Hush is a Duelist, and her October 27, 2026 launch in VALORANT Patch 13.09 rewards players who can shape an engagement before taking the duel. Her telekinetic kit combines a guided flash, a pull that can concuss on collision, a movement anchor, and an ultimate that levitates everyone caught in its area. The most reliable beginner plan is to use Flashbulb to create the first swing, save Flow for a second movement option, and reserve Displacement for a target your team can actually punish.
This guide separates Riot Games’ confirmed mechanics from tactical recommendations. It covers Hush’s passive, repeatable ability sequences, attacking and defending decisions, reset management, coordination, and the limits of what is currently known about her performance.

Hush is a Duelist, not an Initiator or Controller. Riot’s official agent page labels her role “Duelist,” while the Patch 13.09 notes describe a kit built around Telekinesis, Displacement, Flashbulb, Flow, and Suspension. Her tools can help a team take space, but her job is still to create favorable fights and convert that pressure into eliminations.
Riot introduced Hush on October 27, 2026, with the line: “Hailing from Guangdong province, Hush uses her telekinesis to close the most classified cases.” The role label matters when you build a round plan: Hush can initiate her own duel more often than a utility specialist, yet she is not a substitute for every piece of scouting, smoke, or post-plant utility a team might need.

What does Hush’s kit do?
The table below lists the behavior Riot confirms and the practical job that behavior can serve. Riot’s notes do not provide a complete numeric range, cooldown, duration, damage, or performance table for every effect, so avoid treating an unlisted number as established fact.
| Ability | Confirmed behavior | Practical job |
|---|---|---|
| Telekinesis (passive) | Allows increased-range interaction with weapons, the Spike while attacking, and switches. | Reduce exposure while retrieving an item or activating an objective-related switch. |
| Displacement | Throws a device that can be prepared with alternate fire, directed toward the crosshair after reactivation, and detonated on a surface or after a delay. It pulls all players toward its center, can concuss players who collide with a surface or another player, and resets every two kills. | Move an anchored opponent into a punishable position, disrupt a close fight, or create a trade window. |
| Flashbulb | Throws a guidable flash that can be prepared, redirected toward the crosshair, and detonated. It flashes players looking at it. | Make a self-sufficient peek or curve a flash around an obstacle before a teammate swings. |
| Flow | Instantly creates an anchor and, after a delay, propels Hush toward it. Activating it while airborne briefly levitates her in place. | Change the angle and timing of an entry, cross a gap, establish an off-angle, or preserve a retreat route. |
| Suspension (ultimate) | Is instantly prepared, launched with fire, steered with the crosshair, and detonated by reactivation or another fire press. It levitates all players caught in its area. | Create a coordinated site-take, interrupt a grouped push, or open a retake window. |
How does Telekinesis work?
Telekinesis is Hush’s passive. Riot confirms that it increases her interaction range with weapons, the Spike while she is attacking, and switches. The official material does not publish a complete numeric range or every line-of-sight rule, so the safe assumption is only that some interactions can be completed from farther away than normal.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Use the passive to lower exposure
On attack, Telekinesis can matter when the Spike is sitting just beyond a corner or when a dropped weapon is in a dangerous lane. Instead of walking fully into the open to start the interaction, position at the edge of cover and attempt the pickup from the increased range. The same principle applies to a switch: treat the extra reach as a way to shorten the time your body must be exposed, not as permission to ignore an opponent who is holding the angle.
Do not assume an unlimited interaction
Because Riot does not state the exact distance or whether every obstacle is ignored, do not plan a round around a pickup that has not been visually confirmed. If the item is important, clear the angle first or have a teammate watch it. Telekinesis is a risk-reduction tool, not a replacement for cover and information.
How do I use Displacement?
Equip Displacement and throw it. You can use alternate fire to prepare it, then reactivate it to direct the device toward your crosshair. It explodes when it reaches a surface or after a delay, pulls all players toward the center, and concusses players who collide with a surface or another player. Riot states that the ability resets every two kills.
Pull a defender into a punishable lane
The strongest practical use is to target a player whose current position is valuable because it is stable: a planted angle, a tight doorway, or a corner behind which a teammate is ready to trade. Pulling that player is not automatically a kill. Your team still needs a clear line of fire, a timing call, and enough space to capitalize before the target recovers.
Use the collision concussion deliberately
A target can be concussed when the pull makes them collide with a surface or another player. Look for geometry that turns the displacement into a forced collision rather than throwing it into open space. In a close-range fight, the effect can make a swing more favorable; at longer range, it may be better to pull the opponent into a teammate’s crossfire than to chase the status effect yourself.
Understand the two-kill reset
Displacement resets every two kills, according to Riot’s notes. That creates an incentive to convert fights and trades instead of spending the ability only for visual disruption. The reset does not prove that Hush is stronger than every other Duelist, and it does not mean you should force a reckless second duel. It means a successful fight can restore a tool that shapes the next engagement.

How do I curve Flashbulb?
Flashbulb follows a throw, prepare, redirect, and detonate pattern. Throw it, use alternate fire to prepare it, steer it toward the crosshair, and reactivate it to detonate. It flashes players who are looking at it, so the direction and timing of the final pop matter as much as the initial throw.
Start with a simple self-entry
For a first attempt, throw Flashbulb along the intended peek path, redirect it so the pop is just before the angle, detonate, and swing immediately. The focused Hush gameplay guidance supports this Flashbulb-to-swing pattern as a practical beginner sequence. A delayed swing wastes the advantage and gives an opponent time to turn, retreat, or call a teammate.
Recommended Free Tools
Use preparation to change the timing
Preparing the flash before detonation lets you separate the throw from the final pop. That is useful when a teammate is ready to swing on a call: announce “flash ready,” wait for the crosshair to reach the desired line, detonate, and have the teammate enter on the same beat. Do not assume a flash catches players who are not looking at it; Riot’s description specifically refers to players looking at the flash.
How does Flow’s dash work?
Flow instantly creates an anchor and, after a delay, propels Hush toward it. If Hush is airborne when she activates Flow, Riot says she briefly levitates in place. The anchor is therefore a decision point: place it where a later movement choice gives you a better angle, not merely where you are already safe.
Entry route
Set the anchor before exposing yourself, then use the movement to arrive from an unexpected angle or cross a gap. Once you arrive, Flashbulb can create the immediate duel. The value is the changed timing and line of sight, not movement for its own sake.
Off-angle and retreat route
Flow can also be prepared before contact so you have a planned escape after drawing attention. If the first peek is unfavorable, the anchor gives you a known destination rather than an improvised retreat. Keep in mind that opponents can still anticipate the destination if you repeat the same placement every round.
Airborne activation
When Hush is already airborne, activating Flow briefly levitates her in place. Riot confirms the levitation but does not publish a full duration or a guarantee that the pause is safe. Use it only when the temporary hold improves your angle or timing and a teammate is covering the risk.
When should I use Suspension?
Suspension is an area-control ultimate, not an automatic frag button. It is instantly prepared, sent forward with fire, steered with the crosshair, and detonated with reactivation or another fire press. Riot confirms that every player caught in the effect is levitated; the official description does not establish damage or a guaranteed kill.

Site execute
Call the launch before you send it. Steer Suspension toward the grouped defenders or the space your entry team must cross, detonate when the catch is most likely, and have teammates crash the opening immediately. The temporary loss of normal ground positioning creates the window; your team must supply the damage and map control.
Retake and interruption
On defense, hold Suspension for a committed take or a grouped retake rather than firing it at the first piece of contact. A well-timed detonation can interrupt a push or create a brief retake window. If the opponents are spread out, the area may produce less value, so gather information before committing the ultimate.
What are Hush’s best beginner combos?
These sequences are repeatable patterns, not guaranteed outcomes. Adjust the order to the map, the positions you have cleared, and the teammate timing available in the round.
1. Flash-and-swing
- Choose the angle you intend to take and identify where an opponent is likely to look.
- Throw Flashbulb, use alternate fire to prepare it, and steer it around the intended peek path.
- Detonate as you or your teammate reaches the swing point.
- Enter immediately, then stop and reset your crosshair rather than continuing into an uncleared second angle.
This is Hush’s simplest self-sufficient entry attempt because the guided flash can be adjusted after the initial throw.
2. Pull-and-punish
- Identify an anchored defender whose position is connected to a teammate’s line of fire.
- Throw Displacement and prepare it with alternate fire if you need to delay the activation.
- Reactivate toward the target and let the pull move the player toward the center.
- Have the crossfire punish the new position, especially if the pull creates a collision and concussion.
If Hush earns two kills, Displacement resets. Treat the reset as a reason to preserve the next fight’s value, not as permission to overextend.
3. Flow entry
- Place Flow’s anchor at a destination that changes the angle or timing of your entry.
- Use the route to arrive from an off-angle or cross the intended gap.
- Prepare Flashbulb during the approach when the timing allows.
- Detonate and take the duel while the opponent is still adjusting to your arrival.
Repeating the same anchor placement makes the route predictable, so vary the destination when the round state permits.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems4. Suspension execute
- Wait until your team knows where the site or retake group is concentrated.
- Launch Suspension and steer it toward the group or the choke point that matters.
- Detonate with reactivation or another fire press.
- Call the levitation window and have teammates enter, clear the next angle, or defuse immediately.
The sequence works only when teammates act on the timing. A solo launch into an empty area spends an ultimate without creating the coordinated opening it is designed to provide.
How should I play Hush on attack?
On attack, Hush should create the first favorable contact while preserving one option for the next decision. Do not spend every ability before you know where the defenders are holding.

Opening contact
Use information about the likely defender anchor to choose between Flashbulb and Displacement. Flashbulb is the cleaner first tool when you need to swing a known angle. Displacement is more valuable when a defender is locked into a position that a teammate can punish. If the first route becomes predictable, keep Flow available to change the entry angle instead of forcing the same peek.
Mid-round recovery
After the first contact, reassess who is alive, where the Spike is, and whether the opponents have rotated. Telekinesis can reduce exposure while retrieving the Spike or a dropped weapon, but the passive does not remove the need to clear the surrounding lane. A saved Flow anchor can turn a stalled hit into a late split or give Hush a route away from a failed entry.

When Hush gets a kill, check whether the two-kill Displacement reset is close or has already occurred. The reset is most useful when the team immediately converts the next space, so communicate the target and avoid chasing a low-probability duel merely to force another reset.
How should I play Hush on defense?
On defense, Hush is strongest when she changes the timing of the first contest and has a teammate ready to exploit the movement or flash.
Contest an entry
Place Flow where it can produce a different angle or a controlled retreat, then use Flashbulb or Displacement as the enemy reaches the point of contact. A pull is particularly valuable when another defender is ready to trade the displaced player. Do not describe this as a guaranteed stop: crosshair placement, timing, and teammate follow-up still determine the result.
Hold for the committed hit
If the enemy has not revealed its numbers, avoid burning every tool on a probe. Displacement can interrupt a constrained position, while Suspension can create a retake window when several attackers are grouped. The correct timing depends on information; an ultimate aimed at a scattered team may catch fewer players than one held for the committed take.

After the site falls
Once the Spike is planted, decide whether Suspension is more valuable for the first retake contact or for denying a grouped defuse. Flow can change the retake angle, and Flashbulb can force opponents to look away before the swing. Keep a clear division of labor so Hush’s levitation window is not wasted while teammates wait for an unannounced call.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How do I manage Hush’s economy and resets?
The only explicit reset documented in the official material is Displacement’s reset every two kills. Riot’s notes do not provide a broader economy recommendation or a complete numerical cooldown table, so do not infer one from the reset mechanic.

What should I compare when choosing Hush over another Duelist?
There is no authoritative current pick-rate, win-rate, damage, cooldown, or tier statistic in the cited material, so a definitive ranking would overstate the evidence. Compare Hush by the job your team needs rather than by an unsupported tier label.
| Comparison axis | Question to ask | What Hush offers |
|---|---|---|
| Self-sufficient entry | Can the agent create a first duel without waiting for a specialist? | Flashbulb can be guided and detonated by Hush before her own swing. |
| Mobility safety | Can the agent change angle or preserve a retreat? | Flow creates an anchor and propels Hush toward it after a delay. |
| Flash control | Can the flash be redirected after the throw? | Flashbulb can be prepared, steered toward the crosshair, and reactivated. |
| Displacement or crowd control | Can the kit move or disrupt an opponent? | Displacement pulls players toward its center and can concuss collisions; Suspension levitates players caught in its area. |
| Ability complexity | How much timing and crosshair control does the kit demand? | Several abilities require preparation, steering, and a deliberate reactivation. |
| Teammate dependence | Does utility become stronger with a coordinated follow-up? | Pulls and levitation are most valuable when teammates are ready to take the resulting space. |
| Kill-to-utility conversion | Can a successful fight restore a tool? | Displacement resets every two kills. |
What mistakes do new Hush players make?
- Using Displacement as random damage: its confirmed value is movement and possible collision concussion. Throw it where the pull changes a fight.
- Flashing without a swing: a flash that no one exploits gives the opponent time to recover or reposition.
- Placing Flow only on safe ground: an anchor should create a meaningful angle, timing change, or retreat option.
- Launching Suspension at scattered players: the ultimate’s area control depends on catching a group and coordinating the follow-up.
- Assuming passive range solves every pickup: Riot confirms increased interaction range, not an unlimited or obstacle-ignoring interaction.
- Chasing the reset: two kills restore Displacement, but forcing a bad duel can throw away the round’s advantage.
- Repeating one route: opponents can prepare for a predictable Flow anchor or flash path; vary the timing and destination.
What is known—and not known—about Hush’s performance?
The confirmed information covers the role and ability behavior, not a competitive verdict. No named Hush pick-rate, win-rate, damage figure, cooldown table, or other performance statistic was established in the authoritative and focused guide sources used for this article. As a result, claims that Hush is definitively overpowered, weak, or the best Duelist would be speculation rather than a sourced conclusion.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Use the mechanics to form a round plan, then judge your own results by decision quality: did the flash create a timed swing, did the pull move a target into a real crossfire, did Flow change the angle, and did Suspension create a coordinated window? Those questions are more reliable than an invented tier number while the agent is new.
How we picked these tactics
The recommendations follow two constraints: first, every mechanical statement comes from Riot’s Patch 13.09 notes or official Hush page; second, each tactic must be a plausible use of those confirmed effects rather than a promise of a particular kill rate. The sequences emphasize guided preparation, crosshair-directed activation, teammate timing, and the two-kill Displacement reset because those are the parts of Hush’s kit that directly change a round decision.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hush’s Telekinesis work through walls?
Riot confirms increased interaction range but does not publish a complete rule for walls, cover, or line of sight. Treat the passive as extra reach, not as permission to interact through any obstacle, and verify that the pickup or switch is actually available before exposing yourself.
Can Suspension damage enemies or guarantee a kill?
The official description establishes levitation for players caught in the effect, but it does not state damage or a guaranteed elimination. Plan it as a positioning window that teammates must convert with their own weapons and timing.
Is Hush easy to play in solo queue?
Her flash and movement can start a duel independently, but Displacement and Suspension gain more value when teammates understand the timing. Use short calls such as “pulling now,” “flash ready,” or “levitation on site” so the team acts during the opening instead of after it closes.
What should I practice first with Hush?
Learn the prepare, steer, and reactivate rhythm on Flashbulb before adding complicated movement. Then practice placing Flow’s anchor before contact, because a useful destination matters more than activating the movement reflexively.
