Equip the DJ Sona skin in your champion loadout before a match, then cycle its three music modes in game by typing /toggle in chat or pressing Ctrl+5. The modes are Kinetic, Concussive, and Ethereal; each changes DJ Sona’s music and presentation, not her gameplay abilities.
How do I equip DJ Sona before a match?
DJ Sona is an ultimate skin for Sona. Select it in your champion loadout before entering a match; switching modes is an in-game feature of the skin, so you do not need a physical product or separate device.

Riot Games Player Support listed the skin at 3,250 RP in 2025. Treat that as a dated listed price, not a guarantee of the current price or availability. Riot also listed three included icons, each with a unique summoner profile banner.
How do I switch DJ Sona’s music modes in game?
During a match, use either of Riot’s documented controls: type /toggle in chat or press Ctrl+5. The controls cycle through the three forms; they are not separate champion picks or gameplay abilities.
- Choose DJ Sona in your champion loadout before the match.
- Once the match is underway, press
Ctrl+5or enter/togglein chat. - Use the same control again to cycle to another form.
If the mode did not change, check that DJ Sona is the skin equipped for Sona and try the other documented control. The two options let you switch without navigating away from the match.

Can teammates hear or mute DJ Sona’s music?
Yes. A teammate can opt in or out using the toggle next to Sona’s champion portrait on the scoreboard. Riot says this listening option is for teammates, not enemies.
Each teammate controls whether the music plays for them, so one person’s choice does not require everyone else to listen. To lower or stop playback on your own client, open Sound Options and reduce Music Volume.

- For your own listening: select a form with
Ctrl+5or/toggle. - For a teammate’s listening: use the separate scoreboard toggle beside Sona’s portrait.
- For local volume: adjust Music Volume in Sound Options.
