As of October 2026, Dune: Part Two is not listed in the Netflix US catalog. Current availability trackers report the film in several international libraries, including Switzerland, while viewers in the United States can watch it through HBO Max, rent or buy it digitally, or purchase a DVD/Blu-ray edition. A VPN connected to Switzerland is a reasonable experiment, but it is not a guaranteed workaround: Netflix can detect VPN traffic, limit the catalog to globally licensed titles, or stop playback. Netflix also does not support VPN viewing on its ad-supported experience.
The practical choice is therefore simple: use a legal US service when you need dependable access, and treat a Swiss VPN connection as a catalog test rather than a promise of playback. The instructions, regional evidence, troubleshooting steps, costs, and alternatives below reflect checks reported in October 2026.

Is Dune: Part Two on Netflix USA right now?
No. October 2026 availability checks do not show Dune: Part Two in Netflix’s United States catalog. Flixboss records the title as removed from Netflix US on July 1, 2025, and its October 2026 tracker lists the film in Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. VPNCentral’s October 11, 2026 guide specifically verifies Switzerland.
An older Netflix Tudum article dated January 31, 2025 said that the movie was “streaming now on Netflix in the US.” That was accurate for the period it described, but it is historical copy and conflicts with the newer 2026 catalog checks. Do not rely on that article to determine present availability.
#1 Best Overall
Netflix libraries are licensed by territory and can change without notice. A title appearing in an overseas catalog today does not establish that it will remain there tomorrow, nor does a US subscription automatically include every country’s catalog.
Which Netflix country has Dune: Part Two?
Switzerland is the clearest region to try because it is specifically verified by VPNCentral in October 2026. Flixboss also lists Germany, Slovakia, Turkey, and the UK. Those listings describe catalog availability, not a guarantee that Netflix will allow a US subscriber connected through a VPN to stream the movie.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Netflix can identify IP addresses associated with VPNs and proxies. When it does, its own help guidance says the service may show only programs with worldwide licensing, such as Squid Game or Stranger Things. A country’s ordinary catalog listing and the catalog Netflix presents over a detected VPN connection can therefore differ.
How can I try watching it through Netflix Switzerland?
You need an active Netflix account, a VPN subscription with a Swiss server, and a device that can run both applications. VPNCentral identifies Private Internet Access, ExpressVPN, and NordVPN as providers offering Swiss locations; server availability and Netflix compatibility can change, so check the provider’s current network information before paying.
- Choose a VPN plan. Confirm that the service has servers in Switzerland and supports your device (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, smart TV, streaming stick, or router). A VPN subscription is separate from Netflix billing.
- Install the official VPN app. Download it from the provider’s current website or your device’s official app store. Avoid modified applications and browser extensions from unknown sources.
- Sign in and select Switzerland. Open the server list, choose a Swiss location, and wait until the app reports that the encrypted connection is active. If your provider offers several Swiss cities, begin with the one showing the lowest load.
- Completely close Netflix. Quit the app rather than merely leaving it in the background. On a browser, close all Netflix tabs; on a phone or TV, force-stop the application if the operating system provides that option.
- Reconnect Netflix. Keep the VPN connected, reopen Netflix, and sign in with your existing account. You normally do not need to create a Swiss account or change the billing country.
- Search for the exact title. Search for Dune: Part Two or Dune: Part Two (2024). Confirm that the result is the 2024 sequel, not another entry in the Dune franchise.
- Test playback. If the title page appears, start the film and check that playback continues beyond the opening minutes. A visible title page alone does not prove that the stream will remain available.
Disconnect the VPN when you need titles licensed specifically for the United States. Netflix says users may have to turn off a VPN to see programs available in their own region. Using a VPN can also affect other services on the same device, including banking or location-sensitive applications.
What should I do if the movie does not appear?
Work through one change at a time so you can tell whether the problem is the server, the app session, or Netflix’s licensing controls.
Try another Swiss server
Disconnect, select a different Swiss server, reconnect, and then restart Netflix. VPN IP ranges can be blocked unevenly, so one server may fail while another is recognized differently. This can help with an IP block, but it cannot override Netflix’s licensing decisions or VPN detection.

Restart the Netflix session
Force-close the app, reopen it only after the VPN connection is active, and search again. On a browser, clear Netflix site data or use a private window if an old session appears to be cached. Do not assume that refreshing a title page changes the region detected at sign-in.
Check the title and year
Use the result labeled Dune: Part Two (2024). The first Dune film, television adaptations, trailers, and bonus videos are separate entries and may have different licensing.
Test without the VPN
Turn off the VPN and search Netflix US. If the title is absent there as well, that is consistent with the October 2026 US listings. If Netflix works normally without the VPN but fails only when Switzerland is selected, the likely cause is VPN filtering rather than your account password or internet connection.

Netflix states that VPNs are not supported for its ad-supported experience. If you use an ad-supported plan, a VPN connection may prevent normal catalog browsing or playback regardless of which Swiss server you select.
Can a Netflix ad-supported plan work with a VPN?
No reliable method is documented. Netflix’s support information says VPNs are not supported on the ad-supported experience. That limitation is separate from whether a particular IP address is blocked, so changing Swiss servers is not a dependable fix for an ad-supported account.
If you need to test an overseas catalog, review Netflix’s current plan terms before changing subscriptions. Do not assume that upgrading guarantees access: Netflix can still restrict a VPN connection, and a plan change does not alter territorial licensing.
Why might Netflix show only a few worldwide titles?
Netflix explains that, when it detects a VPN, it may show only programs for which it has worldwide rights. This is why globally distributed originals can remain visible while a regionally licensed movie disappears. The behavior is intentional service enforcement, not evidence that the Swiss catalog listing is wrong.

Providers rotate addresses, and Netflix’s detection can change faster than a public catalog tracker. As a result, a server that worked previously may stop working without any change to your Netflix account.
What are the dependable legal ways to watch in the US?
For a US viewer who wants predictable access, a domestic streaming or digital-rental option is more certain than a VPN-dependent catalog. JustWatch’s US check on September 11, 2026 lists HBO Max and the HBO Max Amazon Channel, along with digital rental and purchase options. GuideStream TV’s October 24, 2026 update also lists a Prime Video rental from $5.99. Prices, storefronts, and availability can change, so verify the final amount and playback rights at checkout.
| Option | Access certainty | Cost model | Quality or format | VPN risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HBO Max | High while the title remains in the US service catalog | Requires an active subscription; current price not stated in the cited checks | Depends on the plan, device, and title stream | None when used normally in the US |
| HBO Max Amazon Channel | High while listed for US subscribers | Channel subscription through Amazon; current price not stated | Depends on the channel and device | None when used normally in the US |
| Prime Video digital rental | High during the rental window | From $5.99 in GuideStream TV’s October 24, 2026 listing; one-time rental charge | Digital stream; exact resolution depends on the storefront and device | None if watched in the licensed US storefront |
| Digital purchase | High after purchase, subject to the retailer’s terms | One-time purchase; current price not stated in the cited checks | Usually offers the retailer’s available HD or UHD version | None for ordinary US playback |
| DVD or Blu-ray from Amazon-listed sellers | Highest catalog certainty after delivery | One-time disc purchase; price varies by edition and seller | Physical format; Blu-ray editions generally provide higher resolution than DVD | None, because playback does not depend on a streaming IP address |
| Netflix through a Swiss VPN | Low to medium; depends on catalog status, server IP, and detection | Requires Netflix plus a separate VPN subscription | Subject to Netflix’s stream limits and the connection | High; the catalog may be restricted or playback blocked |
JustWatch records a 167-minute runtime and a PG-13 rating for the film. It also presents a 95% audience/critic-style score; that figure is JustWatch’s presentation, not a studio statistic. The service said its September 11, 2026 check covered 369 streaming services.
Should I use a VPN instead of renting or buying?
Use a VPN only if your priority is testing an international Netflix catalog and you accept that the attempt may fail. It can be convenient when a title is genuinely available to your account, but it adds a second subscription, may reduce connection speed, and can interrupt playback when Netflix identifies the server.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Renting or buying through a US storefront costs money for a specific viewing right, yet it avoids the uncertainty of regional catalogs and IP blocks. A disc is the strongest offline fallback: once you own the DVD or Blu-ray, it does not depend on Netflix’s catalog rotation, a VPN server, or an internet connection during playback.
How do the options compare for picture quality and convenience?
Streaming subscriptions
HBO Max is convenient for subscribers who already use the service and want to resume watching across supported devices. Actual resolution, HDR support, audio tracks, and simultaneous-stream rules depend on the current plan and device; the cited availability checks do not establish a single quality specification.
Digital rental
A rental is suitable for a one-time viewing. The rental period and the time allowed after starting playback are set by the retailer, so read those terms before confirming payment. GuideStream TV’s $5.99 figure is a snapshot from October 24, 2026, not a permanent price.
Rank #4
Digital purchase
Buying removes the short rental window and is useful if you expect to rewatch the film. The purchase remains governed by the retailer’s account and licensing terms, so it is not identical to owning a physical master file.
Blu-ray or DVD
A Blu-ray provides a physical presentation and does not require a streaming account. DVD editions are generally lower resolution but can be less expensive or easier to play on older equipment. Check the disc region, language tracks, subtitles, and whether your player supports the format before ordering.
What legal and account issues should I consider?
Netflix’s terms and help pages govern how the service may be accessed, and licensing rules differ by country. A VPN does not transfer a Swiss license to the United States, create ownership rights, or guarantee that Netflix will permit playback. Keep your Netflix credentials private, use the official VPN application, and cancel a VPN subscription through its normal billing controls if the catalog test is unsuccessful.
Do not rely on unofficial streams or downloaded copies offered by unknown websites. They can expose you to malware, deceptive payment pages, poor-quality video, and copyright violations. The US alternatives listed by JustWatch and GuideStream TV provide a clearer legal route.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What should I check before paying for any option?
- Confirm that the listing is Dune: Part Two (2024), not the earlier film or a similarly named video.
- Check the storefront country, because a title shown on a foreign site may not play from a US account.
- Review the final rental, purchase, subscription, tax, and cancellation terms at checkout.
- Verify your device supports the chosen app, HD/UHD format, subtitles, and audio options.
- If buying a disc, check the region code and whether your player accepts DVD, Blu-ray, or both.
- For a VPN test, verify Swiss server availability and understand that Netflix can still block the connection.
What is the most practical decision in October 2026?
If you already subscribe to HBO Max, use that US catalog first. If you want a single viewing, compare the current digital rental price—GuideStream TV reported Prime Video from $5.99 on October 24, 2026—with the purchase price. Choose a disc when you want reliable offline access or expect the film to leave streaming services.
Try Switzerland through a VPN only with realistic expectations: close and reopen Netflix after connecting, search for the 2024 title, and be prepared for the result to be missing or limited to worldwide-licensed programs. Netflix US itself does not currently list the film, and no VPN provider can guarantee a catalog or uninterrupted playback.
Frequently asked questions
Will changing my Netflix profile language make the Swiss movie appear?
No. Profile language changes subtitles, audio preferences, and parts of the interface; they do not change the country Netflix uses for licensing. The detected network location and Netflix’s regional rights determine the catalog.
Do I need to create a new Netflix account billed in Switzerland?
Not for the basic test described here. Use your existing account after connecting to a Swiss server, but remember that account eligibility does not override VPN detection or regional licensing.
Can I download the movie in Switzerland and watch it later in the US?
Offline downloads are governed by Netflix’s rights and download rules. A download made while traveling or connected through a VPN may expire, become unavailable, or fail to play when the account is checked from another region.
Does the film’s 167-minute runtime include credits?
JustWatch lists a 167-minute runtime, but the cited availability record does not explain whether that figure is measured with or without end credits. Allow roughly three hours if you need to watch the complete feature and credits.
Why can a Blu-ray be more reliable than a digital purchase?
A Blu-ray does not depend on a retailer’s streaming license, account authentication, or catalog changes after purchase. It does require a compatible player and physical storage, and the edition’s region and included languages should be checked before ordering.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will changing my Netflix profile language make the Swiss movie appear?
No. Profile language affects subtitles, audio preferences, and interface elements, not the licensed country catalog. Netflix determines availability from regional rights and the network location it detects.
Do I need to create a new Netflix account billed in Switzerland?
No new account is required for the basic VPN test; you can sign in with your existing account after connecting to Switzerland. Account ownership still does not bypass Netflix’s VPN filtering or territorial licensing.
