The iPhone 18 Pro Max and vivo X300 FE are aimed at different buyers, and their listed prices come from different markets: Apple announced the iPhone at $1,299 in the U.S., while vivo India displayed the X300 FE from ₹84,999. Those figures are not a like-for-like price comparison. The clearest differences are the X300 FE’s smaller 6.31-inch display and listed 90W wired charging, versus the iPhone’s wider storage range up to 2TB and Apple’s iOS ecosystem.
iPhone 18 Pro Max vs vivo X300 FE specs at a glance
The specifications below reflect Apple’s U.S. launch information and vivo India’s product listing and parameter page. They are regional manufacturer specifications, not results from a common independent test.

Price difference depends on country and configuration
Apple announced a U.S. starting price of $1,299 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, with availability in initial markets from September 18, 2026. Its announced storage tiers are 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. This is U.S. launch pricing, not a global price.
On October 5, 2026, the vivo India Official E-Store displayed ₹84,999 for the X300 FE 8GB+256GB and ₹89,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. Those are India listing prices at the time accessed and may change; the listing also showed discount labels. Since one price is U.S. launch pricing and the other is an India store listing, subtracting them or describing one phone as cheaper would be misleading. Compare current local prices for the same storage tier, and account for taxes and retailer terms.

Display and size: a smaller-screen alternative
vivo India specifies a 6.31-inch AMOLED panel with 2640 × 1216 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for the X300 FE. For the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s display and physical dimensions, consult Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Max technical specifications for the relevant market; the launch details cited here do not provide a like-for-like dimension comparison.
The X300 FE is the more clearly specified compact-display option based on the available figures. If pocketability or one-handed use matters, compare both models’ exact height, width, thickness and weight in the market where you are buying rather than relying on screen diagonal alone.

Camera hardware and what the numbers do not tell you
vivo X300 FE
vivo India lists a 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto camera, 8MP wide-angle camera and 50MP front camera. vivo also says its ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is compatible with the X300 FE and sold separately; check local availability before treating it as part of a camera setup.
iPhone 18 Pro Max
Apple describes a 48MP Fusion main camera with variable aperture and an updated Pro camera system. The launch announcement frames the camera changes as improvements, but that is a manufacturer claim rather than independent evidence that it outperforms the vivo in particular situations.

Megapixel counts alone do not establish photo or video quality. The cited manufacturer material does not provide a controlled comparison of image quality, so a camera winner cannot be named from these specifications. For a decision, compare the focal lengths and features you will actually use—such as telephoto reach, wide-angle framing and front-camera needs—and look for comparable sample photos or independent testing.
Battery and charging are not a runtime comparison
vivo India lists a 6500mAh typical battery capacity, a 6350mAh rated capacity and 90W wired charging. vivo Philippines lists 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, illustrating that regional specifications can differ. Confirm the exact model page for your market before relying on the wireless-charging figure.

Apple’s launch announcement says battery life has improved but does not supply a directly comparable milliamp-hour capacity or charging figure in the cited details. Capacity and charging wattage do not establish how long a phone lasts in real use. No comparable runtime test is established here, so these figures cannot support a battery-life winner.
Software, storage and ecosystem
The X300 FE runs Android 16 with vivo’s OriginOS 6 according to vivo India; Apple identifies iOS 27 and the A20 Pro chip for the iPhone 18 Pro Max in its launch announcement. These platforms differ in interface, services and device ecosystem. Choose based on the apps, accessories and other devices you already use, rather than treating the processor names as a neutral performance ranking: manufacturer specifications are not benchmark results.

Storage is a practical point of separation. Apple announced iPhone capacities from 256GB through 2TB, while the vivo India listing reaches 512GB and includes RAM/storage variants. Match capacity to your photo, video and app needs, and verify the precise regional configuration before ordering.
Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the iPhone 18 Pro Max if you want iOS, use Apple devices and services, or need an announced storage option as high as 2TB. Check its local price and technical specifications for your country.
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if you prefer Android with OriginOS, want the specified 6.31-inch 120Hz display, or value its listed telephoto camera and 90W wired charging. Confirm regional configuration and features, especially wireless charging.
- Compare local checkout prices directly only after matching country, storage capacity, retailer, taxes and price basis. The U.S. Apple launch price and India vivo listing are not an apples-to-apples price gap.
What to verify before buying
- Current local price for the exact storage/RAM configuration.
- Regional model availability, network compatibility and included box contents.
- Exact dimensions and weight if the phone’s size matters.
- Camera performance and battery runtime from comparable independent tests if either is a deciding factor.
- Wireless charging support on the specific regional X300 FE model; vivo’s India and Philippines specifications differ.
