There is no single best choice among Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3 and Wan 3.0: match the model to the clip you need. Seedance 2.5 stands out for longer, reference-heavy storytelling and targeted revisions; MiniMax H3 suits shorter shots where native stereo audio, 2K output or motion transfer matters; Wan 3.0 offers a broad workflow that can use documents and web pages alongside media references. Those differences are more useful for choosing than a blanket claim that one model makes the best video.
The comparison below uses capabilities and prices announced by the vendors in 2026. It distinguishes what each vendor specifically states from what is not established, because the published specifications do not amount to a controlled, independent test of visual quality.

Which is better: Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3 or Wan 3.0?
The better model depends on your brief: choose Seedance for longer clips and fine-grained creative control, H3 for a shorter clip with explicitly stated stereo audio and 2K output, or Wan 3.0 for varied references and built-in editing and extension capabilities. Their published limits and features are not directly interchangeable, so start with the length, inputs and output format your project requires.
| Model | Published maximum duration | Published maximum resolution | Useful distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.5 | Up to 30 seconds per generation | No single universal resolution claim is stated in the cited project material | Multiple extensions, extensive image/video/audio references, timestamp-level audio/video editing |
| MiniMax H3 | 4–15 seconds | Up to 2K | Native stereo sound, motion transfer, and an announced focus on text and brand rendering |
| Wan 3.0 | Up to 30 seconds | Up to 1080P, at up to 30fps | Documents and web pages can join media as references; video editing and extension are supported |
These are vendor-published specifications, not a head-to-head quality ranking. The available announcements do not establish that any one model produces the best-looking result across scenes, prompts, or styles. Treat the table as a way to narrow a shortlist, then check how the model performs on your own prompt and reference materials.

Which AI video model makes the longest clip?
Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 both publish a maximum of 30 seconds per generation. MiniMax H3 lists 4–15-second outputs, so it is oriented toward shorter shots in a single generation.
What the duration limit means for a project
A maximum duration is not a promise that every prompt will produce a coherent, finished sequence at that length. It tells you the stated upper bound for a generation, not how consistently a model will preserve a character, action, or visual detail from its first frame to its last. For a complete narrative that needs more than one shot, plan for selection and editing rather than assuming one long generation will replace a sequence of clips.
Recommended Free Tools
Seedance describes support for multiple extensions, while Wan lists video extension among its supported functions. Those features may help continue a clip, but the published information does not guarantee seamless continuity or specify the exact number of extensions available in every access product. H3’s cited launch materials state the output range but do not give an equivalent extension limit.
When a shorter maximum is an advantage
If the deliverable is a product shot, a social clip built around one action, or a single moment to insert into a larger edit, a 4–15-second generation may be enough. In that case, H3’s shorter duration need not be a disadvantage, particularly if its stated 2K output or native stereo sound fits the brief. Conversely, if the goal is a continuous 30-second passage, the published maximum makes Seedance or Wan the more direct candidates to test.
Which model supports the most reference images and videos?
Seedance 2.5 publishes the clearest numerical allowance for image, video and audio references: up to 30 images, 10 video clips and 10 audio clips. Wan 3.0 has a wider range of reference types, including documents and web pages; its launch announcement and documentation describe the allowances differently.
Seedance: many media references
Seedance’s stated allowance is useful when a project needs to draw on a large set of visual examples, footage and sound. Its project information also emphasizes reference interpretation, alongside controls such as performance blocking and professional camera movement. A high reference allowance does not by itself show how strongly or consistently a generation will follow every item; choose the references that matter most and judge the result against the brief.

Wan: references beyond video and images
Wan’s launch announcement specifies up to 10 images, 5 videos and 5 audio clips. Its documentation describes support for up to 20 multimodal reference materials and adds documents and web pages to the supported reference types. These figures describe different presentations of the capability; do not assume that the announcement’s per-format limits can be combined freely or that the documentation’s total means 20 items of every type.
H3: multimodal context, with no stated count maximum
MiniMax describes H3 as understanding text, images, video and audio together. The cited launch material does not give a maximum number of references, so there is no well-supported numeric basis for ranking its capacity against Seedance’s or Wan’s stated counts.
For all three, check the interface or API you intend to use before building a workflow around a limit. Product access can expose a different set of features or constraints than a model announcement, and the available specifications do not establish that every access route accepts the same inputs.
How do their editing and creative controls differ?
Seedance emphasizes timestamp-level audio/video edits and controls for green-screen work, camera movement and performance blocking. Wan describes video editing and extension, including visual, plot, dialogue and reference editing. H3 highlights instruction following, text and brand rendering, motion transfer and regeneration.
When Seedance’s controls fit
Seedance is the most directly aligned with a revision-oriented workflow when the brief calls for adjusting a particular moment rather than regenerating an entire clip. Timestamp-level editing is the relevant distinction: it points to changes associated with points in the audio/video timeline. The published description does not specify every editable parameter or guarantee that a local edit leaves all other parts of a clip unchanged.
Green-screen editing, camera movement and performance blocking may also matter when the shot depends on staging or a deliberate camera move. These are capabilities highlighted by the project information, not evidence that the model will reproduce any exact camera setup or replace a conventional compositing workflow in every case.

When Wan’s all-in-one editing matters
Wan’s documented functions cover several parts of a video workflow: generating from text, using a first frame or first and last frames as image-to-video inputs, generating from references, editing, and extending. The documentation also names visual, plot, dialogue and reference editing. That breadth may reduce the need to switch between model functions for a project, though it does not establish the quality or precision of each edit.
When H3’s controls matter
MiniMax calls out instruction following, accurate text and brand rendering, and video-to-video motion transfer. Motion transfer is especially relevant when the desired movement is already present in source footage. The launch material does not quantify text-rendering accuracy or describe a benchmark, so treat the claim as a reason to test H3 with the actual typography, wording and motion in your project—not as a guarantee of exact output.
Which model has native audio?
All three vendors describe audio as part of their video-generation capabilities. MiniMax explicitly specifies native stereo sound; Alibaba lists dialogue, background music and sound effects for Wan 3.0. The Seedance announcement supports audio references and timestamp-level audio/video editing, but the cited material does not make an equivalent universal statement about stereo output.
That distinction matters if your deliverable needs sound generated with the video rather than a silent picture to which you add audio later. H3’s stereo wording is the most specific of the three. Wan’s listed dialogue, BGM and effects describe audio categories, but do not state channel layout. With Seedance, the published information supplied here supports an audio-aware workflow without establishing the same output detail.
Do not infer that a model will deliver broadcast-ready dialogue, a particular mix, or reliably synchronized sound just because its announcement mentions native or integrated audio-video generation. Listen to a sample generated for your intended use and confirm the output and editing controls in the particular access product.
How do the output resolutions compare?
H3 publishes output up to 2K, Wan 3.0 specifies 480P, 720P or 1080P at up to 30fps, and Seedance’s cited project information does not state one universal resolution ceiling. For a resolution-led choice, H3 has the highest stated maximum in this comparison, but the available figures do not establish that it delivers better image quality.

Resolution is only one part of a usable deliverable. The correct choice also depends on aspect ratio, the destination platform, and whether the source footage and final edit can support the intended output. MiniMax’s open-source announcement says H3 supports broad aspect ratios, but does not provide a specific list in the cited material. Wan’s listed output options give three resolution choices; its stated frame-rate ceiling is up to 30fps.
Seedance’s lack of a universal resolution figure in the cited project description should be read as “not stated here,” not as evidence that the model cannot produce a particular resolution. Confirm the selectable resolution with the product or API through which you plan to generate.
Which model costs the least per second?
Based on the published figures, H3 costs $0.08 per second at 768P and $0.13 per second at 2K; Wan 3.0 costs 0.3 yuan per second at 480P, 0.6 yuan at 720P and 1.2 yuan at 1080P. The currencies and resolution tiers differ, so these rate cards do not establish which service is cheaper without accounting for exchange rates, billing details and the output you need.
| Model and published rate card | Resolution | Published price | Billing qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| MiniMax H3 | 768P | $0.08 per second | MiniMax-published 2026 figure; input-video billing can also apply by duration and resolution |
| MiniMax H3 | 2K | $0.13 per second | MiniMax-published 2026 figure; input-video billing can also apply by duration and resolution |
| Wan 3.0 | 480P | 0.3 yuan per second | Alibaba Cloud Model Studio-published 2026 figure |
| Wan 3.0 | 720P | 0.6 yuan per second | Alibaba Cloud Model Studio-published 2026 figure |
| Wan 3.0 | 1080P | 1.2 yuan per second | Alibaba Cloud Model Studio-published 2026 figure |
| Seedance 2.5 | Not stated | Not stated | The cited announcement does not give one universal rate card |
Use these numbers as announced prices, not a guaranteed final bill: rates and availability can change, and the applicable price depends on the access product. For H3, include any input-video charge when budgeting a video-to-video workflow. For Seedance, check pricing in the specific service you will use rather than assuming a single price applies everywhere.

Wan 3.0’s documentation explicitly includes documents and web pages among its multimodal reference types. The cited Seedance information describes image, video and audio references, but does not identify documents or web pages as supported inputs.
That distinction is about references, not a promise that either model converts an entire document or website into a finished, fact-checked video automatically. For a source-based explainer, decide which claims, images and scenes should appear, then evaluate whether the generated clip represents them correctly. The published information does not describe document parsing accuracy, supported file formats, web access behavior, or how either system handles conflicting source material.

If your workflow depends on using a document or page directly, Wan is the one of these three whose documentation explicitly names those input types. Verify the available input method in the product or API you intend to use before relying on it for a production pipeline.
Where can you access each model?
The announced access routes differ: Seedance is rolling out through Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro, with API access named for BytePlus ModelArk; MiniMax lists Hailuo AI, its platform and open-source repositories; Alibaba Cloud Model Studio offers Wan 3.0.
Access does not necessarily mean the same thing across routes. A hosted interface, API and open-source repository can differ in availability, controls, limits and billing. MiniMax’s open-source announcement describes a community license, but the cited information does not spell out its terms; read the license itself before using the model in a commercial or redistributed project. For Seedance, the announcement says API access is coming through BytePlus ModelArk, so confirm whether it is available to your account rather than assuming general availability.
Check the selected service’s current documentation for account eligibility, regional availability, rate limits, supported input formats and billing before committing a project. The vendor announcements establish named routes, not universal availability in every country or edition.
How should you choose for a specific project?
Make the decision from the production constraint that is hardest to change: required clip length, reference materials, audio, output resolution, revision style or price. The following project matches are based on the vendors’ published specifications, not a neutral benchmark.
- Choose Seedance 2.5 for: a narrative passage up to its stated 30-second limit, many image/video/audio references, targeted timeline edits, green-screen work, or a brief that emphasizes camera movement and performance blocking.
- Choose MiniMax H3 for: a focused 4–15-second shot, native stereo sound, output up to 2K, video-to-video motion transfer, or a project where text and brand rendering deserve a dedicated test.
- Choose Wan 3.0 for: a workflow using documents or web pages as well as media references, a clip up to 30 seconds, output up to 1080P, or a generation that needs dialogue, music, effects, editing and extension capabilities.
If two models fit, run the same prompt and source material through each using the service and settings you would actually deploy. Compare the results against a short checklist: Does the sequence follow the brief? Are the required details preserved? Is the sound usable? Can you make the needed revision? Is the output available in the format and price tier you need? This is a practical project test, not a substitute for a controlled, independent visual-quality benchmark.
