Identify your SHIELD hardware
The T7 recommendation is specifically aimed at SHIELD TV Pro owners because the Pro model supports external USB flash drives and hard drives. If you have a different SHIELD device, confirm that it exposes a usable USB port before buying a drive or a receiver. How do you pair the Pebble 2?
- Put the keyboard and mouse into pairing mode using their device-selection controls.
- On SHIELD, open Settings, choose Remotes & accessories, then select the option to add a Bluetooth accessory.

Why choose the BeeStation instead of a USB SSD?
The BeeStation is a 4TB personal-cloud storage device designed for files that live on the network. Put a Plex library there and the SHIELD can act as a playback client while other supported devices access the same collection. This avoids maintaining duplicate copies on each television or computer.
A NAS also separates storage from the playback box. You can replace or reset the SHIELD without moving the library, and you can centralize backups and permissions. Those benefits matter more in a multi-device home than in a one-TV setup.
What makes the BeeStation harder to set up?
You must connect the unit to the network, complete its account and storage setup, place media in an accessible folder, and configure Plex to index that location. How to connect the Ultimate 2C
- For Bluetooth, hold the controller’s pairing control until its indicator flashes.

What can go wrong, and how do you fix it?
Most problems fall into pairing, storage detection or network discovery. Work through the connection layer before changing app settings.
The Bluetooth accessory does not appear
- Put the device back into pairing mode; being powered on is not the same as being discoverable.
- Remove an old pairing from Settings > Remotes & accessories, then scan again.
- Move the accessory closer and temporarily disconnect other nearby Bluetooth devices.
