To enter a Splatoon 3 Salmon Run tournament, open Tournament Manager in SplatNet 3 through the Nintendo Switch App, open the organizer’s tournament overview, choose an available division, and finish your roster before its deadline. You can reach an event through Tournament Manager search or an organizer’s invitation link. For a concrete near-term option, Nintendo’s Golden Egg Feast 2026 runs November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon Pacific Time; registration closes at 9:30 a.m. PT that morning. The event accepts solo entries as well as pairs, trios, and four-player teams, but its eligibility rules are limited to residents of the United States (including Washington, D.C.), Canada, and Mexico who are physically in those territories while playing.
What do you need before joining a Salmon Run tournament?
Have the game, hardware, online service, Nintendo account, and companion app ready before you open registration. The exact requirements can vary by organizer, so treat this as the baseline for Nintendo’s announced event rather than a universal rule.

- A qualifying Nintendo Switch system running Splatoon 3.
- A Nintendo Account connected to the player who will enter.
- Reliable internet access.
- The Nintendo Switch App, with SplatNet 3 available inside it.
- A Nintendo Switch Online membership. The Golden Egg Feast rules allow a qualifying trial membership; another organizer may require a paid membership or set a different condition.
- Residence and age eligibility for the particular event. Golden Egg Feast is for eligible residents of the United States (including D.C.), Canada, or Mexico who are physically in one of those territories during participation. The minimum age is 13 in the United States and Canada and 18 in Mexico.
Do not assume that a tournament is open worldwide because its registration page is visible. Read the event’s rules for territory, age, account, and location restrictions before assembling a team.
How do I find a Salmon Run tournament?
Use Nintendo’s event announcements and Tournament Manager first, then verify any community listing against its current registration page. A past event page can show you where organizers advertise competitions, but it does not prove that entries are still open.

Search Tournament Manager
An organizer can choose whether a tournament appears in Tournament Manager search results. Events with a combined participant cap of eight or fewer cannot select the searchable-display option, so an event missing from search may still be active through an invitation. Ask the organizer for the overview URL or invitation link instead of treating a blank search as proof that no event exists. Nintendo explains the organizer settings at its Salmon Run tournament organizer guide.
Follow an official announcement
Nintendo’s announcement for Golden Egg Feast 2026 is a current example of a tournament announcement that leads to formal rules and registration. Check the event date and cutoff every time; the 2026 dates are not evidence of an annual recurring booking.

Check community organizers carefully
Community organizers may post on an event site, social channel, or a registration service and then provide a Tournament Manager overview. Confirm that the Salmon Run portion is accepting entries, that the stated region includes you, and that the listed event has not already ended. For example, the SeaBATTLE! Royale organizer advertised a Salmon Run tournament with a start.gg registration page for April 4, 2026; that event has passed and should be treated only as an example of a discovery route, not as an upcoming option. There is no independently verified, comprehensive calendar of currently open community Salmon Run tournaments.
How do I register through Tournament Manager?
Registration happens in SplatNet 3 on the Nintendo Switch App, not merely by playing a public Salmon Run shift. Follow the event’s overview and roster instructions in order.
- Open the event overview. Use the organizer’s URL or locate the event in Tournament Manager. Read the displayed local start time, registration cutoff, region, divisions, scoring method, allowed shifts, schedule, and organizer rules before selecting anything.
- Select “Enter Tournament.” Choose one of the divisions the organizer offers. Depending on the event, that may include Solo, Pair, Trio, or Team.
- Create or choose a team. You can create a team name or select an existing team. The person completing this step becomes the team captain for that entry.
- Invite the other entrants. Send the team invitation link or a direct invitation when the selected division needs more players. Each recipient must open the invitation and select Join.
- Complete the required roster before the cutoff. A division’s roster must satisfy its entry requirement by the registration deadline. Nintendo warns that an incomplete team is disqualified, so do not wait for the tournament start time to solve missing-player problems.
- Save the event details. Record the start time in your own time zone, the check-in or room instructions, the permitted shifts, and any organizer-specific rules. A displayed local time is more reliable than converting a headline time yourself.
An organizer can use a different naming convention or add check-in instructions, but the Tournament Manager entry, invitation, and Join flow are the critical Nintendo steps. The participant instructions are documented at Nintendo’s Salmon Run participant help page.
Where do I play once I have entered?
At the scheduled start, enter the tournament’s dedicated room from the in-game Friends menu in the Grizzco lobby. Complete the competition shifts there, then use Tournament Manager to check rankings and results.

- Open the Friends menu.
- Select the Tournament Manager room associated with your registered event.
- Play the shifts allowed by that tournament’s format.

Do not substitute the general Private Battle lobby instructions found in other tournament help pages. Private Battle procedures describe a different tournament mode; Salmon Run entrants use the Tournament Manager room reached from Friends in the Grizzco lobby. If the format includes preliminaries and finals, follow the interval shown in the event schedule rather than assuming every competition has a break or a final round.
Can I enter alone, or do I need four players?
You do not always need a full four-player group. Golden Egg Feast 2026 offers four divisions—Solo, Pair, Trio, and Team—and Tournament Manager fills shifts for smaller entries with other players.
Solo
Enter as one player when the event offers the Solo division. The system can supply the remaining players for shifts under that division’s rules.
Pair and Trio
Enter with one or two people, respectively, and complete the division’s required roster before the cutoff. Tournament Manager can fill the remaining places, but you still remain responsible for meeting the entry requirement shown in the overview.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTeam
A Team entry is the four-player option in Golden Egg Feast. Create or select the team, invite the other players, and verify that every required entrant has selected Join before registration closes.
Other organizers may offer only some of these divisions or may use different roster rules. The event overview, not the name of the division in another tournament, controls what you must submit.

What is Nintendo’s Golden Egg Feast 2026 format?
Golden Egg Feast 2026 is a currently announced, finals-only Salmon Run event scheduled for November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon PT. Registration opened October 26 at 9 a.m. PT and closes November 7 at 9:30 a.m. PT. Recheck Nintendo’s announcement and rules after November 7 if you are reading this later; these dates describe this event, not a recurring annual tournament.
| Item | Golden Egg Feast 2026 rule |
|---|---|
| Event window | November 7, 2026, 10 a.m.–noon PT |
| Registration | Opened October 26 at 9 a.m. PT; closes November 7 at 9:30 a.m. PT |
| Divisions | Solo, Pair, Trio, and Team |
| Format | 120-minute, finals-only Salmon Run competition |
| Scoring headline | Top Score: most Golden Eggs across four shifts plus the most scale points in one shift |
| Eligibility territory | Eligible residents of the United States (including D.C.), Canada, or Mexico, physically in those territories while participating |
| Minimum age | 13 in the United States and Canada; 18 in Mexico |
The event rules say players may complete multiple shifts during the tournament period. They also specify deductions of 30 points for a defeat in wave one, 10 points for a defeat in wave two, and 5 points for a defeat in wave three. Ties are resolved in this order: Golden Eggs, Power Eggs, overall speed, then entry number.
Nintendo has not announced the stage, supplied weapons, or King Salmonid in the material available for this event; those details are to be revealed in Tournament Manager within one week of the competition. Do not plan around a guessed stage or weapon set.
Prizes and what the figures mean
The official rules identify 30 prize-winning players: 10 Grand Prize, 10 First Prize, and 10 Second Prize winners. Nintendo gives the prizes an approximate total retail value of $8,990. That is Nintendo’s estimate for this event’s prizes, not a cash pool, guaranteed payout, market survey, or general measure of Salmon Run tournament value. Nintendo describes the event as “a skill-based competition.” Full event conditions are in the official Golden Egg Feast 2026 rules.
How does Salmon Run Tournament Manager scoring work?
Tournament Manager supports three broad scoring methods, and the director chooses which one applies. Golden Egg Feast’s four-shift Top Score format should not be generalized to every Salmon Run competition.
- Specified-number-of-shifts total: the organizer sets a fixed number of shifts and totals the resulting score.
- All-shifts total: the event counts all shifts played under its stated rules.
- Top Score: the organizer defines a best-score selection, such as the Golden Egg Feast combination of Golden Eggs and scale points.
Tournament Manager supports competitions built around Regular Jobs and Big Runs. Playing a Big Run, Eggstra Work, or an ordinary Salmon Run shift does not automatically register you for a separate tournament. You must enter the listed competition and follow its scoring and room instructions.

One structural rule matters when evaluating a small event: Nintendo says, “Divisions with fewer than two teams entered will be canceled.” Read the organizer’s cancellation and refund language, if any, before committing time or an entry fee.
How should I compare two Salmon Run competitions?
When more than one real option is available, compare the conditions that determine whether you can enter and how you will be ranked, rather than judging by the event name alone.
| Check | What to verify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Region and age | Eligible residence, physical location during play, and minimum age | A visible registration page may still exclude your territory or age group |
| Venue | Online, in-person, or hybrid participation | Travel and hardware requirements can change completely |
| Division | Solo, Pair, Trio, Team, or organizer-specific categories | Determines whether you need teammates and whether fill-in players are used |
| Deadlines | Registration cutoff, roster completion, and any check-in time | Missing a roster deadline can disqualify an otherwise valid entry |
| Scoring | Specified shifts, all shifts, or Top Score; permitted jobs and shifts | Controls what counts toward your result |
| Schedule | Start time, duration, preliminaries, finals, and result timing | Lets you plan availability and understand whether an interval is scheduled |
| Organizer rules | Conduct, communication, tie-breakers, cancellations, and any stated cost | These conditions can differ from Nintendo’s example event |
Open the official overview and rules for each candidate immediately before entering. An old social post, archived bracket, or past registration page is a lead, not confirmation that the competition is accepting players.

Choose Solo, Pair, or Trio when the event offers those divisions, then complete the required entry process. Tournament Manager can fill shifts for smaller entries in Golden Egg Feast, but it does not remove the deadline or the need to accept invitations when your chosen division requires additional entrants.

What should I check on tournament day?
- Confirm that your Nintendo Account, Nintendo Switch App, and Nintendo Switch Online access still work before the start window.
- Open the event overview again and check for a revised room, schedule, stage, weapon, or scoring notice.
- Make sure every teammate has joined the correct team and that the roster appears complete.
- Enter through Friends in the Grizzco lobby, selecting the Tournament Manager room rather than a general Private Battle room.
- Play only the shifts the event allows and keep the displayed time limit in view.
- Use Tournament Manager for rankings and results, and retain the organizer’s contact or dispute instructions if a result is missing.
If the room is unavailable, first verify that you are using the correct Nintendo Account and event entry, then reread the overview for a start-time or check-in requirement. For a rules dispute, the organizer’s published procedure takes precedence over assumptions based on another tournament.

How should players outside North America approach eligibility?
Golden Egg Feast 2026 is not an Australia- or New Zealand-open event: its published territory is the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with physical-location requirements while participating. Players elsewhere should look for a community tournament whose rules explicitly include their country, or wait for an official event with broader eligibility.
Do not infer eligibility from a teammate invitation, a global social post, or the fact that Tournament Manager displays an event. The organizer’s written territory and age rules decide whether your entry is valid.

How we identified the practical join path
The procedure above follows Nintendo’s participant and organizer documentation: locate an event or use its invitation, open the SplatNet 3 overview, select Enter Tournament, complete the division roster, enter the Tournament Manager room from Friends in the Grizzco lobby, and review results there. The selection criteria for useful competitions are current entry availability, explicit eligibility, a stated division and roster process, a published schedule and scoring method, and organizer rules that explain what happens when an event is canceled or a roster is incomplete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I join a Salmon Run tournament after registration closes?
Usually not through the normal Tournament Manager entry flow. Ask the organizer whether its rules permit a replacement or late addition, but do not assume a teammate invitation can override the published cutoff; the event’s written policy controls.
Do I need Nintendo Switch Online to play in every Salmon Run tournament?
Nintendo’s Golden Egg Feast rules require Nintendo Switch Online but allow a qualifying trial membership. A community organizer may impose a different condition, so verify the specific overview and rules rather than relying on the example event.
Are Big Run and Eggstra Work automatically tournaments?
No. Tournament Manager can use Regular Jobs and Big Runs as the activity being scored, but a registered competition has its own entry, schedule, and scoring instructions. Playing the mode outside that registration does not submit a tournament result.

Nintendo’s Tournament Manager rules state that a division with fewer than two entered teams is canceled. Check the organizer’s event terms for notice, rescheduling, or any treatment of fees, because those remedies are not identical for every competition.
Where will Golden Egg Feast reveal its stage and weapons?
Nintendo’s rules say the stage, supplied weapons, and King Salmonid are to be revealed in Tournament Manager within one week of the November 7, 2026 event. Check the event overview there instead of relying on an unofficial prediction.
