns it into an active navigation and task reference.
Use the Expedition Page as your checklist
Open the page, choose a milestone that matches your current equipment or destination, and pin it. Complete the requirement, collect its reward, and then continue through the phase. This avoids confusing a general 7.10 activity with an expedition objective.
Claim phase and final rewards
Milestone completion feeds phase completion. Claim phase rewards when the game marks them available, then claim the expedition’s final reward when all required phases are done. For Our Journey Continues, Hello Games says earned exclusive phase rewards can be redeemed across saves at the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion aboard the Space Anomaly.
The announcement for Our Journey Continues mentions nine framed artworks among its rewards. Those are rewards for that expedition and should not be described as FORSAKEN trader rewards.
How do I play FORSAKEN if there is no FORSAKEN expedition?
Run No Man’s Sky with update 7.10 installed and pursue the update’s activities in ordinary gameplay. There is no separate signup step in the official material reviewed.
Search for haunting mementos
FORSAKEN adds haunting mementos to several exploration locations. Search infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters and planetary digsites. These locations are the update’s scavenging targets; they are not expedition phases.

Watch for boundary horrors
Hostile boundary horrors can appear during FORSAKEN activities. Treat them as an update hazard while exploring rather than as a signal that an expedition has started.
Find forsaken traders at space outposts
Forsaken traders can be summoned at space outposts. Trade collected mementos for biomechanical corvette parts and other update-related rewards. The trader loop is a 7.10 gameplay system, not a limited-time expedition reward track.

Acquire the Larva Cannon and cosmetics
A preserved-grub offering can acquire the Larva Cannon Multi-Tool. The Larva Tank helmet and Mind Harvester title are also associated with the scavenging activity. These names refer to in-game content; they are not physical products and should not be confused with expedition phase rewards.
What else does update 7.10 add?
FORSAKEN is broader than its memento hunt. Hello Games’ notes describe the following additions:
- Biomechanical corvette modules, plus new cockpit and interior choices.
- The Larva Cannon Multi-Tool and Larva Tank appearance.
- Space-courier missions. The patch notes say these contracts require a corvette and a Gravitino Coil.
- A minimal HUD option.
- Radial Multi-Tool weapon selection.
- Direct warping to nearby stars from space. Hello Games states: “Stars from nearby star systems can now be directly targeted and warped to from space, without opening the Galaxy Map.”
None of these features proves that a FORSAKEN-named expedition exists. They remain available as update content according to the platform version and deployment state you are running.
How are an expedition and FORSAKEN different?
Use the expedition when you want a staged, milestone-driven challenge. Use FORSAKEN when you want the update’s exploration, combat, trading and ship-customization content.

Is Expedition Twenty-Three: Our Journey Continues still available?
Hello Games announced Our Journey Continues on September 16, 2026 and described its original duration as approximately six weeks. That wording is an estimate, not a verified closing timestamp, so do not assume it is active or closed from the calendar alone.
Open the in-game expedition selection and check whether it is listed. Also check current Hello Games news before starting a long run: an expedition can close, be replaced or be newly announced after the dates covered here.
Which platforms received FORSAKEN?
Hello Games’ release log names PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass and iOS for the FORSAKEN release. Platform availability can still depend on the update reaching your storefront or device.
The October 28 announcement says eligible iPhone 11-and-newer models and third-generation iPad Air-and-newer models can try the beginning of the iOS game free. That is a limited game trial, not a free FORSAKEN expedition.

What changed with patch 7.11?
Hello Games described patch 7.11 as live on Steam on October 29, 2026, with other platforms to follow. The hotfix addresses crashes involving the Anomaly teleporter and warping.
If either action crashes on your platform, install 7.11 when it is offered there and restart the game. Do not assume that a Steam rollout means the fix has already reached every console, Switch or iOS version.

What should I do if the expedition option is missing?
- Check the correct screen. Existing saves use the Space Anomaly’s Expedition Terminus; a fresh run uses the main-menu expedition option.
- Confirm availability in-game. If the Terminus and main menu show no expedition, the reviewed official sources provide no separate FORSAKEN signup workaround.
- Update your platform. Expedition listings and fixes can depend on the version installed. Patch 7.11 was not confirmed as deployed everywhere at the October 29 announcement.
- Do not mistake update content for enrollment. A forsaken trader, memento location or boundary horror starts a 7.10 activity, not an expedition session.
- Protect your save choices. Use the existing-save route if preserving your primary save matters; use a fresh expedition save when you want the expedition’s starting conditions.
Do I need to buy a separate FORSAKEN event?
No separate FORSAKEN event purchase or registration was announced. A player who does not own the base game needs a supported copy of No Man’s Sky; Hello Games’ buying page includes PS5 and physical selections, but no stock, SKU or price is established here.

This guide treats an expedition as real only when it appears in the game’s expedition selection or is announced by Hello Games. It treats FORSAKEN as the 7.10 update described in the October 28 release material. That approach prevents the common error of sending players to look for a FORSAKEN registration screen that the official sources do not document.
