How does Fortnite access differ between the three services?
Epic identifies all three as Fortnite cloud-streaming options, but the account condition attached to each one is different.
Xbox Cloud Gaming uses a free Microsoft account in supported regions
Microsoft’s current Xbox Cloud Gaming page says, “Play supported free-to-play games like Fortnite with a free Microsoft account.” That wording makes paid Game Pass a non-prerequisite for the stated Fortnite route. Region eligibility still applies, so a free account alone does not guarantee access everywhere.
GeForce NOW has a free membership and paid tiers
Epic confirms a free GeForce NOW membership option for Fortnite. NVIDIA also lists Free, Performance and Ultimate memberships; the available streaming capabilities depend on the tier and the device. A free membership should not be described as having the same allowances or features as the paid tiers.
Luna’s no-additional-cost route is for Amazon Prime members
Epic states, “Amazon Prime member? Stream Fortnite via Amazon Luna at no additional cost!” This is an existing-membership benefit. It does not establish that Luna can be used for Fortnite without Prime or that Prime itself is free.
Is Fortnite free on Xbox Cloud Gaming?

Xbox’s US-facing 2026 page lists 5 hours per month for Game Pass Essential, 10 hours for Premium and 15 hours for Ultimate. Those are paid-plan cloud-playtime allowances.
