Rayman Legends Retold is scheduled for December 3, 2026, so there are no trustworthy launch-day benchmarks yet. The best starting point is to match your hardware to Ubisoft’s published 60-FPS tier, select that tier’s preset, and use its Quality upscaling mode. That means 1080p Low on minimum-class hardware, 1080p High on the recommended tier, 1440p High on the 1440p tier, and 4K Ultra on the top tier. Every tier requires an SSD and dual-channel memory. Choose the highest Ubisoft tier whose CPU, GPU and memory configuration your computer meets, then copy its resolution, preset and upscaler mode. Start with the upscaler set to Quality; do not begin by changing individual shadows, textures or effects that Ubisoft has not documented.

- Identify your processor, graphics card, installed memory and whether the memory operates in dual-channel mode.
- Match those parts to one of the four official rows in the table below. Use the GPU examples as a tier reference, not as an exhaustive compatibility list.
- Install the game on an SSD with at least 33 GB free. Ubisoft lists DirectX 12 for every tier.
- In the game’s graphics settings, select the matching preset and resolution, then choose Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS where that tier allows it.
- After release, check the frame-rate counter or a repeatable benchmark in your own system. Ubisoft’s 60-FPS label is a target, not a promise that every scene will sustain 60 FPS.
The exact menu layout, frame-generation options and per-effect controls still need confirmation from the released PC build. The official specification only establishes presets and Quality upscaling.

Ubisoft publishes four resolution-and-preset combinations. The company assigns 60 FPS to each one and pairs them with specific processor, memory and GPU examples.

All figures are Ubisoft’s 2026 published targets. They are not independent benchmark results, and the GPU lists are examples rather than a guarantee that every card with a similar name will behave identically.
1080p Low: the minimum-hardware starting point
Use this row when your system is close to the Core i3-8100/Ryzen 3 3100, 8 GB dual-channel and GTX 1660/RX 5500 XT/Arc A580 class. Select the Low preset at 1920×1080 and Quality FSR or Quality XeSS. Ubisoft does not list DLSS for this tier, so do not assume that option will appear on a lower-end or incompatible GPU.
1080p High: the recommended 1080p target
The 1080p High row pairs a Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 3600 with 16 GB dual-channel memory and an RTX 2060 Super, RX 5700 or Arc A750 example. Use High at 1920×1080 and Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS, depending on which technologies your graphics card and driver support.
1440p High: the official QHD target
For a 2560×1440 display, Ubisoft’s High preset uses the same CPU class as its recommended 1080p row but raises the GPU examples to RTX 3070, RX 6750 XT or Arc B580. Quality DLSS, FSR or XeSS is specified. If your monitor is 1440p but your hardware only matches the 1080p row, begin at 1080p output or a lower preset rather than treating the 1440p target as automatic.

4K Ultra: the top published target
The 3840×2160 tier is Ultra with Quality DLSS or FSR, a Core i5-9400 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB dual-channel memory, and RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX examples. XeSS is not listed for this row. A 4K monitor alone does not qualify a PC for this target; the graphics card and the rest of the configuration must be in the published class.
Should I use DLSS, FSR or XeSS?
Use whichever Quality upscaler your GPU supports in the tier you selected. Ubisoft lists all three for the 1080p High and 1440p High rows, FSR and XeSS for 1080p Low, and DLSS or FSR for 4K Ultra. The available choices can therefore differ by graphics card.
- DLSS: listed for 1080p High, 1440p High and 4K Ultra. It requires compatible hardware and an appropriate driver.
- FSR: listed in every tier, including the 1080p Low row.
- XeSS: listed for 1080p Low, 1080p High and 1440p High, but not in Ubisoft’s 4K row.
“Quality” is the only upscaling mode Ubisoft specifies for these targets. There is no published Retold comparison establishing that one of these technologies has better image quality or frame pacing than the others on a given card, so choose by compatibility and personal preference after launch rather than by an unverified ranking.
What requirements are easy to miss?
Install on an SSD and reserve 33 GB
Ubisoft specifies 33 GB available on an SSD at every hardware tier. Treat that as free space needed for the current specification, not as a permanent promise about future patches. An internal SSD that meets the capacity and interface requirements of your PC is the relevant storage category; the storage device does not raise the GPU tier.

Every published row calls for dual-channel RAM. The minimum row lists 8 GB, while the three higher rows list 16 GB. Two matched modules or a correctly configured dual-channel laptop arrangement is the practical interpretation; simply having the stated total capacity does not prove that the memory is operating in dual-channel mode.
Check Windows and DirectX
The 1080p Low specification names 64-bit Windows 10. The 1080p High, 1440p High and 4K Ultra rows name Windows 11. DirectX 12 is specified throughout. If your system is on a different edition or an older 32-bit installation, it does not match the published requirement.

Enable ReBAR for listed Intel GPUs
Ubisoft’s requirement is explicit: ReBar must be enabled when using Intel GPUs.
The instruction applies to the Intel Arc examples in the specification. Check your motherboard firmware and system information for Resizable BAR support before relying on an Arc-based tier; the exact firmware menu name varies by motherboard manufacturer.
What should I change if the selected tier is not smooth?
Because no independent Retold benchmark exists before release, use a conservative troubleshooting order rather than claiming a specific FPS gain from any switch.

- Keep the Quality upscaler: make sure the selected DLSS, FSR or XeSS mode is actually set to Quality rather than assuming the preset applied it.
- Drop one official tier: move from 4K Ultra to 1440p High, from 1440p High to 1080p High, or from 1080p High to 1080p Low. This follows Ubisoft’s published progression without inventing a measured improvement.
- Reduce output resolution: if the display mode is still too demanding, try the next lower resolution supported by your monitor and operating system.
- Stop and document: record the patch number, resolution, preset, upscaler and whether the problem is a low average frame rate, stutter or visual artifact. That information is more useful for a future patch or support report than an unexplained collection of toggles.
Do not assume that lowering a particular shadow, texture or post-processing setting will help: Ubisoft has not published a confirmed Retold graphics-menu inventory or measured effect-by-effect trade-offs.
Are ray tracing, frame generation and 120-FPS modes confirmed?
No. Ubisoft’s cited PC specification confirms four 60-FPS targets with presets and Quality upscaling, but it does not confirm ray tracing, frame generation, an unlocked 120-FPS mode, native-resolution performance, or a particular V-Sync behavior. Those features may be documented later, but they should not be presented as available or optimized before the released build is checked.
The same limitation applies to individual texture, shadow and effects controls. A guide can safely tell you to begin with Low, High or Ultra and a Quality upscaler; it cannot responsibly assign a “best” value to an unlisted toggle.
Which accessibility and input options affect play, not performance?
Ubisoft confirms that PC players can remap controls, disable camera shake, and use Highlights or High Contrast Mode. These are comfort and readability settings, not established frame-rate optimizations.

Ubisoft’s accessibility discussion says these features help players recognize interactive objects, collectibles, enemies, the main path, and player characters.
Turn them on when visual clarity or motion comfort matters, regardless of the performance tier. The game also supports PC gamepads and up to four-player couch co-op; a compatible PC game controller can be useful for that mode, but controller choice does not increase FPS.
Why do Ubisoft’s GPU names and dates conflict?
The September 23 news article contains two apparent typographical or listing discrepancies. Its 1080p High row prints “RTX 20260S,” while the game-page specification identifies the recognizable model as RTX 2060 Super. The article’s 1440p row prints “Arc B850,” while the storefront identifies Arc B580. Use the identifiable storefront names, but recheck the official page before buying hardware because the wording may change.
A retrieved Steam listing showed October 1, 2026 and an older 10 GB storage figure. Ubisoft’s later game page gives December 3, 2026, and the September specification gives 33 GB on an SSD. Retailer and storefront pages can lag behind the publisher; the later Ubisoft information is the appropriate basis for a pre-release setup.

Ubisoft lists GeForce NOW and Blacknut among the game’s platforms, but availability, regional access, launch timing and program terms must be confirmed with those services. A cloud session also depends on your network connection and the provider’s hardware allocation, so it is not evidence that a local PC meets any of Ubisoft’s four tiers.
When should this settings guide be updated?
Recheck the official release date and specifications if Ubisoft changes them before December 3, 2026. On launch, verify the actual graphics-menu labels, available upscalers, storage requirement, patches and independent repeatable benchmarks. Those measurements can then replace preset-only advice with evidence about individual settings, frame pacing and image quality.
