Short answer: Biela.dev documents a prompt-driven process for planning and generating websites and applications, but the available evidence does not independently show how accurately it implements an arbitrary idea. Its strongest documented proposition is a two-stage workflow: clarify requirements in Plan Mode, then generate in Build Mode. It advertises connections to Supabase, Stripe and GitHub, plus tutorials for files, voice input, model selection, databases, mobile apps and project collaboration.
That makes Biela.dev worth testing against a specific brief, not treating as a guaranteed production-code generator. The homepage says subscriptions are “Coming Soon,” a terms page surfaced in French states limits that may need reconfirmation, and the privacy policy says project content, code and files are collected. Your result therefore depends on hands-on verification of features, generated code, integrations, deployment and the manual repair required.

Biela.dev presents itself as an AI-powered website and app builder. Its homepage reduces the workflow to “Imagine. Prompt. Create.” You describe the product you want, and the service is intended to turn that description into a project rather than making you assemble every screen and backend component manually. The homepage advertises both websites and applications, starting templates, and integrations for data, payments and source control (Biela.dev homepage).
Those are product claims, not the result of an independent benchmark. The same page reports “Over 10,000+ websites built with Biela in the last 30 days,” but it identifies no independent audit or methodology. Treat that number as a Biela-published marketing figure with the stated 30-day window, not as verified evidence that a typical prompt produces a reliable application.

How do Plan Mode and Build Mode work?
Biela’s tutorial catalog describes two distinct stages. Plan Mode is for clarifying what you want; Build Mode is for generating the product after the requirements are clearer. Separating those tasks can reduce the common problem of asking an AI builder to guess the data model, user roles and visual direction all at once.
Plan Mode: turn an idea into requirements
In Plan Mode, expect a question-and-answer exchange rather than an immediate finished interface. A useful plan should pin down the target users, screens, actions, data entities, permissions, integrations, responsive behavior and definition of “done.” If the plan never resolves those points, the later build has to invent them.

Build Mode is the generation stage described by Biela’s tutorials. You provide the clarified plan and let the system create the project, then issue additional prompts to refine it. The catalog also lists prompt enhancement, queued prompts, persistent project knowledge and roadmaps. Tutorial availability shows that Biela documents these workflows; it does not establish that every generated revision is correct or that context is retained perfectly in a real project.
Documented inputs and controls
The catalog includes tutorials for attaching files, using voice input, selecting a language and choosing an AI model. These options could make it easier to provide brand assets, specifications or a preferred interaction style. Confirm the controls in your account before designing a process around them, because tutorial dates indicate publication chronology rather than a guarantee that every feature remains available in every plan.
Which integrations does Biela.dev advertise?
The homepage names three notable integrations. Their practical value depends on whether the generated configuration is secure, complete and maintainable in your particular project; no source reviewed here independently tested those connections.
| Integration | Advertised purpose | What you still need to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and authentication | Schema quality, authorization rules, migrations, error handling and handling of secrets |
| Stripe | Payments | Checkout flow, webhook validation, failed-payment states, refunds and test/live environment separation |
| GitHub | Version control | Whether commits are understandable, history is usable, secrets are excluded and local development works |
Biela’s Explore catalog also lists tutorials for connecting a database, building mobile apps, using templates, sharing projects and preparing roadmaps. Use those tutorials as a map of documented capabilities, not as proof that the resulting app will deploy without engineering work.

Do you need to know how to code to use Biela.dev?
The prompt-first design is aimed at people who want to describe a product in natural language, so a professional software background is not presented as a prerequisite. However, “no coding required” is not established by the available evidence. You still need enough technical judgment to recognize a missing requirement, inspect authentication and payment behavior, test edge cases, manage credentials and repair generated code.
A non-developer can use Biela.dev effectively for a prototype by keeping the scope small and testing each user journey. For anything handling personal data, money or access control, involve someone who can review the source, database policies and deployment configuration. Prompting can accelerate implementation; it does not remove responsibility for the resulting system.
How well can Biela.dev implement an arbitrary idea?
There is no independent hands-on evaluation or benchmark in the available evidence, so assigning Biela.dev a score would be invented precision. The defensible conclusion is narrower: Biela documents a workflow that may help translate a well-specified idea into a starting project, while its accuracy, completeness and production readiness remain unproven here.
Evaluate a generated project against the same written brief every time. The following dimensions expose gaps that a visually convincing demo can hide:

Run the same test on a small internal tool, a content-heavy site and an integration-heavy app if you are considering broader adoption. Record failures and the time to repair them. That gives you an organization-specific answer instead of borrowing a marketing claim or an anecdotal score.
What does the tutorial timeline tell you?
Biela’s Explore page contains dated material, including “Getting Started with Biela” dated 28.05.2025, a template tutorial dated 04.06.2026, and database, mobile-app and project-workflow tutorials dated in June and July 2026. The dates show that the catalog has been updated over time and that Biela has documented more than a single prompt-to-page path.

They do not establish when each underlying feature launched, whether an older tutorial still matches the interface, or how stable the feature is. Open the relevant tutorial and reproduce its steps in a disposable project before committing a client project or production repository.
What are Biela.dev’s current prices and usage limits?
The official homepage currently displays “Subscription Plans Coming Soon.” A G2 pricing page lists plan names, token allowances and prices, but those details conflict with the first-party page and contain date inconsistencies. Do not treat the third-party figures as current prices; verify any amount in Biela’s live pricing or checkout flow before budgeting.
A French-language terms page surfaced by search states that free accounts can make a maximum of three prompts per day and that projects created by free accounts remain valid for 30 days (Biela terms page). Because this is a localized page with an old crawler timestamp, regard those numbers as statements on that terms page and confirm that they apply to your account, region and current service. A prompt cap can materially change the cost of iterating on a complex build, while a project-expiration rule affects how you archive prototypes.
The same terms page warns that AI systems may produce inaccuracies or outputs that differ from expectations. That warning is consistent with normal software-review practice: keep backups, export code when possible and do not place an unreviewed generated application in front of users.
What happens to project data and uploaded files?
Biela’s privacy policy says the platform collects project content, code and files, along with account information, device information, usage data and approximate location (Biela Privacy Policy). It also identifies TeachMeCode Institute LLC as the exclusive authorized commercial distributor and says it processes payments and billing.
Before uploading a private repository, customer records, unreleased designs or credentials, read the policy for the current retention, processing and deletion terms. Remove secrets from files, use synthetic data for prototypes and confirm who on your team is authorized to share project material. The policy establishes what categories are collected; it does not by itself establish that Biela’s security controls meet your regulatory or contractual requirements.

How should you test a Biela.dev-generated project?
A short, controlled evaluation is more informative than a polished landing page. Use a disposable project and a brief that names acceptance criteria, then test the result in this order.
- Write the brief first. List user roles, screens, data fields, validation rules, integrations, browser targets and explicit out-of-scope items. Include screenshots or design tokens only when you can state what must match.
- Run the requirement discussion in Plan Mode. Answer clarifying questions and save the resulting plan. Note any requirement the system overlooks or changes.
- Generate the smallest useful slice in Build Mode. Start with one complete journey, such as sign-up, creating a record and viewing it. A narrow slice makes defects easier to attribute.
- Exercise normal and failure paths. Test empty fields, duplicate records, expired sessions, denied permissions, network errors, mobile widths and keyboard navigation. For payments, use test credentials and verify webhook behavior rather than relying on a success screen.
- Inspect the project. Check repository structure, dependency versions, environment-variable handling, database policies, logging and error messages. Confirm that no API key or personal data was embedded in client code.
- Deploy a clean copy. Follow the documented setup on a new machine or environment. Record build failures, undocumented steps and differences between local and deployed behavior.
- Measure repair effort. Track prompts, manual code changes and regressions required to meet the brief. Compare the finished result with the acceptance criteria, not with the initial demo.
Repeat the test after a substantial revision. If a prompt fixes one feature while silently damaging another, persistent project knowledge or queued prompts may be saving context poorly for your use case, even if those controls appear in the tutorial catalog.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is Biela.dev a sensible fit for?
Biela.dev is most plausibly useful when you need a fast, inspectable starting point and can keep a human in the review loop. Suitable scenarios include:
- Early prototypes where requirements are still being clarified.
- Internal tools with limited users and low-risk data.
- Small marketing sites or application shells that benefit from a template and iterative prompting.
- Teams willing to validate Supabase, Stripe or GitHub behavior themselves.
Use more caution for regulated workloads, safety-critical software, large migrations, payment systems exposed to real customers and products that require a precise visual or performance budget. In those cases, the cost of reviewing and repairing generated code may exceed the time saved during the first draft.

What should you compare before adopting it?
If you are comparing Biela.dev with another builder, give every tool the same prompt, assets, acceptance tests and deployment target. Compare the dimensions below rather than counting template galleries or judging a single screenshot.
| Category | Evidence to collect |
|---|---|
| Output | Completed requirements, responsive behavior and accessibility checks |
| Engineering | Readable source, tests, dependency control and ease of handoff |
| Operations | Deployment steps, logs, rollback options and environment management |
| Integrations | Working authentication, data rules, payment events and source-control workflow |
| Iteration | Prompt limits, context retention, regression rate and manual repair time |
| Risk and cost | Verified current pricing, privacy terms, data handling and total staff time |
There is no sourced comparative benchmark that places Biela.dev above or below other builders on these measures. Your own controlled task is the appropriate basis for a purchasing decision.

So, how well does Biela.dev code ideas?
Biela.dev clearly documents a plan-then-build workflow and a growing set of integrations and tutorials. That supports trying it as an AI-assisted way to get from a written concept to a first project. It does not establish that the service can reliably code any idea, preserve every requirement, or deliver production-ready software without review.
Use a concrete brief, verify current account rules, protect sensitive data and measure the generated project against feature, security, deployment and maintenance criteria. Until an independent test is available, the honest answer is “potentially useful for acceleration, unproven for arbitrary production work.”
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFrequently Asked Questions
Can I use Biela.dev with an existing codebase?
The documented material mentions attaching files and connecting GitHub, but it does not establish a supported import-and-maintain workflow for every existing repository. Test with a noncritical copy and confirm how history, dependencies and environment variables are handled before moving an active codebase.
Can Biela.dev build mobile applications?
Its Explore catalog includes a mobile-app tutorial, which shows that mobile development is part of the documented subject matter. The catalog alone does not specify supported platforms, native versus web output, device testing coverage or store-submission steps, so verify those details in your account.
Does Biela.dev let multiple people work on one project?
Project sharing appears among the tutorials, indicating that collaboration is a documented workflow. Check the current sharing permissions, roles and visibility settings with a test project before giving collaborators access to confidential code or data.
Where can I confirm Biela.dev’s latest plan rules?
Use the live Biela.dev account, pricing and checkout screens together with the current terms for your locale. Third-party listings can lag or conflict with the homepage, and the surfaced French terms page may not reflect the rules currently applied to your account.
