What changed in Sunset Overdrive after 12 years?
The reported change is the Steam Deck compatibility label. ComicBook.com reported on October 26, 2026, that Steam changed the game’s status from Unsupported to Playable.
No public technical changelog accompanied that report. The available information does not identify a new executable, a graphics update, a frame-rate improvement, a controller fix or the person or company responsible for the status change. Treating the event as a confirmed content or gameplay patch would therefore overstate what is known.
Steam’s Playable category means the game can work on Steam Deck but may require adjustments or include one or more compatibility compromises. Does the PC version have the same multiplayer features as Xbox?
