The quickest way to verify a GTA 6 soundtrack claim is to check whether Rockstar has named the song on its official GTA VI music page, credited it in a trailer, or included it in an official station preview. If the only proof is a screenshot, anonymous post, or downloadable “leak,” call it unverified—not confirmed. As of Rockstar’s October 2026 rollout, the company has named nine album singles and previewed 18 songs across six radio stations, but it has not published the full radio playlists.
Use the steps below to assess a claim without downloading a leaked build. The key distinction is not simply whether a song has been heard somewhere: a trailer credit, a track in official footage, and a song confirmed for a particular in-game radio station are different claims.

Start with the original source, then check the claim against Rockstar’s public material and the song’s release history. A list that looks complete is not necessarily credible; a single independently checkable detail can be more useful than dozens of titles in an anonymous spreadsheet.
- Find the first identifiable poster. Look for a named journalist or a traceable post on a community forum, not just a screenshot being reposted. GTA Zone’s practical rule is: “A real leak leaves a trail.” If nobody can identify who posted it first or where it came from, treat it as false until there is evidence otherwise.
- Classify the source. A Rockstar or Take-Two announcement is official. Reporting by a named journalist with a record of accurate reporting is stronger than an anonymous leak account. An artist speaking on their own channel can establish an association with the game, but may not identify a track or station. A social screenshot without an attributable source is weak evidence.
- Check the exact claim on Rockstar’s music page and official videos. Match the title and artist, and note whether Rockstar named it as an album single, included it in a station preview, or credited it in a trailer. Those categories do not mean the same thing.
- Date any song heard in alleged gameplay. Compare its public release date with the alleged build date. A recording cannot be in a build made before that recording existed. By contrast, a video’s encoder version or file metadata is not reliable proof of when the game footage was captured.
- Look for independent corroboration. Ask whether a second named outlet or an official source has confirmed the same detail. Tech Insider’s useful checklist is: “Ask who said it, whether they have a track record, whether a second source backs it and whether the claim can be checked once the game ships.”
- Do not download anything to verify it. No soundtrack claim warrants installing an unknown launcher, opening a game archive, scanning a QR code, or paying cryptocurrency.
Keep your wording proportional to the evidence. “Rockstar credited the song in Trailer 2” is precise. “The song is confirmed on the radio” is not, unless Rockstar names the station or otherwise confirms that placement.

What is officially confirmed about GTA 6 music?
Rockstar’s music hub is the public benchmark. It describes its contents as: “Hear singles from the soundtrack and score, plus listen to samples from select in-game radio stations, and pre-order upcoming vinyl and CD releases.” The page currently establishes some music details, not the entire soundtrack or radio dial.
Confirmed public baseline, as of the October 2026 music rollout:

- Named album singles: The official page names nine tracks. The other 25 album titles have not been published.
- Original score: Justice composers Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay are credited with the score. Rockstar describes it as adaptive music dynamically tuned to different ways players engage with the game.
- Radio previews: Rockstar has previewed six stations and 18 songs—three per station. That is a selection, not the full lineup.
- Podcasts: Rockstar has announced on-demand podcasts and listening to radio and podcasts on foot via headphones or earbuds. The show names and hosts have not been published.
Which nine songs has Rockstar named for The Album?
These are official album singles, not confirmed station assignments. The announcement of the 34-track album was made by Rockstar; the named singles appear on the company’s music page.
- “That’s It” (feat. Future & Metro Boomin) — Yung Lean
- “RHYNO” — Travis Scott
- “Sexy Magic” — CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy
- “Flower in a Hurricane” (feat. Tame Impala, SZA, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard) — Justice
- “Last Thing You Need” — Morgan Wallen
- “Suzuki” — Fuerza Regida
- “Macacoa 2000” — Rauw Alejandro
- “Don’t Chart” — Cardi B
- “Bright Lights, Big City” — Keith Richards
Rockstar’s original announcement credits Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk as a producer on “RHYNO.” That is a production credit for a named album song; it does not establish that Daft Punk reunited to compose the score.
Which radio stations and songs has Rockstar previewed?
The six official previews span several genres. Hosts and performer identities below were reported as part of the rollout; the song examples were catalogued by secondary coverage. The distinction matters: a previewed song is stronger evidence of a radio appearance than an anonymous leak, but it still does not reveal every song on the station.
| Station | Format | On-air names | Three preview songs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cocoteo FM | Latin: reggaeton, bachata, merengue and dembow | El Martillo and La Gata; reported as Bad Bunny and RaiNao | “EoO”; “Si Es Trucho Es Trucho (Remix)”; “Canalla” |
| Back Country Radio | Renegade country | MW, Delta Dawne and Mud Dog Mike; reported as Morgan Wallen, Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene | “Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior”; “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’”; “The Conversation” |
| AfroBank FM | African classics, amapiano and 3-step | Burna and Palmsy; reported as Burna Boy and Palms Trax | “Joha”; “Gye Wani”; “Shay’sana” |
| The Chamber 106.6 | Classic metal | DJ Kerry and DJ Tom; reported as Kerry King and Tom Araya | “I”; “I’m Broken”; “Raining Blood” |
| Flash FM | Pop and dance | Robyn and Alex; reported as Robyn and Alex Consani | “Good Ones”; “Electric Feel”; “Midnight Sun (Girls Trip)” |
| Dirty South Classics | Southern rap and hip-hop | Trick and Trina; reported as Trick Daddy and Trina | “Like a Pimp”; “Who Dat”; “Born N Raised” |
Rockstar has also referred to stations spanning “Classic Rock to Talk Radio,” but talk radio was not one of these six previews. The company has not released the complete station roster or full playlists.

Do trailer songs mean they will be on the radio?
No. A trailer credit means Rockstar used or licensed the recording for that promotional video. It does not establish a station, DJ, mission trigger, regional edit, or continued radio rotation in the game. Rockstar credited Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” for Trailer 1 on 4 December 2023 and The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together” for Trailer 2 on 6 May 2025. Justice’s “Flower in a Hurricane,” featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, was used in the launch trailer on 15 October 2026 and is also an album/score single. Its multiple official uses do not, by themselves, name a station.
Some listeners and secondary outlets identified other brief music in Trailer 2, including “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” “Talkin’ To Myself Again,” “Child Support,” “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll,” and “Thunder Island.” Those are reported snippet identifications, not Rockstar’s official trailer credits.
What was identified in the Extended Look?
IGN and Polygon independently identified 14 songs in the 27 August 2026 Extended Look; VGKami and Rockstar Report compiled those identifications. They belong in the “identified in official footage” tier, not in a list of Rockstar-confirmed radio songs:

GameSpot and TechWiser also list a DRÆVEN track identified as “GTA 6 Theme Song” in that footage. Keep that as an identification, not a Rockstar announcement naming an official theme.
Is the CyberLeek GTA 6 soundtrack list confirmed?
No. TechWiser and GameSpot describe a 25-song document associated with unauthorized footage, but Rockstar has not confirmed the document or its tracklist. Reported overlap between some leaked titles and songs later appearing on Rockstar’s official Spotify playlist can strengthen the case for those individual titles; it does not confirm the remaining document or guarantee that any song will be in the shipping game.
The reported document titles are:
| Reported title | Artist or work listed |
|---|---|
| “Bills Paid” | DJ Khaled feat. Latto & City Girls |
| “Carry On Wayward Son” | Kansas |
| “For What It’s Worth” | Stevie Nicks |

| “Sports Car” | Tate McRae |
| Mahler Symphony No. 6, I. Allegro Energico | Gustav Mahler |
| “The Fireman” | George Strait |
| “Thunder Island” | Jay Ferguson |
| “Unforgettable” | French Montana feat. Swae Lee |
| “Waymore’s Blues” | Waylon Jennings |
Gulf News separately reported identifications from leaked clips that are not all part of that document, including “Impact” by SG Lewis, Robyn & Channel Tres; “Shooting Shark” by Blue Öyster Cult; and “Just Like Paradise” by David Lee Roth. Do not merge clip identifications into the 25-song document: they have different reported provenance.
Leaked station-name lists also need careful labeling. Names reported outside Rockstar’s six-station preview include Kaleidoscope FM, Worldwide FM, Emotion 98.3, Radio ON-U, Symphony FM, V-Rock, Stockyard FM, Circo Loco Records Radio, The Wipe, La Ola, Vice City FM, and Honey FM. Some names from leaked material, including Back Country Radio and Dirty South Classics, later appeared in official previews. That overlap lends credibility to those parts of the newer material, but it does not authenticate every other name or playlist. V-Rock is a familiar station from the original Vice City; a character wearing a V-Rock shirt in official material is not confirmation that the station will appear. A “DNU” label seen on a leaked radio wheel has no established meaning in the reporting cited here.

Can a song’s release date disprove a claimed leak date?
Yes. A song’s public release date can set a lower bound on when footage containing it could have been recorded, unless there is reliable evidence that the game build used an earlier unreleased version. The useful test is the music’s history, not the file’s encoder metadata.
The “Sports Car” example
Tate McRae released “Sports Car” on 24 January 2025 through RCA Records, and it appears in CyberLeek nighttime footage. YouArePOV reports that the album’s sessions ran from January 2024 to January 2025, so the track did not exist in 2023 even as a demo; an early album leak on 16 January 2025 still puts the earliest plausible date in January 2025. Gulf News therefore used the song to rule out the CyberLeek footage being from the September 2022 hack. As YouArePOV put it: “A build cannot contain music that did not exist when the build was made.”
This does not prove the full CyberLeek playlist is genuine, nor that every clip was captured at the same time. It only constrains footage containing that song. A clip encoded with FFmpeg 6.1, released in November 2023, does not establish a November 2023 capture date: the software version tells you about compression, not when the game footage was made.
Did Rockstar really tweet and delete a GTA 6 tracklist?
The widely circulated March 2025 image claiming Rockstar had accidentally posted and deleted a soundtrack list was debunked by Dexerto and Metro. The purported list named Drake, Future, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, and Tyler, the Creator, but the supposed post was supported by a screenshot rather than independent captures of a live Rockstar post.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Use process checks before believing a “deleted tweet” story:
- Is the image visible on Rockstar’s live profile, or only in a screenshot?
- Did multiple independent accounts capture the post in real time?
- Does the alleged artist mix fit the claim, or does it resemble a fan wishlist?
- Was Rockstar posting GTA-related material in the same period?
Metro noted that GTA fans watch Rockstar’s accounts closely; a real deleted post would be unlikely to leave only one entertainment account’s screenshot. Dexerto’s Connor Bennett summed up the list: “If you think it reads like a fan’s wishlist, well, it pretty much is.” The appearance of an image is evidence that someone shared an image, not proof Rockstar published it.
Do artist comments confirm a track or radio station?
Usually not. An artist can confirm involvement without naming a song, and a comment about the game may not refer to soundtrack work at all. Treat the exact words and context as the evidence, rather than upgrading “I’m involved” into “this song is on this station.”

- Skrilla publicly said “Doot Doot (6 7)” would be in the game. That is a public artist claim, not a Rockstar station listing.

- Heaven 17 member Martyn Ware said Rockstar approached the group and that it declined because the offer was too low. That establishes a reported approach, not a licensed track.
- Jermaine Dupri said Rockstar approached him and that Drake would have his own station with unreleased uploads. Rockstar and Drake have not confirmed that claim.
Coordinated artist posts tagged Rockstar on 15 September 2026 included Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, Yung Lean, Morgan Wallen, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Fred again.., PinkPantheress, Keith Richards, and Rauw Alejandro. Several later appeared among named album singles. That sequence supports the connection between those artists and the rollout; it does not make every teaser a tracklist. Megan Thee Stallion GTA-style imagery was later tied to a tequila advertisement, illustrating why visual resemblance alone is not proof of soundtrack involvement.
Is the Daft Punk GTA 6 score rumor true?
It is unconfirmed. An account called Has It Leaked claimed Rockstar wanted Daft Punk first, offered an effectively unlimited budget, pitched a final comeback, and hired Justice afterward. NME, MusicRadar, and Tech Insider attributed the story to that account; neither Rockstar nor Daft Punk has confirmed it. The account’s claim of a long track record is not documentation of this particular story, and an unidentified joking reply saying “Source: I made this up” is not evidence disproving it.
The established fact is that Justice composed the original score and contributed “Flower in a Hurricane” to The Album. Rockstar’s own score page says the release is scheduled for 12 December 2026, with 30 tracks plus digital bonus tracks across formats. Rockstar Report noted on 28 October that an Apple Music New Zealand listing showed 50 tracks for 11 December. Until Rockstar publishes a numbered tracklist or clarifies the discrepancy, its own wording—30 tracks plus digital bonuses—is the soundest description. Even final credits could show who worked on the score, but would not establish who Rockstar approached and did not hire.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why shouldn’t I use the 2022 GTA 6 leak as soundtrack proof?
The September 2022 incident involved roughly 90 videos from an early development build posted to GTAForums by a user called “teapotuberhacker.” Rockstar confirmed unauthorized access to confidential information, including early development footage of the next Grand Theft Auto, according to GTA Zone. Kotaku found that much of the music associated with that build had already appeared in GTA V or GTA Online and was likely placeholder material.
That makes the old footage a poor basis for a 2026 radio list. A familiar GTA V song in a development clip may indicate a temporary asset, not a final station choice. GTA Zone also reports that old clips have been recycled with new thumbnails to make them look like fresh leaks. Since 2025, AI-generated “gameplay” has also circulated; soundtrack hoaxes more often rely on fake tweet images and wishlists, but the same question applies: who first published it, and can the claim be checked independently?

How can I spot a fake GTA 6 soundtrack leak without downloading it?
Most useful checks rely on public information: the official music page, official trailer credits, reputable reporting, an artist’s own public statement, and a song’s release history. Do not make a file download the price of verification.
- Wishlist energy: A list featuring only current chart names, with no country, metal, classical, or regional Florida music, may be a fan’s imagined playlist. Genre balance alone cannot prove a list is fake, but it is not proof of authenticity.
- Old placeholders presented as new: Compare any 2022-build songs with GTA V and GTA Online. Prior use in those games weakens the claim that the title proves a 2026 radio placement.
- Untraceable “internal document”: A document with no named journalist or chain of custody is still an anonymous claim, regardless of its formatting.
- Station claim without a station source: A trailer credit or a song heard in footage does not support “confirmed on radio” unless the radio placement itself is established.
- Encoder or EXIF date treated as capture proof: Those details can describe the encoding or file handling, not necessarily when the game footage was recorded.
- Contradictions dressed as certainty: A claimed full playlist that ignores known official singles, or gives a definitive meaning to an unexplained interface label, needs stronger sourcing.
- Crypto, QR codes, or installation files: A demand to pay or install something in order to hear or verify the leak is a security warning, not corroboration.
Are GTA 6 soundtrack downloads or “early access” offers safe?
Do not download an alleged leaked build, soundtrack archive, launcher, or beta-testing installer. Kaspersky reported on 6 October 2026 that criminals had cloned the CyberLeek name for fake sites. One site advertised a “full game” for US$1,000 in cryptocurrency and a 24-hour demo for US$100; its crowdfunding page listed both US$50,000 and US$500,000 as the goal. It accepted Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and Litecoin and offered no refunds. Kaspersky’s assessment was: “Unfortunately, we don’t know of a legitimate way to get early access to GTA VI, and honestly, we doubt anyone else does either.”

Where can I get the real GTA 6 soundtrack?
For music Rockstar has actually announced, use its music hub and official streaming or retail listings rather than leak folders. The Album is scheduled for 19 November 2026; the Justice original score is scheduled for 11 December on CD and vinyl, with streaming also listed for 12 December on Rockstar’s page. The date difference for the score is worth checking against the specific format and official listing before ordering.
GameSpot and TechWiser reported the following physical prices for Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. Prices and availability can vary by territory and retailer; figures below were checked in November 2026.
| Edition | Reported price | Details |
|---|---|---|
| CD | $19.98 / £10.99 | Standard CD release |
| Standard vinyl | $49.98 / £44.99 | Two transparent magenta discs with blue splatter |
| Limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl | $124.98 / £108.99 | Exclusive artwork and packaging |
Mashable also listed an Amazon Exclusive edition at $49.98. Announced physical retailers included Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters, and independent retailers; territory, stock, and colorways can differ. Rockstar’s hub is the primary place to check current official links. Mashable reported that Morgan Wallen’s album single had more than 25 million Spotify streams; that figure is Mashable’s reporting, not a directly verified Spotify counter here.
For perspective only, Gulf News reported that GTA V shipped with more than 240 songs across 17 stations and grew further through GTA Online. That historical scale does not establish the number of songs or stations in GTA VI.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does GTA 6 come out, and when is the album released?
Rockstar lists the game and Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album for 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Justice score has separate format and streaming dates, so check the specific official listing.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesCan Rockstar change the GTA 6 radio playlist after launch?
The material available here does not establish whether individual radio tracks will be changed after release, or how any changes would vary by territory. A playlist claim should be judged against the version and date of the official source making it.
Does a song in a GTA 6 trailer mean Rockstar paid to license it for the game?
A trailer credit establishes that Rockstar used or licensed the recording for that promotional video, not that it is licensed for in-game radio. The trailer’s use does not reveal the terms or scope of any music agreement.
Is the full GTA 6 radio playlist available yet?
No complete playlist has been published in the information available as of Rockstar’s October 2026 rollout. Rockstar’s six previews are explicitly a selection, and its broader description also mentions talk radio and podcasts.
