What is the difference between a party limit and a race-field limit?
A party is the group you bring together online; a race field is everyone placed into a particular event. Those numbers can be different. A party can contain up to six players while the event itself may have more competitors, depending on the vehicle type and how open slots are populated.

Podracer events: up to 8 vehicles
Podracer events have a lower published field maximum of 8. A full six-player party can make up most of that grid, but two positions may still be available for other participants or computer-controlled racers where the mode permits them.

“Up to” is important. A mode can start with fewer competitors, and the final roster can depend on matchmaking availability, event rules and whether AI fills vacant positions. The six-player party figure tells you how many people you can organize together; it does not guarantee a 12-speeder or 8-podracer start every time.
Does Star Wars: Galactic Racer have split-screen?
No. Star Wars: Galactic Racer does not support local split-screen multiplayer. There is no simultaneous couch-racing player count to report for one console or PC screen.

What happens if the game still shows a three-player limit?
A three-player display usually indicates that the installation has not received the relevant update, the update has not completed, or an older guide is being used as the reference. Confirm that the game is running the current build dated after October 22, 2026, then re-enter the online party screen.

- Restart the game after the update finishes so the new party rules load.
