Deezer announced an optional setting intended to hide fully AI-generated tracks, albums, and associated artists from search results. The company said the filter would roll out globally before the end of 2026; as of October 25, 2026, that is a promised rollout window, not confirmation that the setting is available to every subscriber, country, or device. Deezer describes it as a search filter—not a switch that blocks every AI-related track across the service. Its separate policy of excluding detected AI-generated music from algorithmic and editorial recommendations was already in place.
What does Deezer’s AI-music setting do?
When switched on, the announced setting is meant to remove fully AI-generated tracks and albums, along with artists associated with that content, from Deezer search results. Switching it off restores access to that material in search. The goal is to give listeners a choice about whether this category of music appears when they look for music.

The filter is not described as a universal ban, a content takedown, or a way to prevent AI-generated music from being delivered to Deezer. It is a search-results control. Deezer describes its treatment of recommendations separately: detected AI-generated tracks are already excluded from algorithmic and editorial recommendations. Those are distinct measures, with different surfaces and purposes.
Deezer announced the setting on October 13, 2026, and said it would roll out globally before the end of that year. The announcement did not give an exact launch day or a universal menu path. Availability can therefore depend on whether the feature has reached a particular app or account; an instruction to tap a specific menu would go beyond what Deezer had established in the announcement.

Which music is the filter supposed to hide?
Deezer says the filter focuses on music created entirely through generative AI. Its stated distinction is between fully AI-generated music and a broader human creative process that uses AI for limited elements. The announcement does not say that every recording touched by an AI tool will disappear from search.
Fully AI-generated tracks and albums
The announced scope explicitly includes fully AI-generated tracks and albums. The company has also described a growing volume of this material entering its service: in a July 2026 article, Deezer said it received nearly 90,000 fully AI-generated tracks per day. It said such deliveries made up more than 50% of daily deliveries at their peak in June 2026. These are Deezer’s figures about its own delivery environment, not a count of all AI music created or released worldwide.
Artists associated with that content
Deezer says artists associated with fully AI-generated content will also be hidden from search when the setting is on. The announcement does not explain the exact association rules—for example, how Deezer would handle an artist profile with both fully AI-generated releases and human-created releases. It is safest to understand this as a stated part of the filter, not to assume every mixed catalog will be treated in one specific way.
AI used as one tool in human-made music
Deezer says limited AI-assisted elements in a broader human creative process are treated differently from music created entirely through generative AI. That distinction matters for listeners who want to avoid fully generated recordings without excluding all music that involved an AI tool somewhere in production.
The company has not published a complete public rulebook in the announcement for deciding where that line falls in every case. A listener should not infer from the presence of an AI tool, or from a label or artist statement alone, that a particular track will necessarily be classified as fully AI-generated by Deezer.
Does Deezer’s filter affect recommendations, Flow, or playlists?
The announced toggle is for search results. Deezer’s existing exclusion of detected AI-generated tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations is a separate measure, not an additional function of the new toggle.

- Block the World, Keep the Music: Four built-in mics work together to filter out background noise — whether you're in a packed office, on a crowded commute, or moving through a busy street — so every beat comes through clean and clear. (Not available in AUX-in mode.)
- Two Ways to Hear More: BassUp technology delivers deep, punchy bass and crisp highs in wireless mode — then step it up further by plugging in the included AUX cable to unlock Hi‑Res certified audio for studio-level clarity.
- 40 Hours. 5-Minute Top-Up: With ANC on, a single charge keeps you listening through days of commutes and long-haul flights. Running low? Just 5 minutes plugged in gives you 4 more hours — so you're never stuck waiting.
- Two Devices, Zero Hassle: Stay connected to your laptop and phone at the same time. Audio switches automatically to whichever device needs you — so a call never interrupts your flow, and getting back to your playlist is just as easy. Designed for commuters and remote workers who move smoothly between work and personal listening throughout the day.
- Your Sound, Your Rules: The soundcore app puts everything at your fingertips — dials your ideal EQ with presets or build your own, flip between ANC, Normal, and Transparency modes on the fly, or wind down with built-in white noise. One app, total control.
Deezer Community guidance from May 2026 names Flow and track mixes as examples of recommendation-powered experiences. Deezer’s October announcement says detected AI-generated tracks are already left out of algorithmic and editorial recommendations; the community guidance helps illustrate what recommendation surfaces can include. Neither statement supports describing the new search toggle as a universal block across every playlist, library, or listening surface.
In practical terms, treat the two measures as separate:
- Search: The optional setting is intended to hide fully AI-generated tracks, albums, and associated artists from search results when enabled.
- Recommendations: Deezer says detected AI-generated tracks are separately excluded from algorithmic and editorial recommendations.
The announcement does not provide a complete inventory of every Deezer surface affected by recommendation exclusions, nor does it say that enabling the search setting changes recommendations. If a listener encounters an AI-generated track somewhere outside search, that alone does not establish that the setting has failed; the surface may be governed by a different policy, or the track may not have been detected or classified as fully AI-generated.
How do I turn on the Deezer AI-music filter?
Deezer has announced the setting but has not published a universal app-menu path or exact release date in its October 13, 2026 announcement. It promised a global rollout before the end of 2026, so instructions may differ depending on when a feature reaches a particular app or region.
Once the option is visible in your Deezer app, read the setting’s own label and description before changing it. The announced behavior is straightforward: turning the filter on is intended to hide the specified fully AI-generated content in search, while turning it off restores access to it in search. If no such option is visible, do not assume a particular account tier or device is excluded; Deezer had not established availability by country, subscription tier, device, or interface version in the announcement.
For an accurate, current path, check Deezer’s in-app settings or official help information after the rollout reaches your app. Avoid relying on menu instructions published before the option appears in your version, because Deezer did not announce a fixed path that can be applied to every interface.

How reliable is Deezer’s AI-music detection?
Detection is the prerequisite for filtering, but Deezer’s statements do not support treating the system as infallible. In a July 2026 article, the company reported 99.8% accuracy for its detection system. That number is a company-reported figure; it is not an independent evaluation described in the announcement.
Deezer also reported that, between January 2025 and August 2026, its systems detected and excluded more than 42 million tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations. In its October 2026 announcement, it said more than 14 million albums had been tagged. These figures show the reported scale of Deezer’s detection and catalog work; they do not establish that every item has been identified correctly or that the same counts represent tracks hidden by the new search toggle.

A fully AI-generated track that appears in a search result would not, by itself, prove why it appeared: the feature may not yet be available to that listener, it may be turned off, or the content may not have been classified as fully AI-generated. Deezer’s announcement does not provide a user-facing appeal or correction process for individual classification decisions.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why is Deezer adding the option?
Deezer frames the feature as a matter of listener choice and transparency amid the growth of AI-generated uploads. CEO Alexis Lanternier said in the October 13, 2026 announcement: “The explosion of AI-generated content continues to impact the whole music ecosystem, and we believe in shaping a future based on transparency and choice, with respect for artists, song writers and music fans.”
Deezer also reported a survey finding in support of giving listeners a choice: 45% of music-streaming users said they would like to filter out fully AI-generated music. That was Deezer’s report of a Deezer/Ipsos survey commissioned in November 2025. It should be read as a result from that commissioned survey, not as a global census or an independently replicated estimate of every music-streaming listener’s preferences.
The policy reflects two different concerns: some listeners want to avoid fully generated music, while a broad filter could also hide human-created music that uses AI in a limited way. Deezer’s announced distinction between those categories, and its choice to make the search filter optional, are intended to give listeners control without presenting AI assistance and fully generated music as interchangeable.

What does the announcement leave unanswered?
Deezer’s October announcement establishes the intended scope and broad rollout window, but it does not settle several practical questions that may matter to an individual listener. Those details should be checked against the live app or current official help information rather than inferred.
- Exact release date: Deezer said global rollout would happen before the end of 2026 but did not announce a precise day.
- Availability by app, device, account, or country: The announcement does not specify a rollout matrix or confirm identical availability everywhere at once.
- Exact interface path: Deezer did not provide a universal sequence of menus in the announcement.
- Mixed artist catalogs: The company says associated artists are included but does not explain every case where a profile contains both fully AI-generated and human-made releases.
- Every listening surface: The search setting is distinct from recommendation exclusions, and Deezer does not establish that the toggle filters all playlists, library views, or other playback areas.
- Detection edge cases: Deezer reports its system’s accuracy but does not claim perfect classification or explain every possible correction route for a disputed result.
These are limits on what the announcement establishes, not evidence that a particular feature or behavior is absent. As the rollout proceeds, Deezer’s live controls and official guidance are the appropriate places to verify how the option works in a specific version of the service.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Deezer’s AI filter available in every country yet?
Deezer’s October 13, 2026 announcement promised a global rollout before the end of 2026, but it did not confirm availability country by country. Check the current Deezer app or official help information for your account rather than assuming the option has reached every region.
Will turning on the filter delete AI-generated tracks from my library?
The announcement describes hiding specified material from search results, not removing it from a listener’s library or deleting it from Deezer. It does not specify how the control interacts with saved tracks or downloads.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesCan I still find an AI-generated track after enabling the setting?
The intended behavior is to hide fully AI-generated content from search when the option is on, but Deezer does not claim every track will be classified correctly. If a result remains visible, the announcement alone cannot establish whether the feature is unavailable, switched off, or the item was not classified within the filter’s scope.
Does Deezer publish how it identifies AI-generated music?
Deezer has reported detection figures and described its focus on fully AI-generated music, but the October announcement does not provide a complete public classification rulebook. Its July 2026 accuracy figure is a company report, not an independent audit described there.
