The best AI agent for a business is usually the one that fits the systems where its work and data already live—and whose actions, permissions, and costs the organization can control. These six options serve different needs: some are low-code tools inside business suites, some are developer platforms, and others extend an existing enterprise application environment. No common benchmark in the cited product documentation establishes a single winner for accuracy, productivity, or return on investment.
Compare them by ecosystem fit, who will build and maintain the agent, what it can do, how it gets access, and how the organization will monitor it. The distinctions matter: an agent that retrieves information is a different risk from one that can edit records or send messages.

Which AI agent is best for my business?
Choose the platform that matches your existing applications, builders, workflows, and governance requirements. “Best” is a fit decision, not a universal ranking: these products differ in what they provide and in how much engineering or configuration a business must supply.
Use this shortlist to identify where to investigate first. It is not a claim that one product is more secure or more capable than another.

- AWS and developer-led operations: assess Amazon Bedrock AgentCore as managed infrastructure for deploying and operating agents built with different frameworks and models.
- ServiceNow workflows: assess AI Agent Studio if the work belongs in ServiceNow and its access-control and external-agent integration model fits your needs.
Before choosing, write down the actual task, the systems it touches, and whether the agent must only retrieve information or also take actions. Then check licensing, identity, permission boundaries, approvals, and monitoring for that specific workflow.
What are the main differences between the six platforms?
The biggest distinction is what each platform brings to the job: a low-code suite extension, a managed development and operations platform, a CRM agent environment, shared workspace agents, or a workflow-centric application tool. The table summarizes what the cited official documentation establishes; it does not score comparative quality.

How does each business AI agent fit?
Use the platform-specific differences below to decide whether a product is worth a closer evaluation. The documentation describes product capabilities, not proof that a particular implementation will be safe, accurate, or cost-effective.
Microsoft Copilot Studio: low-code agents across Microsoft channels
Copilot Studio agents can combine generative AI, knowledge, and actions. The documented integration options include workflows, connectors, REST APIs, MCP servers, and other agents, while deployment channels include Microsoft Teams, web, and enterprise applications. Microsoft also describes multiple harnesses for different kinds of work; the selected harness affects billing, features, and capabilities. Choose the harness before comparing functionality or costs, rather than assuming every agent uses the same configuration.
Microsoft separately documents Entra Agent ID as an identity and governance layer. Treat that as one part of the design, not a substitute for deciding what each agent can access and do. Microsoft’s agents overview describes these product elements.

Google Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform: low-code and code-based paths
Google describes an end-to-end platform that includes low-code Agent Studio, a code-based Agent Development Kit, managed runtime, model access, agent identity, gateway, governance, and observability. That breadth makes the key comparison less about a single builder and more about whether the organization wants a low-code route, custom development, or a mix of both.
Map the agent’s data access and identity before building. Then determine which gateway and governance controls will apply and what the team will inspect through observability. The platform overview documents those components, but does not establish that a particular configuration automatically protects a given workflow. See Google Cloud’s Agent Platform overview.
Salesforce Agentforce: check the Salesforce use case and entitlements
Agentforce is positioned across sales, service, marketing, commerce, Slack, and other business uses. Its licensing is not uniform: required editions and add-on licenses vary by agent type. Do not treat the product name alone as confirmation that a specific agent is included in a particular Salesforce environment.
Salesforce’s setup guidance describes planning, org setup, grounding, building, testing, deployment, and monitoring. Check the intended use case against the organization’s edition and exact add-on requirements before estimating availability or cost. The cited guidance is Salesforce Help: Design and Implement Agents.

Workspace agents can use apps, custom MCPs, skills, and files. Documentation says they can be published to an organization directory, connected to Slack, scheduled, or triggered through an API. App connections can authenticate as the end user or as an agent-owned connection, which is an important design choice: the agent’s effective access depends on the connection and its permissions.
OpenAI’s admin guidance recommends configuring identity, SSO/SCIM, groups, roles, access, security, compliance, monitoring, and spending controls before broad deployment. Write actions default to “Always ask,” and action constraints and least privilege remain important. The documentation warns that publishing with personal connections may expose the builder’s access through the agent. Amazon Bedrock AgentCore: managed agent operations for developers
AgentCore provides managed services for deploying and operating agents built using different frameworks and models. Its documented components include runtime, identity, gateway, code interpreter, browser, and observability services. That makes it a platform to evaluate when developers want AWS-managed infrastructure and operational components while retaining flexibility in the agent framework and model.
AgentCore does not, by itself, make the chosen workflow safe. The business still has to design the agent, define its permissions and tools, and test the behavior under the intended conditions. Estimate the engineering and AWS operations needed for that work as part of the decision. See the AgentCore developer guide and AWS AgentCore FAQs.
ServiceNow AI Agent Studio: workflow permissions and external agents
ServiceNow documents ACLs, identities, and role masking for AI-agent access controls, and supports external agents through A2A or manual configuration. Check permissions at the workflow, agent, and tool levels; an appropriately scoped agent does not remove the need to review the permissions of the underlying workflow and tools.
For an external agent, review credential scope and whether it is discoverable to the intended users. The cited security documentation is release-specific: the “Security for AI agents” page is for the Australia release and was updated 2025-09-11; “External AI agent security” was updated 2026-03-26. Confirm that the guidance matches the ServiceNow release in use. See Security for AI agents and External AI agent security.
How should I compare business AI agents?
Compare the platforms against one concrete workflow, not a generic feature checklist. The following questions expose differences that can be missed when teams focus only on demonstrations.
Where do the work and data already live?
Start with the systems employees already use and the authoritative location of the information involved. A Microsoft, Google Cloud, Salesforce, ServiceNow, AWS, or shared ChatGPT workspace environment may change which integrations and administrative controls are practical. Make a list of the records, files, and tools the agent needs; then verify that the candidate supports the required access path.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Who will build and maintain the agent?
Decide whether business administrators will configure it with low-code tools, developers will build it with an SDK or framework, or both groups will share responsibility. “Low-code” does not mean “no ownership”: someone still needs to maintain data connections, actions, permissions, testing, and escalation paths. Conversely, a developer platform may offer flexibility while requiring more engineering and operations.
What actions can the agent take?
Classify every intended capability by its consequence. Retrieving information is not equivalent to executing a workflow, and executing a workflow is not equivalent to sending, editing, approving, or deleting information. For any write action, identify what approval is required, what constraints apply, and how an error can be detected and reversed.
How are identity and permissions assigned?
Find out whether the agent acts with an individual’s credentials, a dedicated agent identity, or a service account. Check whether access is limited to the specific data and tools required, whether it can be reviewed, and who is accountable for changes. OpenAI documents both end-user and agent-owned app authentication; Google, AWS, and Microsoft document agent identity-related components; ServiceNow describes ACLs, identities, and role masking. Those mechanisms are not interchangeable, so evaluate them in the platform and workflow where they will actually be configured.
What governance and monitoring will operators have?
Before rollout, determine who can create and publish agents, who can use them, what activity can be monitored, how exceptions reach a human, and who can suspend or change an agent. Check audit and runtime visibility in the product configuration rather than inferring them from a general vendor security statement. A list of product controls is not proof that your deployment has those controls enabled or correctly scoped.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How do I set up an AI agent securely?
Define the task and its boundaries before connecting tools or granting permissions. A controlled pilot should use a low-impact task, keep a human in the review loop where actions can affect business data or people, and expand access only after operators understand what the agent does.

- Write a bounded task statement. Specify the intended user, workflow, data sources, expected output, and what the agent must not do. Separate information retrieval from actions that change a record, send a message, or trigger a business process.
- Name an owner and an escalation route. Assign responsibility for the agent, its connections, access reviews, and incident response. Decide who investigates an unexpected action and who can pause or disable the agent.
- Map tools, data, and permissions. Inventory each source and action the agent needs. Grant only the required scope; check permissions at the workflow, agent, and tool layers where the platform supports them.
- Choose credentials deliberately. Determine whether the agent should use a user’s access or a dedicated agent identity or service account. Prefer appropriately limited agent-owned credentials where the workflow allows them; avoid publishing an agent in a way that exposes a builder’s broader personal access.
- Set action controls and human approvals. Constrain write actions to the specific operations the task needs. In ChatGPT Workspace Agents, write actions default to “Always ask”; do not assume that prompt or any comparable control is configured the same way in another product.
- Configure administration and monitoring. Set who can build, publish, and use agents; establish identity, groups, roles, security and compliance settings, spending controls, and monitoring as applicable. Verify the settings in the actual workspace or cloud environment.
- Test with a low-impact pilot. Try normal cases, missing or ambiguous inputs, denied access, and actions that should require approval. Review what the agent accessed and attempted, and confirm that a human can resolve exceptions.
- Expand only after review. Assess the pilot’s behavior and operational burden before increasing users, data access, or action scope. Keep an escalation and change process in place after deployment.
For ChatGPT Enterprise and Business, OpenAI’s guidance specifically recommends setting up identity, SSO/SCIM, groups, roles, access, security, compliance, monitoring, and spending controls before broad deployment. Its agent documentation also highlights the risk of personal connections and the default approval prompt for write actions. See the admin quickstart and Workspace Agents guidance.
What should a business avoid when choosing an agent?
The most common decision errors come from treating different products as equivalent or assuming that a documented feature guarantees a safe result. Watch for these traps:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →- Picking a winner from feature lists: features do not establish comparative accuracy, productivity, or return on investment. The cited official materials provide no shared benchmark across the six platforms.
- Assuming a product name includes the needed license: Salesforce editions and add-ons vary by agent type; check entitlements for the specific use case.
- Comparing costs without matching configurations: harness, edition, add-ons, region, volume, and usage can change the relevant cost basis. Obtain a current quote for the planned setup.
- Giving an agent a person’s broad access: personal connections may make the builder’s access available through a published agent. Use least privilege and review the effective access of the identity actually used.
- Assuming a managed platform secures the workflow automatically: infrastructure and governance components do not replace task-level testing, permission design, or operational ownership.
- Relying on documentation for a different release: ServiceNow’s cited security guide is Australia-release-specific, so verify version applicability in your instance.
Is there a clear overall winner?
No defensible overall winner emerges from the available official documentation. The six products address different ecosystems and levels of technical ownership, and the cited sources do not provide a common accuracy, productivity, security, or ROI benchmark. Select a candidate based on the workflow and controls you need, then validate it in a limited pilot before expanding deployment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use more than one of these AI agent platforms in the same business?
Yes, an organization can evaluate different platforms for distinct systems or workflows, but the cited documentation does not establish a universal cross-platform management layer. Set ownership, identity, access review, and incident procedures for each deployment rather than assuming governance carries over between products.
Can I compare these platforms using an accuracy or ROI score?
Not from the official materials cited here: they do not establish a shared benchmark or named outcome statistic for comparing these six products. A business would need to define its own task-specific evaluation and measure results under comparable conditions.
Does a managed runtime mean my team does not need developers?
No. For example, AWS describes AgentCore as managed services for deploying and operating agents, while the team still has to build the agent and make workflow-specific decisions. The appropriate level of engineering depends on the platform and task.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Why might two companies get different licensing answers for the same agent product?
Entitlements can depend on the product configuration and use case: Salesforce says edition and add-on requirements vary by agent type, and Microsoft says harness selection affects billing, features, and capabilities. Ask the vendor to confirm the requirements for your specific workflow and region.
