The Australian figures describe a noticeably smaller appliance internally than the UK listing, while CHOICE’s claimed figures sit between them. Measure the cabinet opening, door swing and the path from the entrance to the final position. The FAB32 is tall and close to 60 cm wide, but its handle and open-door clearance add substantial depth.

Those figures are not interchangeable. The UK unit is 42 mm taller than the Australian figure, and the UK page distinguishes cabinet depth from handle depth. The clearest published energy and noise data applies to the Australian NA1 documentation, not automatically to every international version.
- Energy: 323 kWh per year, from Smeg Australia’s 2017 datasheet.
- Noise: 41 dBA, from the same 2017 Australian datasheet.
- Australian energy rating: 3.5 stars.
- Warranty: two years of parts and labour in the Australian documentation.
CHOICE’s record repeats the 323 kWh-per-year figure and lists a two-year warranty. The current UK configuration has different published capacity, so read its own current energy label rather than applying the Australian rating or consumption figure. Annual consumption is a label value, not a promise of your household’s electricity bill: room temperature, door opening, food load and electricity tariff all affect actual cost.

CHOICE’s record identifies the model, lists an AUD $3,490 price, records a 2020 test year, reports 326 L total volume and identifies Italy as the country of origin. It also confirms a left hinge and repeats the 323 kWh-per-year consumption figure.
The public page does not show CHOICE’s expert rating, temperature-performance scores, noise result, reliability score or satisfaction score; those details are restricted to members.
