Possibly, but there is no confirmation. Santa Monica Studio officially announced remakes of the original Greek God of War trilogy on February 12, 2026. Sony has not announced a PlayStation 6 presentation, a PS6 launch window, or any connection between that hypothetical event and the remake. Any report saying the trilogy will be shown at a PS6 presentation is therefore speculation, not a confirmed event.
Is the original God of War trilogy remake confirmed?

Grace Orlady, Santa Monica Studio’s communications director, said: “We’re thrilled to confirm that the original God of War trilogy is being remade.” The announcement also featured T.C. Carson, the original voice actor for Kratos.
That confirmation establishes the project’s existence and its scope. It does not establish a release platform, launch date, remake technology, visual direction, gameplay changes or whether the three games will launch together.

Has Sony announced a PlayStation 6 presentation?
No. PlayStation’s official broadcast index lists September 3, 2026 as its latest State of Play, describing that broadcast around PS5 games and third-party updates. The index does not announce a PS6 presentation.
Sony’s next-generation timing also remains undecided in the material currently available. An investor Q&A statement quoted in an October 2026 report said: “As for next-generation platforms, no decisions have been made regarding timing or pricing, and we plan to consider these matters while monitoring future conditions.”

Is the God of War trilogy remake coming to PS6?

When is the God of War trilogy remake coming out?
There is no release date or preorder. Sony and Santa Monica Studio have not announced a launch window, edition breakdown, physical version, price or retailer listing.
