If you mean Sony’s newly announced November 2026 Monthly Game, you cannot claim it yet on October 30. Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered becomes claimable on November 3, 2026, and the offer runs through November 30. It is included at no additional game charge for PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members; “free” does not mean that a PlayStation Plus subscription is unnecessary.
Once the November offer appears in your regional store, claim it from Games home > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Monthly Games, then choose the game’s claim or download option. If you instead meant The Midnight Walk, that is a separate Extra/Premium Game Catalog title already available in the US, not the November Monthly Game.

Which PS Plus adventure game is this?
The headline most naturally refers to Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered, which Sony announced on October 28, 2026, as the November Monthly Game for PS5 and PS4. Sony’s announcement says the collection is available to claim from November 3 through November 30, 2026. As of October 30, the November claim button should not be treated as live.
The collection brings together three games: Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Aspyr describes it as a single-player action-adventure collection with a switch between the original polygonal models and remastered visuals.

There is a genuine naming ambiguity. Sony also added the clay-crafted dark-fantasy adventure The Midnight Walk to the US PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on October 14, 2026. The instructions for that game appear in a separate section below because its tier, entitlement and removal rules are different.
When can I claim Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered?
The announced claim window is November 3–30, 2026. October’s Monthly Games remain available to add through November 2. Sony gives the dates, but not a guaranteed refresh hour for every regional storefront, so a game may appear at a different local time than another member’s store.
- Before November 3: do not assume that a November Monthly Game download is available. You can still add October’s lineup until November 2.
- November 3 through November 30: open the Monthly Games area and add Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered to your account.
- After November 30: the limited offer has closed. A title that was not added during its window should not be described as claimable later as a Monthly Game.
The dates come from Sony Interactive Entertainment’s October 28 announcement. They are an announced offer period, not a promise that every country’s storefront changes at exactly 00:00 local time. If the tile is absent during the first hours of November 3, check again later rather than buying a separate copy in a hurry.
Who gets the game with PlayStation Plus?
Monthly Games are a benefit of all three current PlayStation Plus tiers: Essential, Extra and Premium. An eligible member pays no additional charge for the game itself during the claim window, but the subscription is paid and continues until canceled. Sony’s membership price and billing currency depend on the account’s country, so this guide does not treat the game as a no-cost replacement for membership.
Adding the title creates a Monthly Games entitlement on the PlayStation Plus account that claimed it. The game remains downloadable and playable while that membership is active. Canceling a subscription should not be presented as a way to keep permanent playable access; access is tied to the active membership entitlement. If the subscription lapses, the game can remain listed in the library but will not be playable until an eligible membership is active again.
Use the account that will actually play the game when you claim it. Switching to another profile, changing storefront regions or looking at a different family member’s account can make a valid claim appear to be missing. The console also needs to be online long enough to authenticate the account and complete the license check.

How do I claim the November game on PS5?
Have a PS5 connected to the internet, a PlayStation Network account with an active Essential, Extra or Premium membership, and enough free storage for the installation. No disc, separate physical edition or special controller is required for the digital benefit. The November title must first be claimed while the offer is open; downloading it later is a separate step.
- From the PS5 home screen, open Games home.
- Select PlayStation Plus.
- Open Benefits, then choose Monthly Games.
- Highlight Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered once the November offer is live.
- Choose Download. If your storefront shows a separate Add to Library or claim button, complete that displayed claim action before starting the download.
- Check the confirmation screen or library entry before leaving the page. A completed claim is what preserves the entitlement; opening the product page without selecting its claim action is not enough.
Sony’s support flow combines selecting a Monthly Game with downloading it. Menu wording can vary slightly by system language or storefront, so follow the button actually displayed on your console rather than looking for a button that cannot appear before November 3. You do not need to finish the installation during November. You do need to complete the account claim during the offer period. Pausing, canceling or restarting the download after the claim does not erase that entitlement.
How do I download it later?
After you have added the collection to your library, you do not need to find the November promotion again. On the PS5, use the library path below.
- From Games home, open Game Library.
- Select Your Collection.
- Find Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered in the games you own or have added.
- Select the game and choose Download.
- Let the installation complete before launching; if it pauses, return to the download queue and resume it.
Sony also supports remote downloads from a web browser or the PlayStation App, subject to the account and console settings required for remote installation. The console must be linked to the same PlayStation Network account, and the account and console need to permit remote downloads. Remote downloading does not extend the November claim window: the entitlement must already have been added before November 30.
Remote installation is useful if you claimed the game near the deadline or want it ready while away from the console, but it does not bypass tier checks. The account still needs the qualifying membership when you launch the game, not merely when the download begins.

Aspyr’s product description says you can switch between the original polygonal models and remastered visuals. That makes the visual presentation an in-game choice; it is not a requirement to own two separate editions. The collection is presented as a single download and entitlement, so claiming it does not mean claiming three unrelated Monthly Games.
Sony’s November announcement quotes Adam Michel, Senior Director of Content Acquisition & Operations, saying: “All playable from November 3.” The announcement identifies the PS5 and PS4 versions; it does not establish a separate physical-disc purchase as part of the Monthly Games benefit. Do not expect a disc in the box or assume that buying a DualSense controller unlocks the game.
Aspyr identifies the package as single-player action/adventure. Nothing in the announced offer establishes a multiplayer mode, an online co-op requirement or a separate online service beyond the membership license check.
What if I meant The Midnight Walk?
The Midnight Walk is a different route. Sony lists it in the US PlayStation Plus Game Catalog from October 14, 2026, for Extra and Premium members. It is a clay-crafted dark-fantasy adventure following the Burnt One and Potboy, and it can be played on a normal PS5 or optionally in PS VR2.

To download it on PS5:
- Open PlayStation Plus from Games home.
- Select Benefits, then Game Catalog.
- Choose The Midnight Walk from the eligible titles.
- Select Download.
Do not add it to the November Monthly Games explanation. Catalog titles can be removed, so continued access depends both on your Extra or Premium membership and on the game remaining in the catalog. It is not the all-tier November claim described above. If the title disappears from the catalog, having downloaded it earlier does not by itself create a permanent license.
The October 14 date is specifically the US catalog listing. A member in another country should check that account’s catalog rather than assume identical availability. The ordinary PS5 version is the baseline; PS VR2 is an optional way to experience the game, not a requirement to download or launch its standard version.
What hardware do I need?
You need compatible PlayStation hardware and an eligible PlayStation Plus account to claim the digital Monthly Game. The Tomb Raider announcement does not establish a PS VR2 requirement; its normal PS5 version is the relevant download for this offer. The announcement also names a PS4 version, so PS4 owners can use the compatible version where their account and console support it.
A DualSense wireless controller is Sony’s standard PS5 controller and is the ordinary control method for a single-player PS5 game. It is not an extra purchase required to redeem the Monthly Games benefit. A replacement controller may be useful if your existing one is damaged, but it does not change the subscription entitlement or claim dates.

For The Midnight Walk, PS VR2 is an optional way to play, not a prerequisite for its standard PS5 download. Readers without PS5 hardware cannot install a PS5 game directly. A PlayStation 5 console is the relevant hardware path, while the optional VR route applies only if you choose the supported PS VR2 experience for The Midnight Walk.

- You are looking for The Midnight Walk: use Game Catalog and confirm Extra or Premium eligibility. Its catalog status is different from a Monthly Games entitlement.
Storefront availability can also differ by country. The Midnight Walk availability cited here is specifically the US listing, while the November Monthly Games dates are Sony’s announced offer dates and should be checked against the store attached to your account. Do not change the account’s country simply to chase a different listing; regional account rules and entitlements can differ.
What is the difference between a Monthly Game and a Game Catalog title?
A Monthly Game must be added during its stated claim window; once added, it remains in the member’s library for download and play while the qualifying membership is active. A Game Catalog title is available to download only while it remains in the catalog and while the member has the required Extra or Premium tier.

You still need to claim the Monthly Game during its November offer window; remote installation is only a delivery method after the entitlement exists. If the app shows only a purchase or subscription prompt, confirm that it is signed into the same account used on the PS5.
Is The Midnight Walk included with PlayStation Plus Essential?
No. The Midnight Walk is listed as a Game Catalog title for Extra and Premium in the US. Essential members should look in Monthly Games for the all-tier November offer instead. Upgrading tiers is a separate subscription decision and is not necessary to claim Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered.

No physical edition is established as part of this Monthly Games offer. The benefit described here is a digital PS5/PS4 entitlement delivered through the PlayStation Store. You do not need to buy a disc to claim it, and buying a disc is not a substitute for completing the Monthly Games claim before November 30.

What happens if I start the download before the game finishes installing?
The claim and installation are separate: once the title is added to your library, you can manage or resume its download from Game Library. The subscription entitlement, rather than the installation’s completion time, is what determines whether it was successfully claimed during the offer period.
