Capcom’s 2022 announcement lists the 10-game Capcom Fighting Collection lineup and rollback support for every game. Capcom’s Street Fighter 30th materials, published in 2018, list 12 games and online play in four. Those are different kinds of coverage, not a quality ranking. A larger count does not mean a larger online community, and rollback support is a feature description rather than a measured latency guarantee.

Start with the library, not the marketing name
The decisive difference is the software library. Street Fighter 30th is a chronological arcade archive of Street Fighter releases. Capcom Fighting Collection is a cross-series anthology built around Darkstalkers and several games that are otherwise difficult to play on modern home hardware.
That makes the collections complementary rather than direct substitutes. Someone shopping for 3rd Strike is answering a different question from someone shopping for Red Earth. If you are undecided, write down the two or three games you actually expect to play most; the answer usually becomes immediate.

Can I play every game online?
Capcom Fighting Collection has the broader official online coverage: Capcom says all 10 games support rollback-netcode online play. Street Fighter 30th offers online play in exactly four titles, so it is not an all-games online package.

Neither collection’s official material establishes a current active-player count, cross-play support, or a comparable head-to-head latency result. Do not use the larger game count as a proxy for a larger online population. Rollback is designed to handle network delay more gracefully than older delay-based approaches, but the official count alone cannot tell you how busy matchmaking is in your region or how a particular connection will perform.
On PlayStation, the US store pages state that PlayStation Plus is required for online play. That is a platform subscription condition, not a claim that either collection requires a recurring fee everywhere. What is special about the Nintendo Switch versions?
Street Fighter 30th on Switch includes an exclusive recreation of Super Street Fighter II: The Tournament Battle. Capcom describes the original format as four linked cabinets supporting an eight-player tournament. It is a platform-specific recreation, not a thirteenth standard game added to the collection’s advertised 12.

No current universal price or stock figure is established here, so compare the actual listing you are considering rather than relying on an old launch price. Verify the platform, region, seller, edition, disc or cartridge format, and whether the listing is new or used.

- Choose physical if you want a disc or cartridge, collectable packaging, or the option to buy used. For Street Fighter 30th, plan for the day-one download if you need its Training and Versus additions.
- Choose digital if immediate installation and avoiding out-of-stock listings matter more than resale or ownership of a physical copy.
- On PC, Steam’s requirements recommend an XInput-compatible controller. A compatible gamepad or arcade stick is optional, but no particular model is required by the collection.

If you want both original lineups, compare the current standalone listings and any bundle contents shown for your platform and region.
