NVIDIA’s FAQ lists more than 4,500 games in the GeForce NOW library. That is NVIDIA’s published figure on an FAQ accessed October 25, 2026; the FAQ does not state the figure’s publication year. It is a library count, not a claim that every game is included with membership, available in every country, or playable on every device. Check the current game list for your exact title.

- Good fit: You already own supported games in connected storefronts and want to stream them instead of relying on a console.
- Potential fit: You want supported free-to-play games and have confirmed the titles are available to you.

Can you use Amazon Luna without a console?

Check country and device compatibility
Amazon’s help page says Luna is offered in 14 countries. The page does not state the year for that figure, and availability can change; check Amazon’s live supported-country information before subscribing. Amazon’s compatibility help also lists browser, device, and operating-system requirements, so “I have a phone” or “I have a TV” is not enough to establish compatibility.
Amazon lists 10 Mbps as the minimum internet speed for Luna streaming. Treat that as provider guidance for a minimum connection, not as a guarantee of smooth play: network stability and delay also affect the experience. If several people or devices share the connection, the speed available to the gaming device may be lower than the connection’s advertised rate.

- Confirm that your country is currently supported.

Do you need a console, PC, or special controller?
Some cloud services let you play without owning a console, but “no console” does not mean “no requirements.” You still need a supported screen or device, a compatible way to control games, a reliable connection, and any membership or game ownership the service requires.
Separate cloud gaming from remote play
Remote play streams from a console you own; cloud gaming streams from the provider’s service. Backbone’s support information distinguishes the two for Xbox: Xbox Remote Play requires an Xbox, while Xbox Cloud Gaming can work without one when you have a Game Pass subscription.
