Samsung Laptops: The FAQs
The Samsung Odyssey Notebook runs on a Core i7 and is a really affordable gaming device from such a reputed brand. The only weak point is 512 GB SSD, which might be too small for many users. It ran Minecraft at 30 FPS without any hiccups, thanks to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060. Stable and silent are two words that best describe it.
The Samsung Chromebook Pro 2-in-1 is a superb convertible that uses the efficient Core M3 mobile processor. The 12.3-inch display is vivid and sports a resolution of 2400 x 1600.
The keypad is spill-resistant, and the screen can rotate by 360° around the hinge. It is an ideal device for note-taking and as a full-size laptop.
The Samsung NP900X5L-K02US Notebook 9 is the cheapest among all the Notebooks. It does not skimp on specs though with i7-6500U processor and a big 15-inch FHD display. However, the SSD is too small at 256 GB. It weighs less than 3 pounds and is an ideal device for travel and work.
Indeed it does in the form of Samsung Notebook 9 Pro. It has 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD (upgradable to 1 TB). With an active pen, you can unleash your creative side wherever you wish, and it can be synced perfectly with any other Samsung gear you use from watches to smartphones.
At less than $350, the Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 is ideal for those who are going back to school or college. It is a full-featured convertible that works both as a laptop and as a tablet. The USB Type C port is welcome at this price range, as is the aluminum case.
Our firm favorite was the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen. With a beautiful ocean blue color and a fast 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, it was suitable for all types of tasks. It could handle lots of gaming as well though not at very high FPS. It also supports Air Commands (waving pen above the laptop to open and close applications) and has two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
Almost as good is the Notebook 9 Pro. It is really light for a 15-inch device and has a sizeable well-spaced keyboard. The 8th Gen Intel processor coupled with 16GB of RAM makes it possible for it to attend to a wide range of tasks. The silver color adds to the elegance, and the built-in pen is remarkably convenient.
