There is no single League of Legends soundtrack album. Riot’s music is split across four connected catalogs: the virtual groups HEARTSTEEL, K/DA, Pentakill and True Damage; the yearly Worlds anthems; champion and event themes; and the creator-focused Sessions releases. The most reliable way to hear everything is to use Riot’s Media hub as the current index, then follow each act or song to an authorized platform. For videos and streams, use Riot’s Spotify or SoundCloud Creator-Safe playlists rather than assuming any League song is cleared for reuse.

What is included in the League of Legends music catalog?

Think of the catalog as several related libraries rather than one game soundtrack. Each has a different purpose, release pattern and copyright situation.

Catalog What it contains How it is organized Best starting point
Virtual music groups HEARTSTEEL, K/DA, Pentakill and True Damage, with champion-character lineups and genre tags Act, single, video and album releases Riot’s Media hub, then the act’s authorized platform page
Worlds anthems The annual League of Legends World Championship song sequence Chronological yearly releases, separate from band albums The Worlds entries in Riot’s music index
Champion and event themes Champion reveals, login-style themes, cinematics and event music Individual champion or event entries Riot’s current Media hub
Sessions Long-form, creator-oriented instrumental projects such as Vi, Diana and Star Guardian Taliyah Sessions Project or album, with artist and track listings Riot Games Music’s Sessions page

Riot’s pages change as new videos, anthems and albums arrive. Treat the Media and Sessions pages as live indexes, not a permanently complete playlist copied elsewhere.

How do I find every official League music release?

Use this workflow whenever you want the newest material or need to verify that a recording is official.

Arcane League of Legends (Soundtrack from the Animated Series)
  • Riot Games presents the Arcane League of Legends soundtrack from the animated series. You can now take home the pulse-pounding soundtrack from the hit Netflix series for the first time on vinyl. Delve deep into the elaborate soundscape that helped push the conflict between Piltover and Zaun to its zenith during the first season. The 16-track album features mega hit, "Enemy" by Imagine Dragons and JID, and tracks from musical powerhouses Woodkid, Denzel Curry, Jazmine Sullivan, PVRIS, Sting, Pusha T and more. Available on black vinyl with 24"x36" fold-out poster included....

  1. Open Riot’s Media hub. It is the current index for official music videos, lyric videos, choreography releases, champion themes and event entries. At the current 2026-10-25 update, it includes K/DA’s “FIRESTARTER” and “WATCH ME,” HEARTSTEEL’s “Live My Life,” the 2026 Worlds anthem and the Locke champion theme.
  2. Choose a catalog. Search the page for the group name, “Worlds,” a champion, an event or “Sessions.” Do not mix an annual Worlds anthem into a band’s album chronology.
  3. Follow the authorized platform listing. Search the exact act and song title on the service Riot links, then check that the uploader is Riot Games or the artist-authorized account. Fan uploads, sped-up edits and re-uploads can have different rights.
  4. Check the release date and region. Streaming catalogs and videos can vary by country and can be replaced or re-uploaded. If a result is unavailable, return to Riot’s index instead of relying on an unofficial mirror.
  5. For creator use, verify the playlist separately. A track’s presence in a League video does not make it creator-safe. Check the Spotify or SoundCloud Creator-Safe Playlist before adding music to a monetized video or livestream.

What are the four principal League of Legends music groups?

The four named virtual acts are HEARTSTEEL, K/DA, Pentakill and True Damage. Riot’s music index identifies each group’s champion-character members and genre, so use that entry for the current lineup when a character has been added, removed or reintroduced.

Act Format and identity Examples currently surfaced by Riot Video availability Creator-use note
HEARTSTEEL Virtual group with a character lineup and genre profile in Riot’s music index “Live My Life” Riot’s Media hub currently links the official release Do not infer clearance from the official video; verify the Creator-Safe Playlist
K/DA Virtual group with a character lineup and genre profile in Riot’s music index “FIRESTARTER” and “WATCH ME” Current official videos and related releases are indexed by Riot Riot specifically names K/DA as generally not clearable for streamers and creators outside the safe playlist
Pentakill Virtual group with a character lineup and genre profile in Riot’s music index Search the current act entry for its releases Use Riot’s index to distinguish official videos from fan uploads Check the playlist or obtain permission before reuse
True Damage Virtual group with a character lineup and genre profile in Riot’s music index “GIANTS” and “Breakout” Use Riot’s linked official pages for video and audio versions Riot specifically identifies True Damage as generally not clearable outside the safe playlist

How should I listen to HEARTSTEEL?

Start with the HEARTSTEEL entry in Riot’s Media hub and open “Live My Life.” From there, use the linked official artist or platform page to locate the audio version and any additional releases. Confirm the uploader before saving a playlist, because a similarly named fan channel is not proof of authorization.

How should I listen to K/DA?

Riot’s current Media hub highlights “FIRESTARTER” and “WATCH ME,” making it the safest place to begin. Follow each title to the official platform listing, and keep ordinary listening separate from creator use: Riot says K/DA recordings generally cannot be cleared for streamer or creator use unless they are offered through the Creator-Safe Playlist.

How should I listen to Pentakill?

Use the Pentakill act page in Riot’s index to see the current character lineup, genre label and release links. Because the available catalog can change by platform and territory, search the exact title from Riot’s page rather than assuming that an old video or compilation represents the complete discography.

What songs represent True Damage?

Riot’s reference material documents “GIANTS” and “Breakout.” Listen through the official links attached to the True Damage entry, and treat those recordings as ordinary copyrighted music unless the specific track appears in Riot’s Creator-Safe Playlist or you have separate permission.

What is the Worlds anthem sequence?

Worlds anthems are an annual esports chronology, not a fifth virtual band and not one album. The sequence begins with “WARRIORS” in 2014 and reaches the current “Know My Name” entry for 2026. Riot’s index is the authoritative place to move through every intervening year.

To build a complete Worlds playlist, select only the yearly Worlds entries and sort by release year. Keep alternate videos, live performances and regional uploads beneath the canonical song so that your chronology does not accidentally count the same anthem more than once. Since Riot can add a new anthem or update a video after a season, refresh the index before publishing a playlist or guide.

Why keep Worlds songs separate from the groups?

A Worlds anthem may feature outside performers or a one-off collaboration rather than one of Riot’s recurring fictional acts. Separating the categories prevents a championship song from being mislabeled as a K/DA, HEARTSTEEL, Pentakill or True Damage release and makes year-by-year listening straightforward.

Where are champion themes and event soundtracks listed?

Riot’s Media hub is the current release index for champion themes, cinematics and event music. It currently places the Locke champion theme alongside the K/DA and HEARTSTEEL videos, illustrating why the page is more useful than an old “soundtrack album” search.

Use the champion or event name as your search term, then open the entry marked as an official Riot release. Champion themes are usually made in-house or with direct partners, while collaborations involving outside artists and labels can have more complicated ownership. That difference matters when you plan to reuse a track, even if both recordings appear on the same Riot page.

What are Sessions, and how do I listen to them?

Sessions is Riot Games Music’s creator-oriented project. The index includes Vi Sessions, Diana Sessions and Star Guardian Taliyah Sessions, among other projects. The current Sessions page describes Star Guardian Taliyah as a 29-track album by 16 artists and states that it is free to use in creator content.

Open the Sessions page, choose a project and review its complete track list before downloading or streaming. “Free to use” applies to the stated creator-content program and its conditions; it is not a blanket license for every League recording. Keep the project’s artist and song credits with your upload, and check the current terms if the content is sponsored, sold or otherwise commercial.

Which services are best for listening?

Use Riot’s own pages to find the current authorized destination, then choose the service that fits your purpose.

  • Riot Media hub: Best for official music videos, lyric and choreography releases, champion themes, event entries and newly added songs.
  • Spotify: Riot’s Spotify Creator-Safe Playlist is the convenient option for checking whether a track is approved for creator use. A normal Spotify result is not automatically safe for a stream.
  • SoundCloud: Riot’s SoundCloud Creator-Safe Playlist is also intended for creators, and Riot says that playlist is download-enabled. Download access does not expand the license beyond the playlist’s stated conditions.
  • Other official platform pages: Follow the platform link attached to a Riot entry and verify the Riot or artist-authorized uploader. Availability can differ by region and may change without notice.

How can I avoid an unofficial upload?

Match the exact title, featured artists and artwork shown on Riot’s page. Check the account name, description and release information; if those details conflict, use the link from Riot rather than the search result. A fan-made lyric video, remix or “no copyright” label is not a substitute for an authorization statement.

Can I use League music in a stream or YouTube video?

Only use tracks covered by Riot’s Creator-Safe Playlist or tracks for which you have direct permission or a suitable license. Riot explains that champion themes are often produced in-house or with direct partners, but outside-artist and label collaborations can carry rights Riot cannot clear for general creator use. Riot specifically cites K/DA and True Damage as examples that it generally cannot clear outside the safe playlist.

Riot’s stated guidance is to search the Spotify or SoundCloud Creator-Safe Playlists, include song and artist credits, and obtain permission when a track is not listed. The playlist is track-specific: a favorite League song outside it may require a separate license even when another song from the same group is approved.

“In general, content that uses music from the Creator-Safe playlist only can be monetized if it adheres to Riot’s Legal Jibber Jabber, the guidelines above, and as long as your content isn’t commercially exploiting the music that is being offered.” — Riot Ashekandi, Riot Games, 2020-08-07

What should I do before publishing?

  1. Open the current Spotify or SoundCloud Creator-Safe Playlist and search the exact recording, not just the group name.
  2. Save the song title, artist and any required attribution wording.
  3. Place those credits in your video description, stream panel or other location required by Riot’s guidelines.
  4. Check whether your project is monetized, sponsored, licensed to a client or otherwise commercially exploiting the music.
  5. If the track is absent or the use falls outside the stated terms, request permission or choose a listed Sessions track instead.
  6. Keep a dated screenshot or note of the playlist entry and terms in case the catalog changes before a later upload.

What if a song disappears or a platform gives me a copyright claim?

  • The video is unavailable in your country: Return to Riot’s Media hub and look for an authorized platform listing in your region. Do not replace it with a re-upload solely because it plays in search.
  • The song is on a normal streaming page but not the creator-safe playlist: Treat it as uncleared for your project and request permission or select another track.
  • A claim appears on a listed track: Confirm that you used the exact recording and followed the current credit and content rules. Keep proof of the playlist listing, then use the platform’s dispute process only when your use actually fits Riot’s terms.
  • A download is available but the license is unclear: Downloadability on SoundCloud is a distribution feature, not an automatic commercial license. Recheck the playlist conditions before uploading.
  • A new release is missing from an old playlist: Catalogs are updated over time. Refresh Riot’s Media and Sessions pages and use the newest published guidance.

How do I maintain a complete League music playlist?

Create four folders: “Virtual groups,” “Worlds by year,” “Champion and event themes” and “Sessions.” Record the official title, release year, platform link, uploader and creator-use status for each entry. Review the folders whenever Riot publishes a new Media-hub video, a Worlds anthem or an updated Sessions project; this keeps listening history and reuse rights from being mixed together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is a League song on YouTube but missing from the Creator-Safe Playlist?

Public availability and creator permission are separate. Riot may host or promote a recording while lacking the rights to clear it for general streams, especially when outside artists or labels are involved.

Can I use a downloaded SoundCloud Creator-Safe track in a podcast?

Download access does not by itself authorize every format. Check the playlist’s current conditions and Riot’s creator guidelines for podcast distribution, crediting and commercial use before publishing.

Do Worlds anthems become part of a band’s official discography?

No. Worlds songs are annual event releases and should remain in a year-based playlist, even when a virtual group or recurring performer appears in the video.

How often should I recheck Riot’s music pages?

Recheck before a major upload, livestream series or playlist publication. New releases, annual anthems, playlist membership and regional availability can all change after an earlier link was saved.
