If Moon Sweepers gear will not equip or seems to have disappeared, first identify whether you bought a tool or a suit-gear upgrade. Tools must be placed on the belt and selected from a quick slot; suit gear is checked through its own controls and HUD indicators. A tool missing from the currently selected slot is not proof that the purchase was lost. Check the Supply Wall or inventory, assign the tool to an available belt slot, and test suit upgrades by activating their function before buying anything again.

How do you equip a tool bought at the Supply Wall?
On the documented keyboard layout, open the inventory, place the tool on an available belt slot, then select that slot. The shop and inventory are separate checks: seeing an item at the shop does not automatically mean it is in the active quick slot.
- Open the inventory. The documented keyboard layout uses I. If you are using a controller or changed bindings, use the on-screen prompt or the Controls screen instead of assuming the keyboard key applies.
- Look for the purchased tool. Check the inventory and the Supply Wall before concluding that it is gone. Note whether the game still shows it as owned or available to equip; do not buy it again merely because it is not in your hand.
- Assign it to an open belt slot. The Field Manual specifically says tools need to be hung on the belt. If there is no available slot, check which Tool Belt level you have and whether the existing slots are occupied.
- Select the slot. On the documented keyboard layout, keys 1 through 6 or the mouse wheel select slots. Confirm that the intended tool is the selected item before testing it.
- Test the tool in the game. A successful purchase, belt assignment, and slot selection are different states. If the tool is visible in inventory but will not select or function, note which transition fails; that detail is more useful than reporting only that it “disappeared.”
Wikily’s version-1.0.5 catalog lists two quick slots at Tool Belt level I and six at level V. Those figures describe the catalog’s listed levels, not a guarantee that every current save or later game version has the same state. Check the level and slot count shown in your game if the belt appears full or a control does not match the catalog.

How do you check suit gear that is not a handheld tool?
Test the upgrade using its function and the relevant HUD indicator. The version-1.0.5 catalog lists five suit-gear types: Tool Belt, Forward Jetpack, Gravity Boots, Helmet Lamp, and Night Vision Goggles. They do not all occupy a hand-held tool slot.

The developer’s 1.0.4 notes say that N cycles the helmet lamp, goggles, and off after the goggles purchase. Cycle through the settings rather than judging ownership from whether the goggles are currently visible or active: an off setting can make the equipment seem absent. The same notes say the goggles cost $350 in-game; that is a game price, not a real-world purchase price or a reason to repurchase them during troubleshooting.

The patch notes also say Helmet Lamp upgrades moved to the Supply Wall. An older guide that sends you to a different purchase location may describe an earlier arrangement. Use the current in-game display and the [developer’s patch announcements] as context, rather than assuming an old guide’s location is still correct.
Gravity Boots and Forward Jetpack
The controls reference lists B for gravity boots and another jump while in the air for the jetpack. Try the ability in a situation where its control makes sense, then check the HUD indicator. The developer’s 1.0.4 notes say HUD indicators were added for the lamp and goggles, jetpack boosts, and gravity boots. A missing handheld item is not the right test for either ability.

If the ability does not activate, record the control you used and whether its HUD indicator appeared, instead of treating the failed activation alone as proof of lost ownership.
Could the Tool Belt be the reason there is nowhere to put a tool?
Possibly: the Tool Belt is an upgrade to slot capacity, while individual tools are placed on those slots. The version-1.0.5 catalog lists capacity growing from two quick slots at level I to six at level V. If a tool appears owned but there is no open slot, inspect the belt level and occupied slots before diagnosing a missing purchase.

Do not confuse the Tool Belt upgrade with the tools themselves. The manual’s instruction to hang tools on the belt explains why buying a tool may not make it immediately active. The belt upgrade affects available quick slots; selecting a slot is still a separate action.
What should you check in co-op or after an update?
In co-op, separate personal tools from crew-shared suit-gear upgrades and confirm whose session you joined. - Exact gear or tool name and whether it is a tool, Tool Belt level, or another suit upgrade.
- What the Supply Wall showed before and after purchase, including whether the item still appeared owned.
