- Read Current Focus. Open the active mystery in your journal and look at its Current Focus. Select pale or incomplete mind-map nodes, but also select the lines connecting them: a connection may contain the missing direction even when the evidence itself looks familiar.
- Reopen documents and inspect their details. Picking up a paper does not necessarily mean you have examined the information that matters. Revisit it in the journal and look closely at signatures, dates, names, and marks.
- Check dialogue by person and by evidence. A topic about a person can be as important as a topic about an object or event. Sometimes you need to ask one character about another; analysing a newly found object may also unlock a conversation topic.
- Survey the room with Detective Sight. Then look above and below normal eye level and check nearby hallways. A small piece of evidence can be easy to overlook, but not every incomplete deduction means an object is missing.
- Check the map and schedules before seeking someone. A guest may not be where you expect at that time. Prioritize a scheduled meeting or event over optional exploration if you know the day is moving forward.
- Try a connected mystery if you hit a hard gate. If an area remains inaccessible or a character investigation has stopped progressing, another connected thread may provide the clue or story progress you need. Don’t assume a locked door always has a nearby code.

Trace the connections as one continuous route instead of trying to reproduce a finished symbol from memory. The diagram is a path puzzle: each line must be traversed, and the node connections determine which route is possible.

Think of the diagram as a graph: nodes are vertices, and the lines between them are edges. A route that uses every edge once is an Eulerian path. For a non-closed route, the odd-degree nodes must be its endpoints; work through loops while keeping a route open between those endpoints. If you close a loop too early or use a connection in a way that strands an unused line, back up and choose a different branch.
If physically tracing with the mouse is the obstacle rather than solving the route, a settings option lets you click nodes in order instead. That changes the input method, not the underlying puzzle. The Room 19 lockbox code is HOGD. Make sure the letters are in that order; a community guide’s comments corrected an earlier transposition to HODG.

How do I get into the bath house?

After gaining access, collect all four documents before attempting the lock. The documents supply context for a six-symbol sequence; trying to solve it with only part of the evidence can make the puzzle seem arbitrary.

A player guide gives the women’s dormitory sequence as positions 214435, counted from left to right. This is an exact lock answer, not a hint about when the story grants access.
Access timing and guest schedules can change with progression or updates, so do not take a guide’s day-specific sequence of events as a guarantee that every playthrough or future version is identical. The clue-gathering order—get all four documents before solving—is the more useful general rule.
