How do you install it on Xbox Series X|S?
- Sign in to the correct Xbox account. Use the account that has an eligible Game Pass plan. If other people use the console, verify the active profile before searching; a subscription on a different profile may be why the listing does not show the expected option.

Cloud play is useful if you want to avoid a large local download or your device cannot install the Series X|S version. It is not the same as a local installation: the game is streamed, so your experience depends on a supported device and a high-speed connection. You will also need a compatible controller where the device does not provide built-in game controls. An Xbox Wireless Controller may be an option if you do not already have a compatible one, but it is not required if you have another supported controller.
Do not assume that every device and plan combination will show the same cloud option. Check the play control while signed into the account you intend to use. A cloud-capability notice on a general Game Pass page is not enough to establish access to this particular title; check the title’s current listing and the actual option available to your account.
Why does Xbox ask you to buy it?

Digital Deluxe is a separate store edition, not a prerequisite for the Yuffie episode included with Intergrade. If you are choosing between playing through Game Pass and buying an edition, the key difference is whether you want to own a store copy rather than access the game through the subscription. Do not purchase Deluxe solely to obtain the included episode.
A January digital-purchase bonus tied to the original Final Fantasy VII ended on January 31, 2026.
