The confirmed Miami “Welcome to Vice City” display is a temporary installation on the roof of Kaseya Center at 601 Biscayne Boulevard. It is GTA VI promotion, not a public rooftop attraction: visitors should view it from lawful public areas or from a ticketed event and must not attempt to enter restricted roof space. Parking near the arena is limited, admission is required to enter the building, and camera rules depend on the event.
For the least complicated visit, use an approved drop-off point or public transportation, check the event’s current instructions, and treat the sign as temporary. A separate illuminated “VICE” sign mapped near Miami International Airport is not confirmed as a real-world installation.

Where is the real Vice City sign in Miami?
The confirmed installation is on the Kaseya Center roof, 601 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida 33132. CBS Miami reported on September 22, 2026, that large letters spelling “Welcome to Vice City” were being installed as part of Rockstar’s GTA VI marketing and could be visible from the air.
The display’s temporary status matters. Current reporting confirms the installation but does not publish a removal date or establish that it will become a permanent landmark. Its visibility, lighting and continued existence can therefore change without notice.

Nothing in the venue’s public information creates a right to climb onto the roof or approach the letters. The roof is part of a functioning arena and may be restricted property even when the sign is visible from outside. Stay in public areas, follow posted signs and directions from venue or security staff, and do not cross barriers for a closer photograph.
Can you visit the Welcome to Vice City sign?
You can look for the sign from a lawful exterior vantage point, but ordinary visitors cannot treat the roof as an attraction. Entering Kaseya Center itself requires a valid event ticket, and the arena enforces a no-re-entry policy.
Kaseya Center’s guest FAQ states: “All guests entering the Kaseya Center must have a valid event ticket to gain admission.” It also states: “Kaseya Center enforces a ‘No Re-Entry Policy.’” Those rules apply to entering the venue; they do not turn the rooftop display into a publicly accessible viewing deck.
A ticketed event may provide an interior sightline or a view from surrounding approaches, subject to the building’s security and the event’s layout. A ticket does not authorize access to closed areas, the roof or production spaces. If the sign is your only objective, confirm that the event and current venue instructions offer a plausible view before buying admission.
What is the best way to get near Kaseya Center?
Nearby parking is constrained because adjacent lots have been permanently eliminated. Kaseya Center advises visitors to consider other lots within walking distance or public transportation rather than assuming a space will be available beside the arena.
Rideshare drop-off
The official rideshare location is the corner of Bayshore Drive and HEAT Boulevard. Use Gate 6 for entry after being dropped off. Drivers should follow the venue’s current traffic directions instead of stopping in a travel lane or an area marked for emergency access.

Bus, taxi and limousine drop-off
Bus drop-off is at Gate 3 on NE 8th Street, next to the box-office windows. Taxi and limousine drop-off also use Gate 3. These points are intended for passenger loading and unloading, not long-term parking.
Accessible drop-off
Gate 3 is the primary accessible drop-off location and Gate 4 is the secondary location. Elevators inside the building connect guests to seating levels. Event-day traffic control can change the practical approach, so confirm the current instructions with Kaseya Center if a mobility accommodation is important.
Public transportation
The venue’s published transit route is:
- Take MetroRail to Government Center Station.
- Transfer to the MetroMover Omni Loop.
- Exit at Park West Station.
- Walk east to Biscayne Boulevard and continue toward the arena.
This option avoids the uncertainty of nearby parking. Allow extra time for the transfer, the walk and event-day crowds.
Advance parking passes
Kaseya Center says advance parking passes may be purchased online for most non-HEAT events, but availability is event-specific. A pass for one event should not be assumed to apply to another date, and a nearby lot should not be treated as guaranteed without checking the event’s current directions.

Where can you legally stop or park for a photo?
Use marked legal spaces or designated drop-off areas and walk to a public viewpoint. Do not stop on a limited-access facility or its shoulder except under the narrow disabled-vehicle exception described in the county code. A quick photograph is not an exception to a posted restriction.
Do not park in a space barred by official signs, a travel lane, a loading zone or an area reserved for authorized vehicles. If a police officer, traffic controller or venue employee directs vehicles elsewhere, follow that direction even if a map application suggests a shorter stop.

Miami’s Article 10 zoning rules address sign placement, design quality, safety, maintenance and streetscape effects. They regulate the sign; they do not grant visitors permission to enter private property or a restricted rooftop.
What are the photography rules at Kaseya Center?
Camera policy depends on both the event and the equipment. Rules published for Miami HEAT home games are not a blanket permission for concerts, special events or exterior commercial work.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteMiami HEAT home games
Kaseya Center says small Instamatic and digital cameras may be allowed for HEAT home games when they have fixed or detachable lenses no longer than six inches. The six-inch limit is the venue’s listed maximum for that category, not a promise that every camera meeting it will be admitted; security screening and event instructions still apply.
Equipment listed as prohibited
The venue lists the following as prohibited:
- Professional camera equipment
- Auxiliary lenses
- Tripods and monopods
- Video or audio recording devices
- Drones
- Selfie sticks
These restrictions make a phone or small permitted camera more practical than a full photo kit. A drone is not an alternative viewing method: it creates both venue-security and airspace concerns and is expressly prohibited by the venue’s policy.
Concerts and other special events
Still-camera rules for concerts and special events are decided event by event. A camera that was accepted at a HEAT game may be refused at a concert, playoff event or private booking. Check the event-specific policy before arriving rather than relying on the standard HEAT wording.
Bags and screening
The standard venue policy does not permit bags larger than 10 by 6 by 2 inches, subject to listed medical and infant-bag exceptions. A camera bag that exceeds those dimensions can be refused even if the camera itself meets the event’s lens rule. Carry only what the applicable event policy allows and be prepared for inspection.

Can a professional photographer arrange access?
Professional and commercial work requires a separate review. Kaseya Center says the request must be submitted for approval, the subject matter must be pre-approved, and written permission is required to film the venue, team, sponsor or NBA intellectual property.
The venue’s commercial-shoot policy says: “Due to Kaseya Center security protocol, no interior or exterior photo/video shoot access will be granted on event or game days.” That restriction applies even to an otherwise legitimate commercial project. A crew should not arrive with lighting, tripods or other production equipment expecting to negotiate access at the gate.
The venue’s booking page says review of a photo/video inquiry may take up to two business days. Approval is not automatic, and availability depends on the calendar and the requested subject. Contact Kaseya Center in advance and obtain written confirmation of the permitted areas, date, equipment and intellectual-property rights.
Which viewing option fits your goal?
The choice is mainly between a lawful exterior sightline and ticketed venue access. Neither option guarantees that the temporary letters will still be installed or visible on a particular day.

What should you check before leaving?
Because this is a temporary promotion and arena operations change, use this checklist on the day of your visit:
- Confirm that the “Welcome to Vice City” letters are still installed and determine whether they are visible from your intended public viewpoint.
- Check the Kaseya Center event page for the date’s entry, traffic, parking and camera instructions.
- If driving, identify a legal lot or street space in advance; do not assume a former adjacent lot remains open.
- If using rideshare, give the driver the official Bayshore Drive and HEAT Boulevard location and enter through Gate 6.
- For bus, taxi or limousine service, use Gate 3 on NE 8th Street; accessible drop-off is at Gate 3, with Gate 4 as the secondary location.
- Measure a detachable lens and camera bag before an event. The HEAT-game lens limit is six inches, and the standard bag limit is 10 x 6 x 2 inches, with stated exceptions.
- Leave tripods, monopods, drones, selfie sticks and professional production equipment at home unless written event or venue approval expressly covers them.
- Plan to remain outside restricted areas and obey signs, barriers and staff instructions.
Is the Vice City airport sign real?
No real-world Miami airport sign has been confirmed by the reviewed official information. An independent location guide maps a separate illuminated “VICE” sign near the airport as a community identification and says no official real-world address has been published.

That mapped location should not be presented as a verified GTA VI landmark or as an alternative entrance to Kaseya Center. The roof display at Kaseya Center is the confirmed Miami installation; the airport-side identification remains unverified.
Why can the details change?
The letters are temporary, and the venue can alter traffic routes, parking arrangements, bag screening and camera rules for a particular event. A sign that is visible during one week may be removed, covered or difficult to see later. Event-day security can also close a normally convenient approach.
Recheck the installation, any lighting or removal information, the event schedule, parking availability and the applicable camera policy immediately before traveling. Treat current venue instructions as controlling over older social posts, map pins or fan guides.
How we determined the practical guidance
The guidance separates facts confirmed by Kaseya Center and current Miami reporting from unverified fan mapping. It prioritizes lawful public viewing, official transportation directions, county parking restrictions, event-specific camera rules and the venue’s written commercial-shoot requirements. Where no permanent status, removal date or airport address is established, the article does not assume one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the rooftop letters be lit every night?
No published schedule confirms when the display is illuminated. Visibility can depend on the installation’s operating plans, weather and surrounding light, so a daytime sightline should not be treated as proof of nighttime visibility.
Can a commercial approval let me onto the roof?
Not by itself. Any permission would need to identify the specific approved areas and conditions in writing, and ordinary venue approval does not override restricted-property or safety controls.
What if a parking map shows an open lot beside the arena?
Verify the lot with the event’s current instructions before relying on it. Kaseya Center says nearby options have been reduced, and map listings can remain visible after access or event arrangements change.
How far ahead should a photo-production request be submitted?
The venue says review of a photo/video inquiry may take up to two business days. That is a review timeframe, not a guaranteed booking, so submit earlier when the date, crew or intellectual-property requirements are significant.
