Is the E-Ink panel wireless?
JSAUX specifies Bluetooth 5.0 for E-Ink and a built-in 500 mAh rechargeable battery. USB-C is used to recharge it, while image updates are described as Bluetooth-based.

Do not force the panel, pry at the display or disconnect internal components based on a different product’s tutorial. If the magnetic alignment is unclear or the panel does not sit correctly, stop and ask JSAUX support for the current hardware instructions.
What should I do if the panel, app or connection fails?

There is no reliable basis for saying that a magnetic JSAUX faceplate automatically voids, preserves or changes Valve’s Steam Machine warranty. Install only the package that matches the hardware, use Decky Loader as JSAUX requires, and keep purchase documentation. The faceplate-specific JSAUX warranty is stated as 24 months including its six-month extension, while Valve coverage and exact return eligibility require separate confirmation.

Can one JSAUX app control both faceplate types?
