The collection is broad rather than literally identical to every historical release. Pinnacle Station is not included, according to a secondary reference. How does save transfer work between the three Legendary Edition games?
Choices transfer as career data, not as one universal file. Original PC Mass Effect 2 save
- Close both games and any launcher that might synchronize the save directory.
- Make a backup copy of the original Mass Effect 2 character save in a separate folder.
- Locate the original save under the BioWare documents directory.
- Copy the character save into the Mass Effect 2 Legendary Edition save folder for the same user account.
- Open Legendary Edition, start Mass Effect 2 and choose the imported career through the game’s import interface.

Can I move a PS4 Legendary Edition save to PS5?
The same launch-era reporting says PlayStation did not provide the equivalent PS4-to-PS5 transfer for Legendary Edition. A PS4 save that works correctly inside the trilogy therefore should not be assumed to appear on PS5.
This limitation does not prevent normal in-trilogy imports on a supported installation. It concerns the console-generation boundary: PS4-to-PS5 is a different compatibility question from importing Mass Effect 2 career data into Mass Effect 3 on the same supported platform.

When do the included weapons and armor become available?
Electronic Arts says weapons and armor DLC are integrated into normal progression. Depending on the item and game, equipment is obtained through research or purchased from merchants as the campaign advances rather than being automatically unlocked at the start.

- Identify the source: original PC ME1, ME2 or ME3; Legendary Edition; Xbox; or PlayStation.
- Match the destination: original PC ME2 saves target ME2 Legendary Edition, and original PC ME3 saves target ME3 Legendary Edition.

Next, close the game and launcher, restore the backup, and repeat the copy without overwriting the original. If cloud synchronization is active, allow it to finish and check which copy is current. If the source is a console-generation move, verify the platform’s current cloud or roaming status before deleting the old console’s installation.
