There is no open permanent Pokémon Center London to check as of October 30, 2026. The Pokémon Company International has announced a permanent London store planned to open by 2029, but it is not operating yet. The London venue currently selling Pokémon collaboration merchandise is the temporary Pokémon x ESA Shop at the Science Museum, running from October 2, 2026, to January 3, 2027. It is a separate event shop, with its own timed ticket and changing stock. Before travelling, identify the venue, read the Science Museum’s dated stock notice, book both required tickets, and recheck the official page immediately before departure. An online “in stock” label cannot prove that an item will be waiting on a London shelf.

Is there a permanent Pokémon Center in London right now?

No. The Pokémon Company International announced a permanent physical retail destination for London on October 21, 2026, with an opening planned by 2029. That announcement is a future plan, not evidence of a store that is open today. The company’s UK Pokémon Center presence is currently its official online store, not a London branch with publicly viewable shelf inventory. Read the announcement at The Pokémon Company International’s London retail announcement if you need to confirm later changes.

Consequently, searches for “Pokémon Center London stock” can return a misleading mixture of future-store news, old pop-ups and online listings. A trip planned around a permanent Pokémon Center would be premature until the company publishes an opening date and visitor information.

Which London Pokémon shop are you actually trying to visit?

Most current stock questions refer to the Pokémon x ESA Shop at the Science Museum, not a Pokémon Center. The shop is on the museum’s mezzanine at Exhibition Road, London SW7 2DD. It is part of a temporary collaboration linked to the European Space Agency and is scheduled to run from October 2, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The official venue page is the correct place to check dated notices and ticket instructions: Science Museum Pokémon x ESA Shop visitor information.

Destination Status on October 30, 2026 What its stock information means Access
Permanent Pokémon Center London Announced, not open; planned by 2029 No London shelf stock exists to check yet Future opening details have not been published as a live-store schedule
Pokémon x ESA Shop, Science Museum Temporary event, October 2, 2026–January 3, 2027 Dated notices describe selected sell-outs and possible restocks; no live item-by-item feed Free general museum admission plus a separate free timed shop ticket
Pokémon x Natural History Museum pop-up Ended April 19, 2026 Online merchandise listings do not show that an in-person pop-up is running No current pop-up admission

The Natural History Museum collaboration is a separate event. Its organiser explicitly described the January 26–April 19, 2026 promotion as not a Pokémon Center store. Its online shop may still show remaining collaboration products, but that is not current Science Museum inventory. The original announcement is at the Pokémon x Natural History Museum release.

What does the Science Museum stock notice actually confirm?

The museum’s notice labelled Tuesday, October 20 says that selected products sold out quickly and that the museum was trying to restock selected items where possible. It specifically records the Astronaut Pikachu figurine and two Astronaut Pikachu plush products as sold out at that shop at the time of the notice. That dated statement should not be converted into a live October 30 count, a prediction that no restock will happen, or a claim about the online store.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The same guidance says the shop carries more than 150 selected Pokémon products. That is the stated range, not the number of units available, the number remaining on a particular day, or a promise that every product will be present. Selected Scarlet & Violet-series TCG products are available, but the museum says it offers no other TCG products and applies purchase limits to selected items.

“All products are subject to availability and entry to the shop does not guarantee that a particular product will be available to purchase.”

This sentence is the museum’s own warning and should govern your travel decision. A ticket gives access to the shop during a timed visit; it does not reserve a plush, figurine, trading-card product or any other item. The complete notice, including restrictions and updates, is on the official shop page.

How do I check stock before travelling to the Science Museum?

Use this sequence on the day you plan your journey and repeat the final checks shortly before leaving. It separates information the museum actually publishes from assumptions based on search results or unrelated retailers.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Name the exact venue. Start with “Pokémon x ESA Shop, Science Museum, Exhibition Road, London SW7 2DD.” If a page says only “Pokémon Center London,” it is referring to the future permanent store or to general online shopping, not automatically to this event shop.
  2. Open the museum’s event page rather than a reseller listing. Read the latest dated stock notice, product restrictions and event dates on the Science Museum page. Look at the date attached to every statement. The October 20 notice is historical context for the Astronaut Pikachu sell-outs, not a real-time inventory counter.
  3. Check your named item against the notice. If you want an Astronaut Pikachu figurine or either of the two named Astronaut Pikachu plush items, the notice records those products as sold out at the time it was posted. For another product, absence from the notice means only that the page does not report its status; it is not confirmation that the item is available.
  4. Confirm the product rules. Selected Scarlet & Violet TCG products are part of the stated range, while the museum says no other TCG products are offered. Purchase limits apply to selected products. If your plan depends on buying several copies or a particular card product, read the current restrictions before travelling.
  5. Book access separately from stock checking. Reserve free general museum admission and then a separate free timed shop ticket. During the booking journey, use the “Enhance your visit” stage to add the shop visit. If the shop does not appear there, the museum says that day’s shop tickets are sold out. A ticket release shown on the calendar is not proof that a particular slot remains available when you read it.
  6. Recheck the booking page on the day before travel. The posted calendar schedules a Friday, October 30 release for shop dates covering November 9–15. That is a release schedule, not a guarantee that any slot is still selectable. Open the booking journey again and verify the actual date and time you intend to use.
  7. Ask the museum only for what it can reasonably answer. The museum publishes a general-enquiries contact route, but the reviewed guidance does not promise live per-item counts, telephone confirmation, reservations or product holds. You may ask whether staff can clarify a current notice, but do not treat a reply as a guaranteed reservation; stock can change before arrival.
  8. Check opening hours for your travel date. The museum lists ordinary daily hours of 10:00–18:00 and a dated 09:00 opening for October 24–30, 2026. Use the event page’s current hours rather than an old search snippet, especially around holidays or after the scheduled January 3, 2027 end date.

Do I need both a museum ticket and a Pokémon shop ticket?

Yes. General museum admission and the Pokémon x ESA Shop visit are separate parts of the booking process. The shop ticket is free but timed; it is not automatically included just because you have museum admission. Conversely, a shop slot is not a reservation of merchandise and does not replace any general-admission requirement shown in the booking journey.

The museum’s “Enhance your visit” step is therefore an availability check for entry capacity, not a stock checker. If the shop option disappears, the day’s shop tickets are sold out according to the museum. You can still decide whether a museum visit without the shop meets your plans, but you should not travel expecting access to the event shop without the required timed ticket.

What are the opening dates and hours?

The temporary shop is scheduled for October 2, 2026–January 3, 2027. The ordinary museum hours published for the venue are 10:00–18:00, with a 09:00 opening listed for October 24–30, 2026. These are venue hours, not a promise that every product is replenished at opening or that queues will be absent.

For dates beyond the currently posted calendar, check the Science Museum page again. A scheduled event end is not evidence of an extension, and the future permanent Pokémon Center announcement does not turn the temporary shop into a year-round location.

Can Pokémon Center UK or another online listing prove London shop stock?

No. Pokémon Center UK is an official online store, but it is not the Science Museum’s shelf-inventory system. The company’s support guidance explains that Pokémon Center does not operate a permanent physical retail location in the way a searcher might assume; read it at Pokémon Center support. An item marked available online may be fulfilled from a different warehouse, and an online sold-out label does not establish what the museum has.

The Science Museum also has an online shop, but the reviewed homepage does not establish that Pokémon x ESA event exclusives are sold there. The ESA online shop and Pokémon Center UK are likewise separate channels. Compare those sites only if your goal is to buy a Pokémon product without making the London trip; do not present an online listing as proof that an item will be waiting at Exhibition Road.

What should I do if my must-have item is sold out?

If the item is an event-specific Astronaut Pikachu product

Use the dated museum notice as a warning that the product has already sold out at least once. Recheck for a new official update, but do not infer a restock date or assume that a general-enquiries response can hold one for you. If the product is the reason for an expensive journey, treat availability as uncertain until you have a current, explicit statement from the venue—and even then remember the museum’s no-guarantee wording.

If you want Pokémon merchandise rather than one exact item

Broaden the search to products the museum lists as available categories, including selected Scarlet & Violet-series TCG products, plush toys or activity books from legitimate sellers. Label those as alternatives, not substitutes for a limited Astronaut Pikachu exclusive. A general product purchase can usually be made online without paying for travel and a timed event visit.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If you are considering Natural History Museum merchandise

The Natural History Museum collaboration is not the Science Museum event and is not a current pop-up. Its online shop’s remaining products are a separate shopping option. The shop FAQ says the oversized Pikachu at the Museum gift-with-purchase card is sold out, so a listed collaboration product should not be interpreted as including that card.

How can I avoid the most common London stock-check mistakes?

  • Confusing an announcement with an opening: “By 2029” is a planning horizon, not a current store date.
  • Using the wrong museum: The Science Museum hosts the active Pokémon x ESA Shop; the Natural History Museum pop-up ended April 19, 2026.
  • Reading a dated notice as live inventory: The October 20 sell-out report records a past status and possible restocking effort.
  • Assuming silence means availability: If a product is not named in the notice, its status is simply not stated.
  • Treating a timed ticket as a purchase guarantee: Entry controls access, not the item you will find on a shelf.
  • Relying on an unrelated retailer: Another shop’s online stock is not evidence of Science Museum inventory.
  • Ignoring purchase limits: Selected products have limits, and the museum’s TCG offer is narrower than a general Pokémon card range.
  • Following stale search snippets: Use the museum’s dated page and booking journey immediately before you leave.

What is the safest pre-trip checklist?

Complete the following in order, ideally within 24 hours of departure:

  • Write down the exact product name and whether it is an event exclusive or a general Pokémon item.
  • Confirm that your destination is the Science Museum’s Pokémon x ESA Shop, not the future permanent store or the ended Natural History Museum pop-up.
  • Read the newest dated stock and purchase-limit notice on the museum page.
  • Book free general museum admission and a separate free timed shop ticket.
  • Verify that the “Enhance your visit” booking flow shows your intended shop date and time.
  • Check the museum’s hours for that date, including any special opening time.
  • Decide how much travel cost and time you are willing to risk when the item is not guaranteed.
  • Save the official event and booking pages, rather than relying on a cached search result.

This process can tell you whether the venue is open, whether entry capacity is available and what the latest official notice says. It cannot produce a guaranteed product-level stock count because the museum does not publish one.

Where can I buy Pokémon products without making the trip?

If your objective is simply to obtain Pokémon merchandise, compare online channels after checking that the listing is for the product you actually want. Pokémon Center UK, the ESA online shop, the Science Museum’s own online shop and other legitimate retailers are separate from the event’s physical shelves. An online purchase may remove the uncertainty of a London journey, but it may not offer the limited collaboration item that motivated your visit.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For shopping searches, “Pokémon Scarlet & Violet TCG products,” “Pokémon plush toys” and “Pokémon activity books” describe broader categories than the Astronaut Pikachu event range. Do not describe a generic listing as the Science Museum exclusive, and do not imply that a limited promotional card is included unless the seller states that exact product and terms.

What should you conclude before booking travel?

There is no current permanent Pokémon Center London with inventory to check. The only active London venue in the supplied dates is the temporary Science Museum Pokémon x ESA Shop, where the museum publishes dated notices rather than a live stock feed. Book the separate timed shop ticket, read the latest notice, confirm hours and accept that entry does not guarantee a particular product. If the item is non-exclusive, online ordering may be the lower-risk option; if it is a limited event product, postpone a costly journey unless the museum provides a current update that materially changes the uncertainty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Science Museum Pokémon shop still be open after January 3, 2027?

January 3, 2027 is the published scheduled end date for the Pokémon x ESA Shop. No extension is established by the current visitor information, so later travel plans require a fresh check of the museum’s event page rather than an assumption that the shop continues.

Can I reserve an Astronaut Pikachu item by contacting the museum?

The published guidance provides a general-enquiries route but does not promise product holds, per-item counts or guaranteed telephone stock confirmation. Contacting the museum may clarify a new notice, but it should not be treated as a reservation.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Are the Natural History Museum Pokémon products the same as the Science Museum products?

They come from different collaborations and venues. The Natural History Museum pop-up ended in April 2026, and its remaining online merchandise does not demonstrate that the Science Museum event has those products.

What does it mean if the shop is missing from “Enhance your visit”?

The Science Museum says the shop option is absent when that day’s timed shop tickets are sold out. That indicates an entry-capacity problem, not a statement that merchandise is sold out or that the shop has closed permanently.
