For website owners, QA teams, and developers testing systems they own or are authorized to assess, the six services with current official documentation are 2Captcha, Anti-Captcha, CapSolver, captcha-solver, AZcaptcha, and iacaptcha. They are hosted APIs rather than interchangeable software packages. The practical choice depends on the challenge types in your test environment, whether you need polling or webhooks, available SDKs, feedback and balance methods, and the provider’s permitted-use terms. No independent comparison in the available documentation establishes a reliable “best” ranking for speed, uptime, accuracy, or price, so treat this as a feature and fit comparison—not a performance league table.

Use any solver only on properties and workflows for which you have explicit authorization. A provider returning a token does not grant permission to bypass another site’s controls. Check the target site’s rules, applicable law, and the provider agreement before running tests.

How were these six CAPTCHA-solving services selected?

The list covers six vendors whose own documentation describes an API or hosted workflow for submitting CAPTCHA tasks and receiving solutions. The selection is not a ranked “best to worst” list: the available material is first-party product documentation, not a controlled test of success rate, latency, uptime, or cost.

Documentation depth is uneven. 2Captcha, Anti-Captcha, and CapSolver publish the most detailed workflow and policy material in the sources reviewed. captcha-solver, AZcaptcha, and iacaptcha are included because their documentation describes relevant APIs or testing use cases, but some commercial, reliability, or policy details require confirmation on the provider’s current site.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Because challenge formats and provider terms change, open the linked documentation immediately before implementation and record the version or date you evaluated.

What should you compare before choosing a CAPTCHA API?

Start with the challenge your test must handle, then check the integration and compliance details. A familiar API shape is useful, but it does not prove that two services support the same CAPTCHA variant or produce equivalent results.

Service Documented challenge and integration coverage Operational methods documented Policy or evidence cautions
2Captcha CAPTCHA and image-recognition service; documentation lists a wide range of challenge types and provides language clients. Task submission and result retrieval; quick-start material for several programming languages. Terms of Service restrict use to authorized, legal purposes and prohibit spam, illegal access, and brute forcing. No independent performance comparison is supplied.
Anti-Captcha Classic image tasks plus multiple interactive CAPTCHA task types. Task creation, result retrieval, balance and queue statistics, and result reporting. The service agreement describes a limited internal-business license and service disclaimers. Feature documentation is not a benchmark.
CapSolver Multiple challenge types, with documented agent and browser-automation integrations. Getting-started flow uses task submission and result retrieval; integrations are described in the API documentation. Its compliance statement prohibits listed illegal or abusive uses. Price, speed, and uptime claims must be checked as vendor claims.
captcha-solver Supported challenge categories and SDK information; API is described as compatible with the anti-captcha createTask/getTaskResult pattern. Create-task and get-result style workflow. Performance, commercial terms, and affiliate status were not independently verified in the cited introduction.
AZcaptcha Support page lists several challenge categories and use cases including QA automation, monitoring, accessibility testing, CI/CD, data migration, and compliance auditing. Timing and credit information is presented on the support page, but no independent measurement is available. Any timing or credit figure should be dated and attributed to AZcaptcha. Recheck current support material before relying on it.
iacaptcha Documentation lists supported task types and browser-extension support. Task submission, result retrieval, balance checks, webhooks, and browser extensions. The available documentation provides less detail on terms and independent reliability; confirm current availability and fit.

How does a CAPTCHA-solving API workflow work?

Most hosted services use an asynchronous pattern: create a task, wait while it is processed, then retrieve a result or receive a callback. Build your integration so that a CAPTCHA is treated as an external dependency that can time out, fail, or return an unusable answer.

  1. Confirm authorization and scope. Identify the domains, test accounts, environments, and challenge types you are allowed to exercise. Keep production traffic separate from staging unless the owner has approved production testing.
  2. Create an account and protect the key. Store the API credential in a secret manager or CI/CD secret, not in browser code, a repository, screenshots, or test logs. Restrict who can read it and rotate it if exposed.
  3. Submit a task. Send the challenge-specific parameters required by the provider. Depending on the challenge, that may include a site URL, public site key, image data, proxy or browser context, or other fields defined by the vendor’s documentation. Do not guess field names; use the provider’s current schema.
  4. Poll or accept a callback. For polling, wait between requests and enforce a deadline. If webhooks are supported, expose an authenticated HTTPS endpoint, validate the event, and make processing idempotent so a duplicate callback cannot repeat an action.
  5. Validate the response in your test. Check that the response has the expected shape and pass it only to the authorized test flow. A syntactically valid token can still be rejected because the token expired, the site key or page URL was wrong, the challenge changed, or the provider could not solve that task.
  6. Report and record outcomes. Where a provider offers result reporting or feedback, use it according to the API rules. Record task ID, challenge type, timestamps, outcome, and error code while removing secrets and personal data from logs. These records help you distinguish your test harness errors from provider failures.
submit task → receive task ID → poll result or receive webhook → validate response → submit authorized test → record outcome

Queue and balance methods can help a test runner decide whether to submit more work. They do not replace rate limits, backoff, or a local circuit breaker. Set a maximum wait time and a fallback path that marks the test inconclusive rather than repeatedly hammering either API or the site under test.

Which service fits each authorized automation scenario?

2Captcha: broad documented coverage and language clients

2Captcha describes itself as a CAPTCHA and image-recognition service. Its API documentation lists a wide range of challenge types and explains task submission and result retrieval. The quick-start guide includes clients for several programming languages, which may shorten the first integration for teams that do not want to write an HTTP wrapper.

Choose it when your immediate requirement is matching a documented challenge type to an existing language stack. Verify the exact task name and required fields rather than relying on the phrase “wide range”; support can differ by challenge version.

Its Terms of Service say use must be exclusively authorized and legal and list spam, illegal access, and brute forcing among prohibited acts. The terms are a gating requirement, not a general permission to automate third-party sites.

Anti-Captcha: extensive task controls and queue visibility

Anti-Captcha’s API documentation covers classic image tasks and multiple interactive CAPTCHA task types. It documents methods for creating tasks, retrieving results, checking account balance, viewing queue statistics, and reporting results.

The extra balance and queue methods are useful for a QA scheduler: you can stop dispatching work when funds or capacity are insufficient and expose queue conditions in test telemetry. Reporting methods can help correct a bad result when the provider’s rules call for feedback, but they do not guarantee a refund or a successful retry.

Read the service agreement before deployment. It describes a limited license for internal business purposes and includes service disclaimers. That language matters if you are building a product for customers rather than running tests for your own organization.

CapSolver: API plus agent and browser-automation integrations

CapSolver documents multiple challenge types and integrations with agents and browser-automation workflows. Its getting-started guide presents the familiar sequence of submitting a task and retrieving its result, while the broader API documentation describes the supported integrations.

This combination is a practical fit when your test harness already uses a browser runner or an agent framework and you want the solver step represented as a task in that workflow. Keep the solver call on the server side; do not expose credentials or internal task payloads to the page being tested.

CapSolver’s compliance statement prohibits listed illegal or abusive uses, including spam, advertising or click fraud, and fake account or content creation. Any price, speed, or uptime statement found in vendor material should be treated as vendor-reported and rechecked before you make a procurement decision.

captcha-solver: anti-captcha-compatible API shape

The captcha-solver introduction describes an API compatible with the anti-captcha createTask/getTaskResult pattern, lists supported challenge categories, and provides SDK information.

Compatibility can reduce adapter work if your harness already models tasks using those method names. It does not mean payloads, error codes, challenge coverage, or service terms are identical, so run a small authorized contract test against every task type you intend to use.

The available documentation does not establish independent performance, commercial terms, or affiliate status. Obtain those details directly from the provider before committing production test capacity.

AZcaptcha: documented QA and CI/CD use cases

AZcaptcha’s support page explicitly lists QA test automation, monitoring, accessibility testing, CI/CD pipelines, data migration, and compliance auditing as use cases. It also lists several challenge categories and presents timing and credit claims.

That stated use-case range may appeal to teams building a repeatable test service rather than a one-off script. Map your own controls to the page’s current task list and verify whether the challenge in your staging environment is included.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Timing and credit figures on a vendor support page are vendor-published claims, not independent measurements. If you cite or budget from them, record the page date and confirm whether the allowance is recurring, promotional, or tied to a particular task type; the available material does not establish a cross-provider price or speed comparison.

iacaptcha: webhooks, balances, and browser extensions

iacaptcha’s documentation describes task submission and result retrieval, balance checks, webhooks, browser extensions, and supported task types. Webhooks can remove polling overhead for event-driven test runners, while balance checks allow a scheduler to fail fast before creating work it cannot fund.

Use the browser extension only in an approved test browser profile and keep the extension separate from employee or customer profiles. For server-side automation, prefer the documented API and webhook flow so credentials and callback validation remain under your control.

How should you choose among the six without an independent benchmark?

Use a requirements matrix and eliminate services that fail a hard requirement. A simple scoring process is more defensible than treating the word “best” as a universal ranking.

  1. List exact challenge types. Record the CAPTCHA family, version, site-key or image requirements, and whether your test uses a browser, API-only flow, or both.
  2. Mark integration constraints. Note your programming language, CI runner, browser framework, callback requirements, proxy policy, maximum test duration, and need for balance or queue visibility.
  3. Check legal and contractual fit. Read the current terms for internal testing, customer-facing software, data processing, prohibited activity, and retention. Obtain written approval from the site owner for every domain you test.
  4. Run a controlled pilot. Use a staging challenge designed for automation. Measure your own end-to-end completion time, failure reasons, retries, and cost per completed test over a representative window. Label those results as your environment’s measurements.
  5. Design a provider-neutral adapter. Keep task creation, polling, webhook handling, and error mapping behind an interface. This lets you change provider when a challenge version, policy, or availability changes.

Do not select on an unverified price, speed, accuracy, or uptime claim. The cited material does not provide a fair, independent cross-provider benchmark, and vendor figures may change by region, task type, or date.

What commonly fails during CAPTCHA automation, and how can you fix it?

The task stays in processing

Check queue status where the provider exposes it, increase polling intervals with exponential backoff, and enforce a deadline. If the deadline expires, mark the test as inconclusive and retain the task ID for diagnosis instead of submitting unlimited duplicates.

The returned answer is rejected

Verify the site key, page URL, challenge type, browser session, and token age. A response created for one page or challenge instance may not be valid for another. Capture the site’s rejection code and correlate it with the provider task ID.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A webhook is never received

Confirm that the endpoint is publicly reachable over HTTPS from the provider, returns a timely success response, and accepts the provider’s content type. Validate signatures or shared secrets when documented, reject duplicates safely, and keep a polling fallback only if the provider permits it.

Costs or balances change unexpectedly

Separate account-balance alerts from test assertions, inspect which task types consume credits, and stop new submissions when a budget threshold is reached. Do not infer recurring prices or free allowances from a one-time promotion or an undated support statement.

The test begins affecting real users

Stop the run, revoke exposed keys, and disable the automation account. Restrict test data and domains at the runner level, use staging CAPTCHA keys where available, and require a human approval gate before any production-domain test.

What are the compliance and security boundaries?

CAPTCHA controls are intended to distinguish permitted automation from unwanted or abusive traffic. A solver API is a technical component, not an authorization mechanism. The provider policies cited above prohibit various abusive activities, and site owners may impose additional rules.

  • Obtain explicit permission covering the domain, test purpose, account population, traffic volume, and schedule.
  • Use synthetic or consented data; avoid sending personal information in screenshots, task payloads, or logs.
  • Keep API keys server-side, rotate them after team changes, and apply least-privilege access to CI secrets.
  • Rate-limit both the solver API and the site under test. A successful solve does not justify high-volume requests.
  • Document challenge versions, provider terms, and your test evidence so an auditor can reproduce the decision.

If a provider’s current terms or documentation do not clearly cover your use case, pause and obtain clarification rather than assuming the API is allowed.

What is the practical verdict?

There is no evidence here for a universal winner. 2Captcha is notable for broad documented coverage and language clients; Anti-Captcha for task, queue, balance, and feedback methods; CapSolver for agent and browser-automation integrations; captcha-solver for an anti-captcha-compatible task pattern; AZcaptcha for explicitly listed QA and CI/CD scenarios; and iacaptcha for webhooks, balance checks, and extension support. Select the service that passes your challenge-coverage, integration, and authorization tests, then keep a provider-neutral fallback because documentation and challenge support can change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a CAPTCHA-solving API on a public website I do not operate?

Not merely because the API can return a solution. Obtain permission from the website owner, follow its rules and applicable law, and confirm that the provider’s agreement allows your exact activity; otherwise do not run the automation.

Should my test runner poll for results or use webhooks?

Use webhooks when your provider documents them and you can authenticate and deduplicate callbacks reliably. Polling is simpler for a small harness, but add backoff, a hard timeout, and a safe inconclusive state rather than repeated rapid requests.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How can I compare solver accuracy fairly?

Create the same authorized staging challenges for each candidate and measure completed tests, rejection reasons, end-to-end time, retries, and cost over a representative period. Publish the environment, date, challenge mix, and methodology because vendor documentation does not provide an independent benchmark.

What should I do if a provider changes its supported CAPTCHA types?

Keep task creation behind an adapter, monitor documentation or release notices, and run a contract test in CI against every challenge type you depend on. If a test fails, pause affected jobs and switch to an approved fallback instead of silently retrying a now-unsupported task.
