Is ExpressVPN safe and private?
Its privacy architecture is among the better documented in the consumer VPN market, but “no logs” does not mean “no personal data.” ExpressVPN says it does not retain browsing history, traffic destinations, metadata, DNS queries or assigned VPN IP addresses. What the audits actually cover
The company’s Trust Center lists recurring assessments by Cure53, KPMG, PwC, F‑Secure and Praetorian. The scope has included applications, infrastructure, browser extensions, Lightway, Aircove and newer services. What information can still be collected?
RTINGS notes that the privacy policy permits collection and retention of some personal information, including city, postal code, device information and email address, for stated purposes. This does not contradict the narrower no-logs claim about browsing activity, but it matters if you want to minimize account data. ExpressVPN also says its biannual transparency reports describe user-data requests received by its legal department.

ExpressVPN reports independent Cure53 and Praetorian assessments, including work after the Rust rewrite. Treat those statements as vendor documentation about design and review history; they are separate from independent speed tests.

On Windows, ExpressVPN offers a Lightway Turbo mode intended to improve throughput. Does ExpressVPN work with Netflix and other streaming services?
Streaming support is generally good, but access and stability vary by service, country and time. TechRadar found ExpressVPN suitable for streaming yet reported more dropouts than NordVPN during some trans‑Atlantic viewing.
