Yes. For personal, non-commercial use, Apple’s license permits one copy of Logic Pro on each Apple-branded Mac you own or control. To install it on another Mac, sign in to the Mac App Store with the Apple Account used to purchase it. That permission covers the app—not automatic access to the same project files on both computers.
Does one Logic Pro purchase cover two Macs?
Apple’s published license excerpt allows a personal, non-commercial user to download, install, use, and run one copy on each Apple-branded Mac they own or control. Apple describes this as a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license. Read the Logic Pro license terms for the applicable wording.

Apple also says that you can install a purchased Pro App on another Mac by signing in to the Mac App Store with the Apple Account used for the purchase. It identifies Family Sharing as another way to install Pro Apps on other Macs; see Apple’s instructions for downloading apps on Apple devices.

How to install Logic Pro on a second Mac
- Check compatibility on the second Mac. Apple’s current Logic Pro product page lists an Apple silicon Mac and macOS 15.6 or later as requirements. Confirm the current requirements on Apple’s Logic Pro product page before installing or updating.
- Sign in to the Mac App Store. Use the Apple Account that purchased Logic Pro, or use Apple’s Family Sharing route if it applies to your situation.
- Download Logic Pro. Find the purchased app in the Mac App Store and install it. The license for installing the app does not transfer your project files or guarantee that other software and audio assets are available on the second Mac.
Apple currently offers Logic Pro for Mac as a one-time App Store purchase and through Apple Creator Studio. Apple says the features are the same in the subscription and one-time-purchase versions. The cited license information does not establish what happens to access after an Apple Creator Studio subscription is canceled; check the current subscription terms if that affects your decision.
Will Logic projects automatically sync between Macs?
Installing Logic Pro on both Macs does not, by itself, make your projects appear on both. Apple’s product page discusses moving projects between Mac and iPad, but the Apple pages cited here do not describe an automatic Mac-to-Mac project-sync method.

To continue a project on another Mac, you need a file-transfer or storage workflow that makes the project and its required media available there. Check that referenced audio and other media are included or accessible, and that the receiving Mac has the plug-ins and other tools the project depends on. Keep a separate recoverable backup rather than relying on a single copy of a working project.

A portable external SSD is one possible way to carry or back up project files, particularly when projects are large. It is an optional accessory, not a Logic Pro licensing or installation requirement, and Apple’s cited pages do not prescribe it as the Mac-to-Mac transfer method.

Check requirements and storage on both Macs
Apple’s current product page lists Apple silicon and macOS 15.6 or later for Logic Pro for Mac. Apple’s separate Logic Pro technical specifications page lists macOS Sonoma 14.4 or later, so Apple’s published compatibility information conflicts. Use the newer product-page requirement as the purchase check, and verify Apple’s live compatibility information before buying or updating.
The technical-specifications page lists 6 GB of available storage for a minimum installation and 72 GB for installing the full Sound Library. It does not establish whether the full library must be installed separately on each Mac or describe a shared-library arrangement.

If you record audio on both systems, Apple says Logic Pro works with audio interfaces compatible with the installed macOS version. When an interface needs a driver, Apple advises checking with its manufacturer for an up-to-date driver. This is a recording setup consideration, not a condition for installing Logic Pro on two computers.
