The free Dinolords multiplayer demo launched on Steam on October 26, 2026, and remains available through November 2, 2026. It supports up to eight players in free-for-all, team, cooperative-versus-CPU and asymmetric matches, including 1v7 games. The full release date has not been announced.
What is the Dinolords multiplayer demo?
Dinolords is a strategy game with three connected layers: real-time settlement building, army command and direct action-RPG combat. In its alternate medieval setting, human forces fight alongside trained dinosaurs. You expand and defend a settlement, recruit dinosaur units, direct battles and personally lead your hero in combat rather than managing the battlefield only from an overhead view.

Northplay describes the design as a “Hack’N’Strat.” The demo is a limited multiplayer preview, not the full game or its Early Access launch.
Is the Dinolords multiplayer demo free?
Yes. The demo costs nothing and is distributed through Steam. It is available from October 26 through November 2, 2026, so the announced access window is temporary.

Why is October 26 the launch date?
An earlier September announcement listed October 19 as the planned date. A later launch announcement confirmed that the demo actually went live on October 26 after additional fixes and tweaks. October 26 is therefore the current release date to use when looking for the live build.
How many players can play Dinolords multiplayer?
Each announced multiplayer session supports up to eight players. That cap applies across the listed match types, although the exact map rules, balancing and matchmaking details have not been published.

Which multiplayer formats are included?

Can I play Dinolords alone or with friends?

SteamDB records the demo for Windows and Apple-silicon macOS. Steam’s store listing warns that Intel-based Mac systems are not compatible, so a Mac must use Apple silicon to meet the announced macOS support condition.

When will the full Dinolords game be released?
There is no announced full-game release date. The main Steam store page lists the date as “To be announced” and describes the planned release as Early Access. The multiplayer demo should not be treated as that Early Access launch: it is a separate, free preview with a defined October 26–November 2 availability period.

How should you decide whether to download it?
The demo is most relevant if you want to sample a hybrid in which base construction and RTS commands happen alongside direct hero combat and dinosaur-led armies. Choose it for cooperative CPU matches if your group prefers teamwork, or use free-for-all, teams and asymmetric rules when you want competitive variety. Because the access window ends November 2 and the full release date is still unknown, treat the download as a time-limited preview rather than a purchase decision about the finished game.
