To save an MTG release schedule as a PDF, open Wizards of the Coast’s products index and print the page to PDF. That gives you a snapshot of its release list, not a month-grid calendar. For a printable calendar with releases placed on their dates, add verified events to Google Calendar and use its print settings to save a PDF. Check Wizards’ dates before you create either file: a PDF is a static snapshot, not a live schedule.
Which kind of printable MTG schedule do you need?
Choose between a quick PDF of Wizards’ release listing and a calendar-style PDF organized by date. The Wizards products page presents releases as a list; it should not be treated as a preformatted calendar. The official pages reviewed for this guide do not establish whether Wizards hosts a separate downloadable release-calendar PDF elsewhere, so the two dependable workflows are printing the live list or creating your own calendar from checked dates.

| Route | Setup effort | Appearance | Event types | Refreshing later |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Print Wizards’ list | Lowest; open the page and print | Faithful webpage/list snapshot | Whatever the page currently displays | Print a new copy whenever the page changes |
| Build Google Calendar | Higher; create a calendar and enter events | Month grid or text schedule | Separate prerelease, Arena and tabletop entries | Edit events, then export a newly dated PDF |
- Quick list: Print the Wizards page to PDF. This takes less setup and preserves the page as a reference.
- Month-grid calendar: Add dates as events in a calendar service, then print a month view. This takes more setup but makes dates easier to scan and lets you label different release milestones separately.
Before making either version, verify dates on Wizards’ live index. As of October 30, 2026, the next listed set is Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek, dated November 13, 2026. The index also lists Nauctis: The Sunken Realm for February 5, 2027; Magic: The Gathering | Marvel: Darkhold Destiny for April 9, 2027; Kamigawa: Titanbreach for June 4, 2027; and Zhalfir for October 1, 2027. These are the dates currently listed, not a guarantee that they will remain unchanged.
Use the products index as your final checkpoint even if you saw an earlier announcement, social post or retailer listing. A saved file should tell a reader when it was checked. Put the date in the filename and, if useful, in the document title or a note at the top of the calendar.

How do I save Wizards’ release list as a PDF?
Use your browser’s print command and choose a PDF destination. This is the fastest route when you want to keep the official listing rather than build a calendar grid. It requires only a computer browser and a place to save the file; no printer, paid software or paper is required.
- Open Wizards’ products index and check that the dates are current.
- Open the print dialog: press Ctrl+P on Windows or Command+P on Mac.
- Choose Save as PDF or, where available, Microsoft Print to PDF. In the macOS system print dialog, choose PDF → Save as PDF.
- Review the preview. Check that the release names and dates are visible and that the page layout is readable. Scroll through every page if the index is longer than one page.
- Save the file with an as-of date in its name, such as
mtg-release-list-2026-10-30.pdf. A descriptive name is easier to find than a generic file such asprint.pdf.
The result is a PDF snapshot of the webpage’s release list. It is not a month-grid calendar, and it will not update when Wizards changes a date. If the browser offers options such as headers, footers, background graphics or scale, inspect the preview after changing them. Keep the setting that leaves names and dates readable rather than assuming the browser’s default is optimal.
This route is useful for an archive, a quick reference or sharing the exact list you saw on a particular day. It is less useful when you want to answer questions such as “What releases happen in June?” because the entries remain in webpage order instead of occupying the days of a month.
How do I make a month-grid MTG release calendar?
In Google Calendar on a computer, create a separate calendar, add each verified milestone as an event, and print the Month view to PDF. Keeping releases in their own calendar makes it easier to hide unrelated events before printing and to update the file without touching personal appointments.
- In Google Calendar, find Other calendars and select Create new calendar. Give it a clear name, such as MTG releases. A separate calendar is preferable to mixing release dates into a personal calendar because you can show or hide the entire set with one control.
- For each date you verified on Wizards’ index or the relevant set announcement, create an event in that calendar. Use the event title to identify both the set and the milestone—for example, “Star Trek — tabletop release”—rather than labeling every event simply “release.”
- When a set has multiple milestones, enter them as separate events. For Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek, Wizards lists prerelease events for November 6–12, 2026, an MTG Arena release on November 10, and a global tabletop release on November 13. Those dates describe different events, not contradictory versions of one date. See Wizards’ Star Trek collecting guide.
- For a range such as November 6–12, represent the prerelease as a multi-day event if you want the calendar to show the whole window. Keep the Arena and tabletop milestones as single-day events with their own labels. This prevents a reader from mistaking the beginning of prerelease week for the global tabletop launch.
- Select Month for a wall-calendar-style page. Choose Schedule instead if a text-oriented list will fit longer event names or descriptions more clearly.
- Open Settings → Print. Choose the date range you need; Google’s help says, “In Google Calendar, you can print your calendar for a specific date range.” You can print one month, several months or a custom period instead of exporting the entire calendar.
- In the preview, adjust orientation, font size, weekend visibility and color. In Schedule view, the preview can include event descriptions. Hide unrelated calendars if they add clutter.
- Choose Save as PDF as the print destination, review the preview for cut-off names or crowded dates, and save the file with an as-of date, such as
mtg-calendar-2026-11-to-2027-10-2026-10-30.pdf.
Google documents printing a calendar on a computer and selecting a date range in its calendar printing instructions. Its print settings and preview are also described in Google Calendar Help.
Suggested event naming pattern
Consistent names make a crowded month easier to scan. A practical pattern is Set — milestone: “Star Trek — prerelease,” “Star Trek — Arena release” and “Star Trek — tabletop release.” If you include a description, add the source link and a note such as “Date checked 2026-10-30.” Keep the key distinction in the title because a Month-view cell may not display the full description.

How can I make the PDF easier to read?
Choose a layout based on how much information each event needs. A month grid is compact; a schedule-style page can accommodate more text. Print preview is the quality-control step: it shows what the PDF will contain, not merely what the editable calendar looks like.
- Use Month view when the goal is to see release dates in relation to the days of the month. If titles are clipped or crowded, reduce the number of visible event details or switch to Schedule view.
- Use Schedule view when you need longer titles or descriptions to remain legible. Google’s preview can include descriptions in this view, making it better for a reference sheet than a wall calendar.
- Check orientation and font size in the print preview. Landscape may give event names more room; a smaller font may fit more entries, but can make the result harder to read on paper. If a month contains many milestones, landscape is often the better first test.
- Choose color and weekend visibility to suit the intended use. Color can distinguish event categories, while weekend visibility helps when prerelease activities span a Friday-to-Sunday period. Check the preview rather than assuming the saved page will match the on-screen calendar.
- Hide unrelated calendars before printing so personal appointments or other events do not appear on the release sheet.
- Inspect page boundaries when printing several months. Confirm that each month has a heading and that no final week or event is pushed onto an unexpected page.
If your goal is a digital PDF, do not optimize for a physical printer’s margins unnecessarily. If you plan to use US Letter paper, select that paper size in the print dialog and check that the calendar remains legible at 100% or an intentional scale. Paper is optional; saving the PDF itself costs nothing.
If using an Outlook calendar instead, Microsoft documents choosing the calendar, print layout and time range, then selecting Microsoft Print to PDF. See Microsoft Support for the relevant Outlook calendar-printing guidance. Outlook is an alternative route, not a prerequisite for making an MTG PDF.
Why do MTG sets show more than one date?
“Release date” can mean different milestones. A prerelease window is when participating stores can run prerelease events; an Arena release is when digital cards become available on MTG Arena; and a global tabletop release is the broad physical launch. Put those on separate lines or events so a reader knows which action each date represents.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →The upcoming Star Trek set is a clear example: prerelease events run November 6–12, 2026; the MTG Arena release is November 10; and the global tabletop release is November 13. Calling all three simply “Star Trek release” creates an avoidable ambiguity. Labeling them separately also lets someone filter the PDF mentally—for example, a digital player can look for Arena entries while a local-store player can look for prerelease and tabletop dates.
Do not substitute a set announcement for the live products index when dates conflict. Announcements provide context and may describe plans, while the current index is the place to recheck the date immediately before exporting. A PDF should preserve both the milestone label and the date you actually verified.

What should I do when dates change?
Treat every saved PDF as a dated snapshot. If Wizards changes a listed date or announces another milestone, verify the live index again, update the calendar events, and save a fresh PDF with a new as-of date. Keep the old file only if you need an archive; otherwise, move it to an archive folder so nobody mistakes it for the current version.
For a Google Calendar file, edit the event rather than creating a second event with the same title unless both dates are genuinely different milestones. Reopen print preview after every edit. A date change can move an event into a month that already has many entries, creating clipping that was not present in the previous PDF.

For example, Wizards’ September 26, 2025 announcement said seven Magic sets were scheduled for 2026 and stated, “In 2027, we’ll return to a cadence of six Magic sets.” Those were announcement-era plans, not proof that the set dates currently listed for 2027 are a complete schedule. Consult the live products index for dates rather than using an older cadence announcement as a calendar. The current index shows five named 2027 entries in the dates listed above; do not describe that list as an exhaustive six-set schedule.
What does the workflow cost and what do you need?
The core workflow uses a web browser, access to Wizards’ public products page, and either a PDF print destination or a calendar account. Saving digitally does not require a printer, paper, ink or a paid PDF editor. Google Calendar’s print workflow is available on a computer; a physical printout adds only whatever paper and printer costs you choose to incur.
If you want a paper handout, US Letter printer paper is a reasonable generic search term. Avoid recommending a particular ink or toner cartridge without knowing the printer model. Wizards’ product pages may mention Play Boosters or shopping destinations such as Amazon and TCGplayer, but buying cards is unrelated to creating the PDF and is not a requirement for either workflow. TCGplayer partner availability is not assumed here.

Use this option only when preserving the visible webpage is your goal. It does not verify dates, create calendar events or resolve the difference between prerelease, Arena and tabletop milestones. For a dependable calendar, still check Wizards and build the events deliberately.

- The PDF is a list, not a calendar grid: That is the expected result of printing Wizards’ products page. Add the dates as calendar events and print a Month view for a grid.
- A set appears to have one date when you expected three: Check whether you entered only the tabletop date. Add separately labeled prerelease, Arena and tabletop events when those milestones are published.
- Event titles are cut off: Reopen the print preview and try landscape orientation, a smaller font or Schedule view. Shorten titles to “Set — milestone” and put extra context in descriptions. Review the saved layout before printing a paper copy.
- Unrelated events appear: Hide calendars you do not want included before opening the print settings. A separate MTG calendar makes this correction faster.
- The date range is too broad: Use Google Calendar’s date-range control and preview the first and last pages. Printing a specific range avoids exporting years of empty months.
- The PDF is already out of date: Check Wizards’ current index, update the affected events and export a newly dated copy. The previous PDF will not refresh itself.
- The browser preview is blank or missing content: Wait for the products page to finish loading, then reopen print preview. If a page element still fails to render, use the calendar-event workflow or save a refreshed list later rather than treating a partial page as complete.
- Several files have confusing names: Include the verification date and range in each filename, for example
mtg-calendar-2026-11-2027-10-checked-2026-10-30.pdf. - One set seems to have several release dates: Check what each date refers to. Prerelease, Arena and tabletop milestones can occur on different days; give them distinct event labels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I print only a few months of MTG releases?
Yes. Google Calendar’s official help says you can print for a specific date range. Set the range in the print workflow, then inspect the preview to confirm the first and last dates are the ones you want.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Do I need a printer to save the schedule as a PDF?
No. Choose a PDF destination in the print dialog and save the file digitally. You only need paper if you want a physical copy.
Can I share the calendar as a PDF with someone who does not use Google Calendar?
Yes. Once saved, the PDF is a separate file that can be sent or stored like other documents; the recipient does not need access to your calendar account to open it.
Is Wizards’ products page already a printable calendar?
No. It is a release listing. Printing it preserves the list as a PDF, but it does not place events into a month grid.

Which date should I use for a set with prerelease, Arena and tabletop milestones?
Use separate entries with explicit labels. For Star Trek, the published milestones are prerelease November 6–12, 2026, Arena November 10 and global tabletop November 13.
How often should I regenerate the PDF?
Regenerate it whenever Wizards changes a date or adds a milestone, and include a new as-of date in the filename. A saved PDF cannot update itself.
Can I print from Outlook instead of Google Calendar?
Yes. Microsoft documents selecting the calendar, layout and time range, then choosing Microsoft Print to PDF. Outlook is an alternative, not a requirement.
Do I have to buy cards or a printer-specific cartridge?
No. The digital workflow needs neither. If you print on paper, choose paper compatible with your own printer; a cartridge recommendation requires the exact printer model.
Can I use the 2025 announcement to fill in the whole 2027 calendar?
No. The announcement described plans, including a stated return to six sets in 2027. Use the live products index for currently listed dates and do not assume the visible entries are exhaustive.
